Our IVF Miracle Firstborn in 2009 - Connecticut

Post by Dri-Jim »

Hi girls. Some of you might know me (Jim) and my wife Adriana through the IVF forum. Today we're the proud parents of the first baby born in Connecticut in 2009! And since she was born at the stroke of midnight we are at least tied for the first baby born nationally.

Coming from the miracle of IVF this is really something. One link misspells her name, but that's okay. Sophia Louise is here today!

Thanks to our doctors and many friends and supporters here.

Jim and Dri

Loopie- i am in west haven. What sculptures are you talking about, at the beach?

Jim- again congrats, and I was curious, do you win something (besides for a perfectly beautiful baby) for being first in the state or first in the nation? I thought I had heard free diapers for sometime.

Michelle- We've already received gift baskets from several manufacturers with clothes, breast pumps, protection devices, etc. I think Gerber gives a year of free baby food and I was told free diapers might be coming too! I'm typing this from the hospital room as Sophie is sleeping next to me in her crib and Dri is in the shower. Anyway, I'll let you know if we receive anything else. I was hoping for Super bowl tickets for dad but thery haven't arrived yet. :(

Loopie, I haven't seen or heard of these sculptures. Where in Middletown are they so i can take a look? And thanks for your support!

Haha Jim! I think if super bowl tickets were part of the deal, then it would be much more of a "competition!" It might make more dads interested in the labor and delivery...lol

Michele- yes- the sculptures in West Haven were along the beach walk about 4or 5 years ago- we then moved them to Madison- in fact, dh's sculpture (i'll put a photo of it on photobucket) is now in a private collection of a person in Madison -

wow Jim- lots of great stuff for the baby- hope you get those tickets!- did DW hold out on that last push?   the sculptures were along the main street- both in front of commercial buildings as well as private homes- what a lovely town!

best for2009!

ps: Michele - I voted for Ella!

Jim-

I realize you wrote these posts a while ago, but I just came across them. Congratulations! I remember reading about all your IVF woes, and couldn't be happier to read about your little miracle now! And first new baby in 2009- double miracle :). Enjoy your bundle of joy :).
