Merry Christmas! :D

DD is sleepling. She did quite well last evening. then this morning she awoke, ate, played a bit and now is napping, phew :?

Yasmina-good luck with your appt tomorrow. fingers crossed that you do not have to have a c-section [assuming you do not want one]. I know, I know, I had one. Your recovery should be quicker with a vaginal delivery than c-section. I still have swelling above and below the incision site, slowly it reduces :( I'm still on restricted activities, no heavy lifting :( knowing that you are like myself [fitness queens], this translates into
no heavy fitness workouts :(

Tammy-enjoy the holidays, and that DS of yours. I will continue to pray for ya'll.

I know for many of us we have an urgency to 'hurry' on with the tmt. We are bumbarded with statistics from fertility to genetic aberations. And as a consequence this increases our stress, stress that can potentially affect the outcome of our tmt. I was told that since neither DH nor my family lineage seemed to have members with any genetic afflictions then the probability is reduced a bit. This alone gave us hope to continue to use my eggs at 43. My point is that yes we have the general population stats working 'against' us. But look at your families, look at the strength within, for perhaps the odds are not as bad as they may appear. Like everything else many physicians have varying thoughts on this topic. To me it is important to minimize the stress that comes from the tmt, the stats, and just plain life and focus positively and lovingly on your goal. And sometimes be open to that goal having flexibility. Miracles come in different wrappings. The trick is to recognize it when presented to us.

Wishing everyone all the best this holiday season. Enjoy the special moments especially those with family.

Cheers!

hi everyone,
Haven't been on the board since I got my bfn november. I hope you are all doing well. I just couldn't let this consume me anylonger. I was going nuts. I am just letting it go. My time has past. I feel terrible for DH because as you know he doesn't have kids. Its so hard. we cannot afford to do another IVF. We only had the one shot. So If God wants me to have a child then he will make it happen naturally.

Take care.

Rhonda: It is tough to get the BFN. After my BFN, I feel the same way that if Andrew is to have a sibling, we will most likely have to get pregnant naturally unless we adopt. We have spent $$$$ on fertility treatments and enough is enough.

Take care,
Tammy

Hi all,

Sorry for being absent for the last few days. My folks (my father, 77 and his wife, 45) just arrived in the US from China on Christmas day and been busy to orient them ever since!

Tammy,

Andrew is very handsome and serious as you said, he must be a brainy like you!

Rhonda,

Glad that you came back to check on us, good luck on trying natural route!

Ppt,

What is the result of blood test?

Catharine,

Your daughter's little skirt tickled me. She looks adorable in that! I never dressed our DD with anything girly at this age and people always confused her as a boy when we were out about!

Kelly,

Sorry that I missed your post but I saw people in other thread answered your question better than I would have. I felt the same, before stimulation, there is no scan to tell how many follicles that you will get. I got too many eggs in my cycle mostly because I was supersensitive to fertility drugs, which I don't have a clue why - my guess was that I never needed to use birth control pills in my entire life.

BTW, what is AFC?

About me, I had an uneventful check last Friday. My ob became a cold and calm person again. I did not gain any weight in the last two weeks! As a result, I did not get an U/S to estimate the baby size, nor scheduled c-sec. He even said that I invented the possibility of giving me an ultrasound! I took our DD and DH along for this "seeing" baby thing, but did not get it! How disappointing!

Wish everyone a happy new year!

Hey - hope everyone is enjoying the holidays.

Yasmina - love to hear the "boring" visits - it just means everything is going great. Keep them coming until the little one makes the "Grand Entrance" into the world !!

ppt - sorry to hear about the treatment not working.

Rhonda - DH and I will be with you guys trying the "au natural" route in January.

Tammy/Catherine - gald to see the little ones. They are sooooo cute.

Well - it has finally come to jump back on the roller coaster. I got AF today and am going back in the clinic tomorrow for baseline testing. I hope to be able to have the ER/ET in February. That is, of course, if our trip doesn't screw it up (i.e. having to have BW that week). Hopefully not!

Hi everyone! :D

Tammy: DS is so adorable and serious as you said.

Tracy-wishing you success as you begin your journey.

Yasmina: sorry to hear the lack of warmth at your last Ob appt. You and your family must be getting anxious, you DS arrival is right around the corner. How nice to have family come to help.

P: my heart goes out to you. Please take care of youself and know that we are here for you.

To everyone else wishing you well especially during these holidays. Hope everyone is having a wonderful time and the opportunities to visit with family and friends.

We are doing well. What schedule DD had is completely gone due to the holiday festivities. I've only managed to get cat naps in here in there trying to keep up with her party schedule, phew I'm tired.

Wishing everyone a Happy New Year!

Hello all. YOU ARE NOT GOING TO BELIEVE THIS. After my bfn on Thanksgiving I had given up. I had pretty much come to terms with not having a baby with DH. I had AF after the failed IVF and have been waiting on AF . It was due around Christmas or sometime before. Well I kept thinking it was coming. I was moody and cramping. So yesterday I said what the heck and took a preg test. I could not believe my eyes. BFP!!!!!!!! I am in shock. Both lines popped up immediately and bright too. I was shaking so bad. DH was in the kitchen cooking dinner. I called him in and showed him and he was shocked. I said I am gonna take another one in an hour. I was so worried it was false positive. So one hour later. BFP again. Still wasn't satisfied. Went to work (hospital). Got a preg test from the hosp and BFP. I must be doubting thomas because i still thought what if this is a bad joke my body is playing on me what if menopause is coming and this isn't real. So, my nurse friend got the lab to draw blood and guess what. BFP. I am in total shock. I went to my OB doc today and she drew labs and progesterone levels and according to that I am four to five weeks pregnant. My beta was 5000. My lmp was nov 29th. I dont know a good beta from bad, but the nurse said that is right on track.

Ok so my first RE told me " you will never get pregnant" you proably wont even have a perid anymore. I have had six since that moment. My new RE told me I would never get preg. on my own without ivf. Here I am. I cannot believe this. I am sorry to ramble on but I want this to scream to everyone. THERE IS HOPE. NO MATTER WHAT YOU HAVE BEEN TOLD. There is hope.

I go for ultrasound jan 15th. I will keep you informed. Thanks so much for all of your support.
