Big skiles,Good news and lots of it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Post by Tracey S »

Hi all
I am back from my 16.6 wk scan and at last I have survived a major hurdle in once piece except was sick all down the corridor and my lovely cardigan from M&S per uno - what the hell I say!!!!!!!!!!
Both the twins are absolutely fine and full of beans - jumping all over the place - they are only 1mm apart in size and are measuring 17.2 so a few days over again which they are thrilled about. They checked as much as they could as a) last time Oliver had problems by this stage which we did not know about until 20 weeks and he had died and b) they wanted to check so the 20 wk was not such a trauma.
All arms and legs present and fingers and toes - one is very good at sucking its toes!!!!!!!!!!!! Eat your heart out footballers wives! the other was doing some neat back flips so this accoutns for all the fizzing!!!!!!!!!
The heart chambers are fine - 4 in each though they need to check in more detail at 20 weeks for flow etc. Bladders are fine, amniotic fluid plenty of it (all the red wine I had!),spines perfect and nuchal (again) are fine - no spina bifida etc. LEgs and arms are measuring 17+ weeks which is great so all good news - just left with major bits like blood flow etc and kidneys.
SEX?????????????????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
She spotted one straight away and then had a nightmare with twin two who by this stage new it was on camera so decided to do a few extra rolly poleys and some looking up into my tonsils and the camera -
TWIN ONE on the left is def a GIRL
TWIN TWO - she is pretty positive is a girl too but will be confirmed.
SO you lot get knitting - but not too much in pink - I am not a girly girl - blue is fine too - actually lilac!!!!
That's my news. I do so appreciate all your wishes, support and sentiment and think you are all the most wonderful friends in the world
Love
Tracey

Great news Tracey!

It sounds like you have two little superstars in there. As someone who wasn't that keen on the idea of having two girls (I thought that they'd be too like me and we'd have horrible personality clashes), I can throughly recommend girls now that I have one. Daniel's great and the most fantastic little boy I could ever have. But Charlotte is Mini-Me and we get on amazingly, even sharing the same sense of humour (should I be admitting that I share a sense of humour with a nearly 2 year old?!).

Love to you and your girls (or your girl and boy if the other baby proves to have 'bits' at your next scan).

Love Jules
TTC 5 years. Daniel & Charlotte born 22.03.02, 1st ICSI treatment. TTC for 4 further years. 2nd ICSI cycle abandoned, 3rd cycle BFN. Looking forward to being a happy family of 4.

Brilliant news Tracey
Its great to see them and amazing how much they can tell you about the babies and all their bits and pieces. Seeing them all active and bobbing about is lovely.

Do you still go for a scan at 20 weeks or not? Have you decided to tell dh children yet?

Take care
Love to all 4 of you

Hi everyone

Thanks for all the wishes - I was so excited could not type - Skiles??????/ Not sure quite what those are!
Jules - mini you hey - can you imagine two mini me! Best not to!
Traci - hope it was a large drink
Lisa - yes still have 20 week anomoly - it is just that the twins were so large and could see so much they decided to test as much as possible so we did not flap so much at the 20! They still have to check kidneys and heart flow but not so big. IT is April fools day and will reconfirm the sexes - if they behave.
Bathroom - what is that - we have 2 luckily - well one ensuite
HAve told DH's girls - they are so excited they can't believe it - won't leave me alone!
This will make you all laugh - DH's ex does not ever turn her batteries on in her brain and is the laziest person you will ever come across. RAchel the oldest ran from the car last night - she is 9! and went in going "Mummy Mummy Tracey is having twins!" The reply was "which Tracey?" Durr - "Daddy's Tracey silly" -She replied "TWins TWins - when?" RAchel replied "August" to which silly moo said "this August" No you daft bint next august- I have a gestation period of 18 months not 9 like most people!
She then just stood open mouthed at my DH going "twins in a vacant way with her vacanct blinky eyes - "do they run in the family she went"
Honestly.
Love to all of you
