Espinozal23 - Sounds like you have some good follies growing. Sorry to hear about your lining, hope it starts to thicken before ER. If it doesn't I guess they can freeze your eggs and do a FET later. A lot of RE's say that FET's are better because our bodies are not on all the drugs. Keep us posted.

Lady_J - I am also waiting for AF. Took my last BCP yesterday. YEAH I have been spotting so I am sure AF will be here real soon. Then I can start BCP's again. Get my insurance approval. Order my meds and then wait for AF again. So much fun. I was reading your post from yesterday and got a laugh because I went out last night and drank beer, and more beer, and more beer. I was drinking faster the DH and when I do that I usually end up sick. So as I am typing away my head is aching and I haven't even tried to eat food yet. Thankfully I didn't get sick last night.

prayin4BFP - sorry that your boss was a bit**. Good to hear that DH can carry the load. That must be nice. I make more money then my DH so that will never be a possibility for me. I guess if one of us has to stay home and raise a kid, he will be the stay at home dad. It just isn't fair. I will start doing the AF dance for you so then AF will come and you can start stims asap.

Sisi1 - Glad you are feeling better. I hate having that bloated feeling but i guess it just goes along with IVF. I think the worst part for me is the bloating and taking those stupid antibotics. I hate the antibotics.

mandeekins - Welcome to the board. Seems that you will be stimming in no time. While stimming eat lots of protein and drink lots of water or gatorade. That will help if you get over stimulated.

Hope everyone else is doing well. 2009 will be the year for your BFP's.

to_have_fun08 - Thanks for the advice...I've actually only met with the Dr once and he talked fast and went over the whole process in a 30 minute speech, so I've got so many questions! We went to our IVF class...but there was a guy in our class that monopolized all the time.

I do have another question for ya'll. I think I posted it somewhere, but my husband is a paramedic and has been giving me my shots...I'm a weenie! But, the last two days I had to put my big girl panties on and stick myself. The first time I tried my belly, and I got too squeamish so I tried my leg the second time. I was so proud of myself for doing it! However, I think I stuck myself in a vein in my leg :?: I have a bruise now that follows the path of a really big vein on my thigh. Is this normal? DH thinks I stuck myself in the vein, do you think that's a bad thing?

Also, tonight's the last night for me to take my BCPs. Should I have AF? My breasts have been very tender the last couple of days, just like they are when AF comes. I think I need to research more, I feel like a moron! I thought I didn't want to have a period? LOL, bear with me ladies!

For those of you already stimming...I'm completely and utterly green with envy. It feels like I've been on Lupron forever and I want to move on. But, it's actually only been a week...jeez...I need to find something to keep my mind off all this!

Mandeekins... U have come to the right place for answers but always check with your RE for confimation. As for the shot on your leg... poor thing u did hit a vein. It is not bad, u will just feel sore on that spot for a few days. I alwys did Lupron and Stims on my legs cuz I was to scared on my belly. Of all them injections, I only got bruised like 2 times and that was because I poked a vein, but re said nothing bad, just sore for a few days.. your system will still get proper dosage, but uncomfortably. As for AF, once u stop BCPs, did u take inactive pills also? But once u stop BCPs, your AF can arrive bewteen 3-10 days from stopping. It took me 7 days to get my AF once I stopped BCPs. And hun,.... don't worry, stimming for u is just around the corner. Once u start stimming, it is usually normally a 10 day stimming period before ER... so soon hun, soon.

To_have_fun... Glad u drank alot of beer  and I am glad that u didnt get sick. I lucked on that too... drunk but not sick. Hope AF arrives soon for you.

CT_michele... Welcome to the Board. Congrats on your first success and healthy pg and baby. It's never too soon or too late to start again. I plan on trying again soon too if I ever have a baby. You should be alright on this board, if all goes as planned, I should be ER/ET in February. So will u be doing fresh or frozen sperm?

Well the nurse finally called me back, and yes...she said I probably blew a vessel...no big deal. But, she made it sound like she didn't want me doing my injections in my leg. She gave me the spill about the back of my arm or my tummy :?

So where do ya'll stick yourselves? When my husband does it, it's in the back of my arm. The stomach area just bugs me for some reason!

Lady_J - I know it's soon...I'm just being a whiney butt...lol...I think it's these meds!

I do lupon in the thighs but stimms in the belly.
In all honesty I like belly better because my fat is softer there and it makes it easier to pinch for the injection.
No way would I have hubby do it, I must feel better control then that :D

Mandeekins... did the Nurse say it was better to do it in the stomach? Did she say it was more effective there? I always wondered because I found it easier on my thigh so I just do my injections there. But if it is more effective in the stomach =then this cycle I will just do it there. As for the soon part... I want to say so real soon u will be doing stims.

Sisi1... That is exactly why I ended up doing POI myself. My DH was alsways shaking and wanted to shov it in and I would freak out. So I did them in front of a mirror.

Mandeekins- Don't worry about being a big baby when it comes to shots, I am the same way. I made dh do every shot for me. I had him do them towards the top of my behind, so I wouldn;t have to watch. We would also switch sides so i didn;t get too sore.

Lady J- We have sperm frozen from last time. DH had to have it surgically extracted which was very painful for him. We also couldn't take a chance of it not being around next time, so we paid the $300 per year to freeze it. From what I read, the quality of fresh vs frozen sperm is the same. We did not freeze embryos b/c of the cost the first time though, so I will have to stim and do the ER/ET thing again. This time we might freeze embryos because it is our last chance with insurance paying, or we might put 3 back this time to up our chances, we will have to see what doc says on the 22nd.

CT_Michele - Thanks for the support, glad I'm not the only weenie :D So you said the TESE was painful for your DH? The dr. told us that it would be similar to the vasectomy so DH is thinking it'll be no big deal! I don't think I'll tell him!

On another note, so glad to be taking the last BCP tonight! One more week of Lupron and I get to start posting some numbers with you gals! Woohoo!

Hello ladies-- I finally went to the RE, we did an u/s and my uterus looks good but no AF yet, which makes the wait longer. He did start me on provera and says that should get AF to come, then we will start the lupron for about 10 days or so, after that the big FET will happen. At this point I am guessing maybe sometime between the 15 thru the 20 of Jan.

I feel your stimming pain since I was there back in Oct., I remember feeling bloated and could only wear my scrub pants and yoga pants nothing with buttons or zipper. I also agree it will be worth it all at the end when we get BFP(hopefully by Valentines Day :D )

WELCOME to all that joined us recently, between my cold and working 12hrs, I barely remember my own name so off to bed I go.

Happy weekend to all

espinozal23 - I'm not sure if it thickens the lining or not, but I do know that baby asp is part of the regimen my RE has prescribed. However, I don't start it until the day of ET. I did find this article about it which would support what you've been told:

http://yourtotalhealth.ivillage.com/bab ... n-ivf.html

Good luck!!!!!
