Man, it's getting exciting around here! I'm catching the fever!

TKat and espinozal23 - Things are looking good...keep us updated! :D Those numbers do look good...are the numbers of follies usually that high?

prayin4BFP - I didn't have any symptoms from the BCPs except headaches which is normal for me. I would call your RE to make sure everything is good. Let us know what they say.

JennLB25 - Lots of positive energy towards cyst shrinkage! Good luck with the shots! I'm one that gets quite quesy over stuff like this and I was forced to give myself the shot. I'm happy to say, it's really not that bad once you get the hang of it!

CT_Michele - Doin' the AF dance for ya!

How funny is it that once we girls start with AF, we hate her dreaded arrival...until we go through this! It's funny actually to see so many wishing for her to visit!

And now another question...I gave myself my shot last night in the belly for the first time over from my belly button like the nurse said. Well today and I have HUGE bruise that hurts and there's a welt underneath it. This isn't my lupron sitting there is it??? I'm sort of worried, but don't want to call the nurse quite yet if I shouldn't. I think from now on I'll stay on my right thigh and on the backs of my arms (when DH gives the shot)! All of a sudden I'm not having good luck with those dang needles!

Lots of good things happening ladies!!

Lady J: I hope your "friend" comes to visit soon!

Barbd: I agree with Sisi1! It may be PMS. Keep your fingers crossed it will come.

tkat & espinozal23: I'm so excited for you both!!!! I hope the best for you!!

I had my dr appt today. I started my bcp's and antibotics today. The fun has just begun. My dh and I go back on Monday for SIS, b/w, sperm test etc. Hopefully everything will stay on track!!! It's very exciting.

Everybody STAY POSITIVE!!

Only 9 more days left on OCPs. To top my good news I have a UTI thats getting the worse out of me. The thing is that if i take antibiotics wouldnt that decrease the effectiveness of the OCPs? Girls HELP!!!!!!!!! The good thing is that we are slowly getting to our journey!

JennLB25 - Congrats on starting your Lupron! It won't be long now....

espinozal23 - That's great that you already have your ER scheduled!

I just got back from the RE. On Sunday morning the male RE said I'd stim for 2 more days and most likely have ER on Thursday. Well today I went in and I saw the female RE and it looks like they want me to take Follistom for atleast one more night...maybe two...which would put my ER on Friday or Saturday. I go back again tomorrow morning. My right and left ovaries are out of sync which apparently is pretty common. On the right I have a bunch of follicles that are around 16mm and on the left I have some big ones around 21mm.....the big ones will get sacrificed however so some smaller ones can grow. A Saturday ER actually works better for us so I'm hoping that's the day! Its funny how things can change overnight.

Talk to you all soon!

BarbD
Sorry to hear that AF is playing tricks on you. Who would have thought that we would be wishing for AF to arrive! :)

You are allowed to have an occasional meltdown! We all need it from time to time, just cry and cry and get it all out.

We are here for you, vent away any time.

espinozal23
Congrats on all the follies!! Baby dust to you on your upcoming ER and ET!! Yay, first in the TWW!! We will all be here for you.

Lady_J
Good Morning Ladies... Well I am back at work. I am so exhausted. Still no AF and no signs of AF.
Hope you get AF soon. Like I said to BarbD, who would have thought we would all be wishing for AF to arrive. :)

I know the feeling about being back to work and being exhausted. The emotional roller coaster that we are on sure doesn’t help the work day.

CT_Michele
We are praying for no snags for you and pray that you get to start stimming as scheduled around the 20th!!! AF please come SOON for this young lady!!!!

prayin4BFP
Don’t know about ovulation and BCP’s because my cycle didn’t include BCP’s. But, just wanted to say good luck on your cycle.

mandeekins
Thanks for the positive energy towards cyst shrinkage! As for the shots, I don’t like them either. But RE made me stand up at my last appointment and she shot me in the belly just so I could see how the Lupron shots would feel. My RE only allows shots of Lupron and Follistim to go in the belly. I didn’t even feel it!!!!

Sorry about the welt underneath shot site. So far, I don’t even have a bruise. But, I did only take my first shot last night. :)

Good luck with your cycle!!! BFP vibes coming your way!!

TKat
Congrats on the follies!! I pray you get a BFP on this cycle.

Well, I had my first Lupron shot in the belly last night. It wasn't that big of a deal. I did burn for a minute or so after the shot but this morning I don't see any signs of a bruise yet. I don't know how quick you bruise with these things, but no signs yet. Yippee!

Well, I need to get back to work. Hope you all have a great day!

Good Morning Ladies!!! Here I am again checking in on your progress.

Sisi1... Hi girl... good luck on Monday. I am just here waiting and waiting for my AF so I can start BCPs. I have my RE appt on Friday, I just hope no bad news and it is ok to start new cycle. How r u feeling lately with the Lupron?

TKat... You r doing great and the day is almost here. SOunds like u have alot of great follies to work with. Well if ER works better for you on Saturday then I hope u get to do it on Saturday. Either way, good luck.

Roasrio... Sorry to hear about the UTI u have. Well, as far as antibio..., it may be better to have it fixed now than later, I would think. I dont know how it would affect OCPs.. by the way, I am confused. WHat r OCPs, I thought u were on BCPs... are they different? Sorry.

espinozal23... How exciting for you as well. Good Luck. SO u have a daughter already.. natural or thru IVF? I do too, I had her thru natural conception. As for stims... I took Lupron last time, and I was having alot of breast tenderness, I would assume Bravelle would be the same. Keep us updated.

kcraven... As for my AF, nothing yet :( and its driving me nutz already. I want to begin my cycle already. I know its coming any minute now, cuz I am having cramps already since yesterday so now I just wait for her to show her face. Glad u started BCPs already. Good Luck.

mandeekins... I would check with my RE about the shot, just to make sure u didnt hit a vein and not its clitted. That is why I am sacred to inject my belly... I am going to stick to my thighs. I am just a scaredy cat

Jennlb25... Congrats on starting your first cycle. Yipee.. the fun has just begun. I'm sorry about the cyst... hopefully it goes away and doesnt interfere. Good Luck, keep us posted.

prayin4BFP... I always have weird pains all over my body so I never really noticed anything different while on meds. With BCPs, I beleive u could ovulate.. its the Lupron that should stop u from ovulating... ladies correct me if I am wrong. If the pains get worse, check with your RE.

Well, let me get back to work and get some work done. I'll check in later.

Lady J

I have a daughter that is nine yrs old and I had her the old fashion way and decided that I didnt want anymore children until I divorced and remarried my current husband which is mexican and he wants a house full he already has a daughter too that will be nine next month from a previous relationship we will just be grateful for one if we get lucky to be able to get more then that will be great

I have also been having alot of cramping in the lower stomach called the RE today and he said that its from my ovaries being large and full as of yesterday the follicles were ranging ffrom 11mm to 13mm I am guessing that is a good thing he said to go home and to rest no lifting pulling or tugging

Anyone that has taking bravelle that has had these symptons please share

That's right espinozal23... you did tell us that in your early post. Sorry, it is sometimes hard to keep up with posts. I recall now.

As for the pains... I do remember feeling so bloated, sore, in my lower belly when on stims. I couldnt were my jeans zipped up anymore. I honestly felt pg and swollen. But the RE is so right... no heavy lifting, pulling, jumping especially. From what the RE had told me thru my firstg cycle... our ovaries naturally are about the size of limes of that, by the time we are thru with stims (where u r at now), that are about the size of grapefruits. So, that is why we feel so uncomfortable.

So are any of you ladies going to eat Pineapple? I am going to try it this time. I heard so many things, and that the innercore of the pineapple has some sort of ingredient that is good for implantation. Basically it is a Myth, but people swear to it. I didnt try it last time, but this time I will try it... I guess it wont hurt to try. Anyway, I like fresh pinapple... even the center believe it or not.

HMMMM.....I've never heard this but I love pineapple! I just might have to try it.

I have a quick question for you ladies, how much folic acid are you taking during your IVF cycle. Are you taking only the 400 mcg's or all 800 mcg's? I'm not sure how much I should be taking.

Well, I'm praying for a lot of BFP's in the next couple of months!!!!

JennLB25.... I am taking all 800. I was taking only what is in the prenatal... but RE told me to take an extra suplm of Folic Acid which has another 400. My husband is also taking Antioxident (not as much as he should), but it is supposed to clean his system of any lead, oxidents in his system that may slow down performance of his spermies. Hope that the combination of extra Folic Acid, AntiOxidents & Pineapple hel with the implantation of baby. I also wanted to add Fish Oil to my suppliments... what do you think about that?

Lady_J I ate the core of the pineapple with my last full cycle. Didn't help and I really didn't like it. Kind of made me gag. I don't remember what is in it but the same chemical is also in Brazil nuts. I love pineapple but don't think I will be eating the core again.

Jenn - Congrats on starting Lurpon. YEAH!!! Hoping your cyst goes away. I really don't know how much folic acid I am taking. I take my prenatal vitamin and I also take a B-complex vitamin which is also supposed to have folic acid in it. I don't think you can overdose so take as much as you want.

TKat and espinozal23 - Good luck on your ER!!! Hope you get lots of good quality eggs.

TKat - The RE's are "supposed" to know what they are doing so have faith that stimming longer will be better. Sounds like you have some good follies going.

Rosario - I have starting counting down my pills also. Started a new pack yesterday so 20 more pills to go. 19 after today. YEAH!!!! I know you have been waiting for so long you are probably going out of your mind by now. Glad to hear you have your insurance all taken care of.

kcraven - Congrats on starting antibiotics and BCP's . Hope all the tests go well.

prayin4BFP - I have so many weird aches, pains and cramps. I don't know if it is the drugs or just my old body. Hope you are feeling better.

Sis1 - What's going on with you? When do you have your baseline u/s and b/w.

Dys24 - How are you doing?

Nothing new with me. I got to start a new pack of pills yesterday. Should be down with them on the 25th of Jan. Then have to wait for AF and then I get to start stims. YEAH!!! Today I was dealing with the insurance. They want me to go through so much crap but I am not going to complain and just be thankful that I have insurance coverage. They want my RE to fax them a list of drugs I took for my last cycle and how much I took so they can keep track of what I have left and what I need to order. UGGHHHH that is such a pain because RE ordered my meds but I didn't fill it all because I had some left over from a previous cycle. This is going to be a pain. I don't see why my insurance really needs to know this. It isn't like they paid for my drugs last time. Oh well, just another hurdle.

Don't you just love the hoops the insurance company makes you go through. I'm dealing with my insurance company and the referral situation as we speak. Apparently, all of the sudden, our bloodwork that we got done in October needs a separate referral. The problem is that my PCP (primary care physician) says it's the responsibility of the RE and RE says it's the responsibility of the PCP to do the referral!! GRRRR. Can't it ever be an easy process???!!??? So, I really feel your pain. :x But, I also have to count my blessings that insurance covers this one IVF. I mean, I could be paying for this on my own (which would not be possible, hence the 11 year wait to do it).

Lady_J
I haven't heard of taking fish oil. I'll have to do some research on that and the pineapple thing. I really don't care how it happens, I just want all of us to see that BFP this cycle!!! :) As I am sure you do too. :D Well, again, have a great day.
