Hello ladies I have been reading up on you all post I currently post on the Dec/ Jan boards so Kind of like the last two on there so just wanted to join you all too in my last process of this IVF cycle.
My history a little bit isme and Dh have been trying to conceive since 2005. Last year I found out that i had a hydrosalpinx (fluid in my tube) in my right tube and had it removed so my Re said that my best chance of having a baby is IVF so my insurance does cover 3 cycles thank you Lord! So we did I first Ivf cycle in July and 8 eggs were retrieved and all 8 fertilized with ICSI and Assisted hatching on the day of egg retrieval my husband had a bad day so his count was low but he usually have a great sprm count. We did recieve a bfp that cycle but we miscarried at 14 weeks baby heartbeat stopped it was very devasting but we wended up having a D&C in Sept.
I am currentlt Starting my next cyle I should know if I am pregnant by the end of the month.I was trying to figure out if I was going to transferr back 2 or 3 myself but my Re said its up to the quality of the embyro because she kind of do not want to do more than two either. I started Stimming on JAnuary 5th.
Chang Ob and did a little testing and yesterday found out that i might have lupus but now she needs to test to see if the lupus is active and if it is active and i conceive through this IVF it may be al ittle difficult to carry to term I tell you its hard but it always seem like its something but I am putting my faith in God I know he is the one that fight my battles I am going to think positive and stay postive and deal with carry my baby or babies to term and delivering healthy Kid of kids becaue he will never put to much on me that I cannot bare.
Sorry I had a lot to vent but I have bben down a tough road so far but its about to get better.

I would like to say to you all stay positve and we all will start receiving our bfp and keep the faith
Babydst to all!

Good Morning Ladies.... I see we have a new pioneer in the group :D Welcome KB(Brown01)... It is never to late to join, most of us havent even started yet :( .. but soon enough we will be there. It's looks as if u r almost half way there. I wish you lots of luck and hopefully we can guide u thru this journey with as much as we can. Good luck!!

tKat & Espinoza... tomorrow is your day ladies. I want to wish you the best of luck. I really hope they retreive alot of great Grade A eggies out of you and I wish for you that they fertilize into beautiful cacoons that will stick to there branch and pretty soon blossom into beautiful butterflies. I wish you so much luck tomorrow and I send lots of sticky baby dust to you.

Molly23... as for the ins covering cycle... congrats hun. Now u can enjoy the craziness of IVF. As for the embies, I am trying to figure it out myself. When I went to my first RE appt., he said they follow age standards. At my age, they only put 2... but they will put 3 depending the circumstances. That is one of the things I will be discussing with my RE tomorrow.

dys24... It sounds great... So basically u will trigger and let your ovaries ovulate and basically do the BD to see if u get PG? Well, if you trigger Sat or Sun, then you will ovulate about 36 hrs later, so u better get busy girl. I wish u lots of luck, I hope this works out for you. Keep us posted. Make sure u prop yourself over a pillow for at least 30 minutes after each BD.

JennLB25... Thanks... as for AF. Nothing yet :( I guess I am adding stress to myself waiting for it. I will let the RE dr know tomorrow. He may laugh cuz that is what happened last time. As for the embies... I am going to beg my RE.. and if he doesnt then I guess I will just pout my face. ANd they did say chances of them splitting is good if they do assisted hatching. They did assisted hatching on my last cycle, but it may have did more bad than good. My grandfather is also a twin on my moms side and my grandmother has twins sisters on my dad's side. SO my mom tells me when I tell her that they r putting 2... she says yeah 2 will turn out to 4. I hope so.

Well, let me get some work done. Ill be back to check later.

Thank you all for the warm welcomes. :) I do have a couple questions:

First, it seems like most of you are having transfers 3 days after your ER. My RE is waiting 5 days. We are doing icsi, so that might be why? Any insight would be helpful.

Lastly, I am curious to find out if you are taking prenatal vitamins during IVF? I currently am taking just folic acid (800mg). Do I need to be taking more?

Tkat and Espinozal23 - good luck tomorrow, I am jealous and excited for the both of you!!

I appreciate everyone's good luck wishes for tomorrow! Your support means so much to me and DH! I can't imagine not having this outlet for us to share experiences, feelings, knowledge, etc... I'm grateful to have met you all!

espinozal23 - Sorry you are feeling some pain! I am in the same boat. I took my trigger shot at 10pm too and have been feeling stomach pains most of the night and this morning. I remember feeling this way last time I went through this too. I had an ultrasound this morning and my ovaries are soo huge...they are even touching!! They put the "wand" in there and it shows my uterus and both ovaries on the same screen without moving it around.

I'm concerned because I had OHSS pretty bad last cycle and to try to reduce it they only had me do one shot of Ovidrel rather than to. Last night I had to do 2 and I have even more follicles this cycle. So I'm already trying to drink as much Gatorade as I can.

Good luck tomorrow! I hope everything goes well for you.

Lady_J - To answer your question... if we do a 3 day transfer then we will put 3 back. Last time on day 3 we put back 3 Grade A, 8 cell embies. I talked to my RE about still putting 3 back on a 5 day transfer and she said she can be convinced of it because we had a failed cycle already. Its kind of up in the air but that's our plan. DH and I go back and forth on the 5 day plan. We shall see!!

Have a good day everyone! Its almost time for food.

London... welcome to the board. First of all I am so so sorry for your mc. AT 14 weeks, it must have been real hard for you and DH. Hopefully your remaining eggs will be good to transfer and u get your BFP and be able to carry to full term and also have a beautiful butterfly. I am also sorry that u r going thru such a rough time and now with the Lupus... and you are right. God will do what he feels right for you. I hope it goes well for you, keep us posted.

espinoza.... One more day hun. I remember feeling sore after Trigger. I honestly worried that I would ovulate before hand, but my RE said not to worry, it was the follies preparing to be released. So I guess the pain is natural. Good Luck tomorrow.

Tkat and espinozal- good luck tomorrow, we are all excited for you and can't wait to hear your updates!

KB- i think 3 day vs 5 day is a clinic choice. I was also icsi and had a 3 day transfer. We went in on 3 day and had 4 perfect 8 celled embies. He said if we had a larger number, or worse quality, then we may have waited until day 5 to see if there were any 'standouts.' So I think it depends on a lot of factors. With us, there was no reason to wait the extra time. I also think that my clinic had me start taking prenatals as soon as i went there, but I don;t remember.

Dys- So after you trigger, do they give you a certain time frame in which to "try" or do they tell you to do it often and frequently? It sounds like you will be busy early next week..hehe Good luck, we are all routing for you!

London- Welcome to our thread. I know what it is like to be lonely on a thread. When I was pregnant I was due Sept 1, so i joined august bump buddies and they all delivered before me, I was left lonely for a while, so glad you joined over here, the more the merrier!

I hope everyone is having a good thursday, the weekend is almost here, yay!

Ya know, I don;t think I ever shared my website with you guys here. If you would like to see my precious bundle of joy, she has her own picture website. It is: ellamichele.shutterfly.com (type it just like that, no www in the front). I keep it pretty up to date for long distance relatives. Enjoy!

Brown01 - My clinic determines what day to transfer on how many embies you get. If there are lots to choose from they will do a 5 dt if there aren't a lot there will be a 3dt. i have heard that some clinics only do 3dt while other clinics will only do 5dt. It all depends on where you go. I have been on prenatal vitamins forever. Since before even TTC. I just mentioned to my OB that I was thinking about going off the pill and she handed me a script for prenatals. Sometimes I am not the best at taking them but tell ya what, they must be pretty good because other then a small cold here or there, i haven't been sick in the past 4 years.

dys - Have fund Bd'ing. Keeping my fingers crossed for you.

London - Welcome to the thread. Sorry for your loss, I know that must be devistating. I have always said I rather have a BFN then a m/c. Well, at least you know you can get PG so that is a start in the right direction. Good luck and keep us posted.

Tkat - I can't believe they aren't thinking about your OHSS. Did you ask them if you could do less of a trigger again? keep drinking that gatorade and eating protein. Are your E2 levels as high as they were last time?

Jenn - We are going to have to kick your RE somewhere, where he doesn't like, Well I guess if it is a he. I can't believe they won't put back more then 2 after you have been TTC for 11 years and this is your only chance. UUGGHHHHHH Good luck, it only take one embie to stick so honey your 2 great embies will bring you a BFP!!!!

Well, I sort of have a schedule. I should have ER between the 7th and 14th of Feb. That would put Beta the 1st week in March. I am still doing the hurdles to get insurance approval and meds.
Hope everyone has a good day.

dys... BD BD BD till u get your BFP!!! It's ok, I wont tell no one. As for the pillow thing, well, it is supposed to help sperms make there way down there (it's a gravity thing).. cuz it is not good at all if you stand up right after because it will all just fall right back out. Sorry if TMI, but that is how I was told. That is what I did thru my entire fertile time this month so now I am wondering... since I am officially 1-2 days late on getting AF, could it be that it worked??? Oh how I pray to God that it is, but then again... it never works for me. Lots of babdy dust to you dys.

brown... on my first cycle I was told I would be doing a 5dt. But since I only ended up with 4 eggs and only 2 fertilized they didn't want to risk those 2 so they did a 3 day transfer instead. A 5 day is good if u have lot of embies and at that point they are at the blast stage which some say are better at implanting... but they don't alway make it to 5 days so it is risky. As for Prental, I am taking prenatal, actually I have been taking prenatl since last year. Just recently my RE told me to take the prenatal plus an extra supplm of just Folic Acid. Prental is good to take cuz it has so many vitamins for everything, zinc is good for your reproductive organs. And my DH is taking Anitoxidents... he has good sperm, but the Antioxidents remove any bad oxidents he has in system and help with better production of sperm. Hope this helps.
