Well, I had another u/s this morning (friday) and I still have to go back monday for pre - d&c bloodwork. They will call me Mon to schedule the d&c because they are not scheduling today (probably because of the holiday) If I start to bleed before then, we will cancel the d&c.
I will be relieved when it is all over (again). I have such a hectic schedule next month with work as I'm changing positions laterally, but it will be a lot of new stuff. I really hope this can happen soon so I can feel better physically and emotionally. I will probably be out of touch for a while but I will be checking in now and then. I really wish everyone the best!!! Chris, I'm eager to see what will happen with you next cycle - I hope you finally get your bfp. I think I will try again, but may have to look at donor egg (which nothing would be covered by insurance).

JDC So so sorry that this seems to be confirmed now... I was still holding out hope for you. If you are not planning to try again immiediately, maybe consider the DHEA, especially if DE out of pocket are the next step... I think it helped me out with number and quality....just an idea, but my thoughts are with you X X X
Lynnie I have confused myself and everyone else with my dpo calculations. I dont know whats wrong with me?? Anyway i have added them to my sig for my own sanity... I was 17dpo 1st beta, now 20dpo 2nd beta, so same difference, but they did just double every 48 hours and multiples normally multiply faster (or so i have read) so maybe just one (or 2) after all! Will see at u/s next week, even though i think its early, maybe they just want to sneak a peek ....
I was 676 at 22 DPO! Maybe just one, but I bet its two or more and one of them is not doubling as fast bringing the average down.
I had twins before and one passed at 7.5 weeks and that one brought my doubling time down ( I am pretty sure ).
I hope you get your twins. I always hope for twins or singles for everyone as they are safest and we have come too far to have to worry about too many (which is SO ironic).
So lets go for two and no more than three. I secretly wish for twins as well, but even one will THRILL me to tears! I def would put my money at at least twins for you. I will be surprised if its just one! I CAN NOT wait to find out!!!!! Serious, its so exciting!

Lynnie I think you might be right... I cant wait to see something on the u/s to give me a clue!! They want me to call in on Monday to book, but by my calculations (i.e. could be totally wrong) i think i am 5weeks today, so any day next week will be too early to see anything except maybe the sac(s). They didnt mention anything about a 3rd beta so i'm guessing they think its ok and the u/s might give more info.....When is your next u/s? I'm guessing it must next week as well?
jandc- i'm so sorry for your struggle right now.. it is so hard to lose one. sometimes it doesn't make sense- regardless of our faith, love, or parenting abilities...sometimes it just doesn't work. for me, it's been an exercise in perseverance, and it's been hard not to take negatives, cancellations, and m/c's personally (like think it's a sign i should stop trying)-- and i never want to get to that place. so i wish you and JDC a speedy healing process where you can stay connected to hope.
kas- i think they definately want to see how many you have growin in there!!! anything past 2 can be a health risk for you...so i think they just want to take good care of you and know what's coming. keep us posted on that u/s.
hi to everyone else.. so we just got home from our xmas tour- spent the whole day driving and on a ferry. sooo happy to be home. and i HAVE NOT bled in days!!! woooohooo. some scant, dark spotting.. so i'm hoping all is well. this was what i wanted for xmas....have an u/s on monday, so that will tell all. if it's good (it'll be exactly 11 weeks), i'll feel so confident everything will be ok. can't wait.

Hey Kas, just a quick note. First congrats on the great 2nd beta. I bet the u/s is to see how many. When my first beta was 7131 my 2nd beta 2 days later was 21,000 something my Re scheduled me for an u/s the next day to see how many. After the u/s and we saw the two sacs he admitted to me that he thought all 4 had taken, which is what I thought with numbers like those. Just my thoughts on the early u/s.
Thing's look to be going well. I go for my 2nd beta no Tue. My first level's were 684 I hope they go up . I was looking at some chart's from what i can see my level look to be on line. I hope you all are doing well and had wonderful x_mas.
Congrats to all the BFPs.. I am so happy for everyone..
And for those with negatives or miscarriages. i can honestly say i know how you feel and big hugs to everyone ...
I kind of took a break from posting on the site .. after the chemical i was just devastated.. and i have been embroiled in work stuff.. lots going on in my business (hedge funds) these days.. Luckily we have thought that Bernie madoff was a fraud for years so stayed away.. although it has been quite fun as i have been on TV a number of times and quoted in the press about the scandal... so sad for so many people..
Anyway.. i wonder if anyone from this thread is starting another cycle .. i just finished 7 days of Lupron and now am on Ganarelix.. start stimming on the 5th ... #6 the day after my 41st birthday.. please god let 2 x 3 be the charm!!!
I know there are two other baords i just havent been able to connect there.. would be great to be with some of the girls from this thread whoich had such great success and Karma!!!

hi NY..i'm soooooo happy to hear from you!! and i'm glad you're starting again...i believe many of us are meant to persevere until success is achieved. 'veteren' barbies meant to make it til the end (hope you remember that reference, otherwise i'll just sound crazy!!)
i worried about you after your chemical; but know from my own experience that sometimes we just need to disappear from the ivf world and regroup... experience work and other parts of our lives again.
and i get not connecting with the other threads..i'm in the same boat. i briefly joined the 'expecting in july' thread, but reverted back here again as i know everyone and feel connected here...kinda like an 'ivf' home for me. i'm not necessarily looking to be connected to others with a july due date, just wanting to connect with those with know me and have similar experiences...so i'm happy to stay with this thread til it's dying days!
congrats berning on good betas, how's things for you lynnie? chris? kas- any symptoms yet to go along with those big betas?

Great to see all of the BFP's and some of you guys are already coming up to the end of the first trimester - huge congrats, how fast time goes!!
For all those still working through this cycle, wishing you all the very best and for those of you guys who didn't get your dream this time - may 2009 be your year!! I am hoping dearly that the fertility and luck gods are going to finish up on their prolonged donut eating break on this end of the world and come help me out next year!!

I dont have time for personals, but I wanted to provide KAS with a website so she can figure out how far along she is http://www.ivf.ca/duedate.php - you are probably further along than you think because the starting date is normally one or two weeks before retrieval.
