Thank you Lady_J,

I was thinking if so unlikely happened I would get preggers is it safe to start using the lupron (as I will not go in for a blood test before starting downregging)?

Also come to think of it, should I delay my lupron intake since my ovulation is delayed??? (My clinic is closed until January 4rth....).

Here we go again, over analysing....LOL.

hi ladies. we had a good christmas here in texas. hope ya'll had a great holiday.

even though i swore my parents and grandparents to secrecy, I got a quiet congratulations from my uncle on being pregnant. I got the pleasure of explaining that I in fact miscarried and that is why he was not to know in the first place. DH was pissed. He doesnt want to tell our parents on this next round but I had already told them the dates of everything so its either we tell them they aren't allowed to know, or we tell them everything.

on our walk tonight we decided to be stern with the parents (friends are out of the question altogether) and tell them if ANYONE tells ANYONE, all parents will be out of the loop from here on out until we make it to the 2nd trimester (God willing)

i am sure we will work it all out though... as for now, i'm tired and ready for bed, I will catch ya'll up some more tomorrow.
Me 25, DH 27

10X clomid, 3 w/IUI
IVF 1- BFP, MC@9 wks
IVF 2- BFN
husband laid off- no infertility coverage
3X with femara, all BFN's but has regulated my cycle and FINALLY got positives on ovulation test
Currently on my 4th cycle with femara

Hello Everyone, I am new here, and want to join this thread.

My husband and I will be going through our first IVF late January due to male factor. I am a past egg donor so I am very familiar with how all this works.

My doctor has me beginning Gonal-F once I start my period, which will be about January 15th. I will then start Ganirelix once they think I am ready. I am pretty nervous and in a way do not know what to expect since I am not a donor this time, but actually the one who wants to become pregnant.

Just a little background about us. We have been trying to get pregnant over a year now and my husband is 35 and I am 31. Hope it is okay I join.

Welcome Molly23, it is so nice to get new people.

We are still quite calm here, waiting for treatment to start.

I am impressed with you already being a donor, how did that come about? If you don't mind me asking.

Hello ladies,

Hope your Christmas was a very good one.

Welcome Molly23.........

Sorry that I have not posted but I have been battling a horrible cold that just wont go away. My RE told me when I went last week that we were going to start lupron, we did b/w and then the NP called and told me not to start the lupron. NO explinations or anything  she just told me to keep my appt for this week 12/29. I am just so tired that I rather just wait till AF arrives then make an appt. I don't know how the FET works but everytime I go I have to pay out of pocket and it is really killing my wallet. I will keep you ladies updated on my journey :? Have a blessed NEW YEAR with BFP to come our way.........

Hello everyone! I hope you had a great Christmas! I’ve been reading through everyone’s posting so I can get caught up since I haven’t been online a whole lot lately. I stopped taking birth control pills on the 25th and am supposed to start stims TOMORROW…however…my period never came. Lupron has delayed it before so we’ll see what they say tomorrow. I wonder if they’ll want me to wait until it comes. I’ve been thinking about it way too much!

LadyJ – Your posting about getting drunk on new year’s eve made me laugh. I hope you have a successful 2WW! It would be so great if you got a BFP. My RE calls the babies born just before the couple starts their IVF cycle, “Bonus Babies”.

Molly23 – Welcome to the board! Your 1st IVF…how exciting! I wish you the best of luck!!

Hi girls,

I am scheduled to start my first lupron tomorrrow to downregg, it was supposed to start after my LH surge however it appears I am having a cycle without ovulation as my ovulation detector has not yet detected it, figures it would happen at this time, arg!

Does it matter?

Please respond, even if you don't know for sure, just tell me what you think? My clinic is closed until January 04/09!

Thank you!

Here we go, roller coaster ride of a lifetime.......

BarbD - I hope your appointment tomorrow goes well. I can't believe they didn't give you an explanation for why you couldn't start your Lupron earlier. Keep us posted!

Sisi - Sorry you didn't ovulate this month. Do you normally? I think its fine to start Lupron without ovulating...but that's just my opinion. I think they just want to get control of your cycle via the Lupron. Guess I'm not much help.

Hello Ladies... Where do I begin??? First of all, I hope everyone had a great Christmas and got what they wanted.. and now looking forward to the NEW YEAR..yipee!! I know I am. I don't think I did it naturually this month. I am not feeling anything this 2WW but o'well, tell me something new. :( Anyway, I just wait no for my AF which should be coming in next week on or around the 6th, then I could start my BCPs. I am so excited and reality is starting to set in. I really hope and pray that we all get our BFPs this cycle and if I don't, then I may just wait till the fall to start a new cycle :( This whole IVF is alot of stress physically and mentally.

Sisi1... As far as Lupron, it should be ok to start. If you didnt ovulate this month for whatever reason, then the Lupron should basically stop it all together until you trigger. It is frusterating when u r to begin an IVF cycle and then your Af cycle goes all haywire. It did that to me on my first cycle... when I was ready to begin BCPs, my AF would just not come, I was about 2 wks late. Aaarrrr!!! and that is what I mean by mental stress. You should be fine. Asf or the preggers part... yippe if u do get pg before the end of cycle, but I am sure they will catch it before anything effects with all the US and bloodwork they will be doing every other day from this point on. Good Luck!!

Waitingfor4... i am glad u had a good Christmas even though I know how hard it was for you to have to face your family. but I am glad that u made i thru. And now the decision u have to make about telling people this time. I had the same decision to make... and the only person I decided to tell besides you ladies, is my mother. Not my MIL or SIL or Friends... my mother was the only one who really supported me thru this every day of my cycle. the others just didnt understand and when I told them it didnt work.. it was yesterdays news. I will tell them if I do get my BFP and like u, when I am in my 2nd Tri.

Molly... Welcome molly, of course u can join us. SO you were the donor before, how amazing. Bless you girl. As they say the Lord Rewards! and u will be rewarded. Welcome again, hopefully u can find the support u need with us. As Sisi said, it is calm right now waiting to begin, but soon we will all be fired up!!! Good Luck to you as well.

robin611... It is always stressfull in the 2WW, but I am trying not to get too excited cuz it always turns into heartbreak for me... so I will focus on preparing for my new cycle and if I see that my AF doesnt show as scheduled, then I will get excited  And same as u.. NEW YEAR, NEW OUTLOOK... so exciting.

BarbD... sorry u are feeling sick. While cycling I ahd a cold that never went away thru my whole cycle. but once I stipped meds, it finally went away. I hope u really feel better soon. As for the RE on the 29th, good luck, I hope they tell u that u can start soon. I will keep my fingers crossed.

TKat... welcome back hun... so u begin stims tomorrow... u r almost there hun. I bet u r super excited. Let me know how u r progessing... good luck to you Tkat. And I still plan on ghetting drunk on New Years... I already have my Tequila bottle all ready. As for the Bonus Baby... nice way of putting it. TY.

Well ladies.. I am off to ghet some cleaning done and play a game of checkers with my daughter, she is waiting. I will check in again later.

Hi Ladies.

I have been reading on this message board trying to learn more about the IVF process. I am 37 and have 2 children from my first husband. After my second child I made a bad decision and had a tubal ligation. Since then I have gotten a divorce and been blessed to have found Mr. Right. We would like to have our own bundle of joy. Last Tuesday I went to do my 3rd day bw. This Tuesday I go for bw & a u/s to get measurements of my uterus. Is that considered a mock transfer? What is a mock transfer? At this visit we are also going to be given our calendar and DH has to give his sample.

I am excited about finding this message board not only to learn more about what we will be going through but most of all to know that we are not alone.

Welcome, -uno MAS, I understand a mock transfer is when they "measure" how deep to place the catheter/embryos on the day of the transfer.

Espinozal23 -exeiting stuff, keep us posted how you develop your follicles over the next few days.
What do you mean by "decrease out" lupron? Did you get a schedule? I am terrified of being overly down-regged so I am interested in how they deceide this....
