I actually figured out a better way to make his photos available.

Here's a link to a page with quite a few photos.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!! That's brilliant news, Nikki! Sorry that you had to go down the c-section road, but I guess it's the best thing for you and baby. The pics are great - beautiful baby - it's funny seeing what you look like too after all these months and mental images!

My baby's still in there - I'm 37 weeks now. It's grinding away at my pelvis. I'm going to ask at my next midwife appointment about getting a pelvic exam as I'm starting to worry if I'll need a c-section as I'm so small and I don't want to have to go through hours of labour before they realise and then have to have an unplanned section. It doesn't seem to be standard to examine or scan you after 20 weeks here.

Busy nesting now, but getting very frustrating at how little I'm able to do unassisted. Still, I'm grateful that I'm still in 'one piece' and am able to continue to get ready, hopefully for a few weeks yet.

I'll probably be the last on our thread to give birth, so I hope there'll still be someone there to share it with!

Good luck anyone else still waiting.

Oh, and hope you all had a merry Xmas.

Thanks all for your kind words of congratulations! Its nice to hear from all of you....and so special for those of you who I have kinda known for a long time who stopped by. Glad to see many of you pregnant and doing well.

TinNotts....thats funny, I actually thought about the fact that none of us have seen pictures of each other and how odd it is to see faces after so long. I hope to see everyone elses baby pics when they arrive! :D

Holidays went well around here, but I just took things slowly and spaced things out. Still pregnant, and getting anxious to meet this little one. I'm uncomfy and cranky.... but no sign of labour yet.

Did lots of walking the other day, and thought maybe... but then it stopped totally when I laid down. I go back Wednesday for another appt, so hopefully some progress.

Hi all and good to hear from you. I'm still pg too. 38 weeks now. When I saw my midwife last week, she said I'm still 1/5 dropped, which is OK, but I had hoped to drop a bit more. Baby is closing in on average size now, so we don't want to get it too big. We discussed how I really need to try to give birth on schedule and not get too late, if I want to try to have a natural birth (ie not a c-section), as I am small. I have an appt with the consultant on 12th Jan to see what's what. I may ask for a sweep if she thinks its a good idea. I really want to avoid a c-section if at all possible, even if it means me kick-starting labour. I have been drinking raspberry-leaf tea (meant to soften the cervix!) and bouncing on a birthing ball (meant to get the baby deeper into pelvis) so far!

You must be shattered, Sameera! It'll be bad enough for those of us with just one baby, but two and your daughter!!! I don't envy you. I'm actually sleeping quite well now. If I sit up all night, I sleep better as I don't wake up in agony. I now don't lie down at all. I seem to have more energy during the day too - must be the nesting instinct. If it wasn't for worries about the size of my pelvis, I'd be happy to be pg for a while longer - I'm getting so much done at home!

It's wonderful not being at work. It's going to be awful taking a year off and then having to psyche myself up to going back and leaving my little one!

Well, good luck with the birth, Denise, hope it happens soon.

Catch up soon.

Tuesday June 6, at 3:00 am my water broke. However, no labour or contractions, so I woke Shawn up then told him to go back to sleep. We had a leisurely morning, and enjoyed breakfast with the girls. We then called Grandma, to look after the girls. We headed up to the hospital around 9 am. Still not a whole lot of contractions ~ but they confirmed that my water had indeed ruptured. We got up, walked around, enjoyed a lunch at Tim Hortons. A few more contractions, but definitely not labour. By 2:00 the doctors were recommending inducing labour, so we began with the IV. I held out the good fight until 5:00 pm, then opted for the epidural...whew. Thank goodness, that relieved most of the pain. Labour continued on until about 9:00, and at that point I was feeling things again, and it was almost time to go. I went from measuring 6 cm when the nurse checked to feeling the need to push almost immediately. At 10 cm, and pushing. The nurse paged for the doctors, unfortunately they were in the ER, and the dr. On call was still at home. So they said stop... yeah right. The doctor and resident from the ER rushed in just in time as Ivy Sianna was ready to be born. 10:14 pm and she was here. Eyes open right from the beginning. After her initial squawking, she was very calm, just checking out her surroundings. She nursed like a champ within the first half hour of life. All in all, much easier than my twin delivery. It was quicker, less painful, not a crowd in the delivery room, and recovery has been going much quicker. So other than being tired and a little sore, our family is adjusting to its newest member.
