KMHTTC-Last week i had a bout of nausea, dizziness, and was tired ALL of the time. For Christmas, i was at my in-laws asleep or relaxing on the couch the entire time. I didnt go out to visit any other family members. I also have been having and continuing to have cramps. AF-type cramps. Its hard to explain, but it really felt like she was coming any day. I also have been dealing with the flu, so i cant really tell what symptoms are from either the pregnancy, the progesterone or the flu. Oh! and i 've also had the brownish-colored discharge. I called my nurse on Friday and she said it may have been implantation bleeding. I had the "tugging" feeling in my lower abdomen. My boobs are beginning to get a little sore. I had a mild case of OHSS so i think I am beginning to feel those symptoms again. My stomach is huge. I look at least 3 months pregnant.

Trying to stay that way get down in the dumps sometimes but then I think that if its my time then it will happen. I am so excited though I just want to go out and start buying things but I dont I did however make a few homemade baby blankets and I said to myself if I dont get to use them then it was made for me to make them for someone who is.

JJ - CONGRATS! What more is there to say? I'm so happy for you and DH.

Gigi - Double congrats! Twins sounds really exciting. I'm personally terrified of twins - but know I'd be happy if I got pregnant at all and manage to take care of them somehow. A lot of people do!

espinozal - Great work on the PMA. All of this stuff is out of our control - the more you can relax and accept, the better. Way to go!

dagnymichelle - thinking of you and your beta. Let us know how it goes. I'm praying for you and your baby.

NHY - I can't believe you transfer is almost here! Update us on your numbers.

AFM, two days until my beta and just this afternoon I had an urge to POAS - then I thought about how I'd feel if it was BFN and decided it wasn't worth it. 2 more days for me - at least I'll get my results by NYE!

Sprouthaus... I transferred two blasts. I'm hoping this one worked! I had 17 embies as of day 3, but by the time we got to day 5, we had only 4 blasts to freeze. I'm pretty sure one of these will be our baby. Your beta will be here before you know it. I do remember the feeling of waiting for the call from my RE. I hated that feeling. In fact the day of my beta, I will be at work teaching. So I won't be able to answer the phone. I'm going to give them DH's number and he'll have to break the news to me. He did it the last time when I had a BFP. I was kinda sad I didn't get the call, but oh well!

Hi Ladies - sorry I have been MIA. This last BFN hit me and DH REALLY hard . We had to try and pull ourselves together for Christmas but we are still having a hard time. We were so positive this round and to get another chemical/BFN, well it just kicked us pretty hard. When my RE called with the news that my beta went down the 2nd day, I felt like I was consoling him. Even though we have 7 frozen blasts remaining, he wants to see us before we move forward. He didn't sound too promising that we would be able to make this work.

But enough crappy news...congrats to you JennJenn on the BFP and all you other ladies on the 2ww, I am thinking of you.

Happy New Year to everyone.

W4B... I am so sorry. My heart goes out to you and your DH.

There is nothing I can say to make the pain go away or make it go by easier. I've cried like never before on my DH's shoulder during this process and know DH has been having a tough time with it as well. The important thing is that you guys are supporting each other. I can't tell you how much this infertility has brought me and my husband together. We feel closer to each other because of it and know our relationship is stronger b/c we choose to get through it together. My thoughts are with you. ((((Hugs)))))

W4B - I have been thinking about you quite a bit these past few days. It is so difficult to get past a BFN and I must imagine even harder to get past a chemical/BFN. Please keep us posted regarding your meeting with RE. We are here to support you and your DH no matter what comes your way. And remember, your baby is waiting for you....your time will come.

JennJenn - congrats on an amazing xmas present.

Unfortunately I started my period on Saturday and it was too heavy to hope for a BFP. I got my beta today and it was a chemical pregnancy. What I didn't realize is that means that we had implatation which I guess is good news. After crying for the last 3 days, I'm not sure of the next step. It's not so much that the process stressed me out as the cost and the low odds. I keep looking back to see what I could have changed.

I've been researching since Saturday which is how I cope. The two things that I found are the Fertility Diet and Mind/Body Fertility Program www.mindbodyinfertility.com. I was thinking of doing both of these things before trying for a 3rd IVF.

Does anyone have any other suggestions?

My advice to everyone out there is to assume PUPO and don't take those stupid HTP's. I really think the early negatives impacted my PMA. Do not stress out over anything except for life-threatening emergencies. Nothing matters more in the scheme of things than having a healthy baby. No worrying, only happy thoughts of holding your new baby.

Good luck to all, sorry to be a grinch.

Wishing4Baby - I totally know how you feel. I really like the concept of www.mindbodyinfertility.com. They have their next session starting on Jan 19th. If I can convince DH, it sounds like what I need. I have been a walking stress bomb since being an adult. Since you are in Southern CA, it might be worth your while. They claim 55% success rates which is better than the 30% that IVF has.

I figure that if I combine the 55% of www.mindbodyinfertility.com, the 30% with IVF, the Fertility diet...let's call it 10% and the acupunture another 20% should give me a 115% chance

Does anyone have IVF insurance? If so, please share the name with me.

Thanks

DM - I was afraid after not seeing you on the board for a few days that you had a BFN. I am so sorry for you and I can relate to your hours of research. As soon as I had my first BFN, I made an appt at an accupunturist, read a bunch of books and changed a lot in my life. If you are taking some time off before your next round - I suggest you look into the book "Fully Fertile". It is a 12 week program to increasing your fertility through diet, yoga, relaxation, breathing, meditation, accupuncture, etc. It was actually co-written by my accupuncturist and if nothing else - it has really helped me stay relaxed and feeling good this cycle. Plus, it is a $25 book full of stuff you can do yourself (i.e. low out of pocket cost).

I think I'll keep practicing the stuff in the book even after our journey here - because I just feel better in general, both mentally and physically.

I've never heard of IVF insurance - is this a special insurance just for IVF? I'm in Illinois and we are lucky that IVF is by law covered by our health insurance - but not indefinitely and I do think we will run out of coverage soon.

All my best to you and DH. My final word of advice is that I rushed into this 2nd cycle after my BFN and I wish I had given my body time to rest. Had a couple 'normal cycles' without meds and just let my body heal itself. It takes about 120 days from germination to get to a mature egg - so if you can really focus on yourself for a while - your eggs should be healthier for it.
