Gina - Your little bean is cute. i am so happy that your pregnancy is going smoothly.

Kas - I can understand taking a few days break from the board. Sometimes we just need to relax and try not to think about all of this stuff. Don't worry your u/s will be here before you know it and then you will be able to see your little bean(sssss).

Karen - I finally chose to stay with my current clinic but using a new RE. This RE actually did my ER and ET last time and I like him better then my other RE. I am doing the antagonist cycle. So taking BCP's till Jan 25th, waiting for AF and then go for baseline u/s and b/w. Keeping every body part crossed that then I will be suppressed enough to start stims. I will then be taking Follistim and Menopure, Ganirelix will be added in later on.

Ny4thtry - 3 to 5 shots a day. no fun. When you have your little baby in your arms it will all be worth it.

Wonderance - glad you had a fun trip to Orlando. I have never been to Florida. One of these days I might get there.

Good evening ladies,

wonderce Thanks for the story about your err, bathroom issues, its good to know i am not the only one!!! I am also taking a colace a day, and i have eaten a lot of peanut butter as i love the stuff but it usually gives me diahhorea (sp????) if i eat too much so during pregnancy and esp while this PIO is blocking me up, it might be my new best friend!!

rosario Thats so great that you get this cycle paid for as i remember last time it was all out of pocket for you and i know it gets rough, so i'm so pleased for you :)

Karen I'm glad things are going so well. I am still concerned about my brown sludge, but you seem to be ok with yours.... You said it may have been a haematoma? Is that like a resolving blood clot? I just wonder as i have had brown spotting/sludge on and off (2 days its there each time i go to the bathroom and /or wipe, then nothing for 4 or 5 days , then its back etc....) My heart just stops when i go to the bathroom and its there again!!! any advice?? My RE just says to drink plenty and rest.

Gina I love your photo, you can really see your little bean in there!!! That must be so exciting... How many times have you seen him/her now and when is the next one????

To Have Fun I know you are right, it will soon be time for that u/s (10 days, but who's counting  ) DH says we need a headcount! I'm just hoping that after all this bleeding there is at least one holding on tight :)

Sad news

Post by wickedwheel »

Hi everyone

First up hope 2009 brings you all wonderful things.

I have some sad news (for those that remember me), I got a BFP in November. Saw the heartbeat at 8weeks and all appeared good however I started spotting brown on new years eve until 4 january then very heavy bleeding and we lost our baby that night. I was 11w5d.

We are incredibly sad right now. But we will make it through. We are taking some time out to enjoy our little girl and plan to have another go at IVF later in the year.

Take care everyone and be good to yourselves.

Wicked

wickedwheel - I am so sorry for you loss - I am sending you a big hug!!!

gina1234 - that is so neat to see your pix, thanks for sharing with us.

Chris - how are you doing? are you getting excited about the next cycle?

KAS - how are you feeling?

Sorry I didnt address everyone, I just got into work and have been so busy. I went and had my ultrasound this morning and saw the little beans heartbeat, it was the neatest thing ever. We have been blessed with one little bean, grow little one grow. They measured the baby and the baby is measuring at 6w2d which makes me due on August 31. It still doesnt seem real to me.

foreverlove - Congrats on seeing your little bean. Glad you got to see the heartbeat. As for me, I am sort of getting excited. It is hard to get my hopes up since I have had so many canceled cycles. Plus, they lowered my meds so now I am afraid that I won't respond. It is just my luck. I guess I should just hit myself in the head and tell myself not to worry and take things as they come.

foreverlove congrats on the healthy little bean!! thats so exciting... I hope i also get such good news at my u/s. I know it will make it 'real' for me as well!!! I am not really having any symptoms (except the spotting!!!), how about you????

Chris I know this might sound crazy but dont worry about not having as many meds..... Thats what happened to me this cycle and i responded so much better. Last time i was on 300iu then 450 iu follistim and 4 then 6 then 8 vials menopur daily. This cycle i just did 8 vials menopur daily. Thats it, nothing else and i kept thinking 'last time i took so much more and struggled to get 4 eggs, how will i ever get any taking so much less' and yet i did. My RE explained on certain meds, less can be more and i was skeptical at the time, but i got over double the number of eggs on a lower dose, so he was right...... i hope this strategy works well for you as well :D

KAS - I have no symptoms at all - just some burping (not belching) for about an hour after I eat but the doctor said that is normal due to extra gas in your stomach - luckily it is coming out that end instead of the other. I was so scared going in this morning since I dont have any symptoms, but she said everything looked great, strong heartbeat and position is perfect. The worst part is they already released me to my OB/GYN (luckily he is part of the IVF group I went to) so I dont go back to the doctor until my 12 week appointment.

Ladies, i have some very exciting news!!!!

I phoned my RE today as i was concerned that i have been brown spotting for the last 5 or 6 days and its not getting any better, and my ultrasound was another 10 days away still.

So my RE tells me to come right in, and we will take a look anyway....

So we see 4 sacs!!!!! SO it seems all 4 took..... Now 3 of the beans look very clear and i could see thier little hearts flutterin away - they are measuring 6 w 1 day, 6 w 2 day and 6 w 3 day and their HR were 116, 120 & 123. The RE said all looked great, but the 4th one there was no heartbeat and the sac looked kind of 'fuzzy' and not very clear. The RE thinks this is not going anywhere and may already be resolving.

He says my bleeding may be caused by this, or just the fact that i had 4 beans all growing away stretching away... my nurse commented i looked big (i am a small person and have a small frame) and when i explained that yes, i am still a little bloated and have been since ET she laughed and said girl, thats not bloat thats babies!!!!

So anyway i have some u/s pics of my 3 healthy babies and one unlikely baby and i go back in 2 weeks for more of the same :D

I feel so much more reassured. I have still been told to rest up as much as possible and drink water.....

The RE mentioned other stuff (my due date will be Mid July!!! he will refer me to a high risk peri and he thinks i will need a stitch in my cervix after 10 weeks - i dont know why) but for now i am enjoying the moment!!

Hey guys...been feeling sick, so have not been posting, just reading...

Kas, I saw your post. 4? I knew it. I have to say, for you sake, I am glad that the 4th is resolving, 4 would have been very risky and I would be worried you would lose them prematurely. With three, your chances are so much better.

You will need to take it easy though. My due date is August 18th, so I am not sure why are you are behind me unless the assume with triplets you will deliver a month early?

Also the stitch is to keep your cervix closed, with three babies there is a greater chance it won't hold and will rupture and open. The stitch keeps that from happening until its the right time!

CONGRATULATIONS! Are you excited about 3????

HOLY MOLY!!!!!!!!!

KAS!!! you've got four in there! wow, you go girl! that is absolutely amazing! i wonder what the chances are of that happening. Sounds like your body is protecting you in possibly resolving the fourth... especially having such a small frame.

I haven't been posting much but have been checking in every few days and following along with all you ladies... i'm living this journey vicariously with you at this point.

may god bless all of you in this new year and i pray that you get all the babies and other blessings you want this year!

much love and peace,

Lynnie Sorry you havent been feeling too good, but glad you,ve been reading....sometimes i do that too.

I am excited but a bit scared about three. I always wanted twins, but never really thought about more than that, and never thought all would implant!!!! I guess you never know. I think its a shame i wont get the chance to have a natural birth (trips are always cesareans from what i hear) but as long as we are all ok and all are healthy it doesnt really matter... I guess my concern is i am a very small person 5'2" (at a push!) and have a small frame, so i guess the stitch part makes sense.....

I am also kind of pleased about the 4th resolving (although i do feel mean saying it) as i think it wil give the others (and me) more of a chance..

My due date on my u/s printout is 29th Aug, but the RE said it will actually be Mid July as its triplets.

So now i have some visual confirmation i feel confident about telling my mom (no one else for now) but i wont mention how many as she will only worry - i will leave that bit of info for a while!!
