Ok, I figured I would give this a shot, a thread here not about ivf. I have seen it done in the past and sometimes it's just nice to talk about something else...

So the Bachelor is starting on ABC tomorrow night and I love that show. I thought it might be fun to start a thread and talk about the show. Maybe i am more interested this time around because he has a kid and I was really routing for Jason (I think that was his name) last time. His little boy Ty was so cute!

So any other fans out there? Let's make it a fun bachelor season!

Hey CT!
I LOVE the Bachelor. It's a secret guilty pleasure. And I was really upset that she didn't pick Jason last season, although honestly- I think it worked out better for him.

Let me know what you think of tonight! I'm excited to watch. This is a nice break from talking (and thinking) about IVF and pregnancy - good idea!

tiger- I am so glad you joined me! I knew there must have been some other closet bachelor fans on these boards! I was also very sad last year when she did not pick jason, even though i did like the other one too. Jason just seemed like an awesome catch, and so ready to be in love. I really hope he finds what he is looking for this season. I will post again tomorrow....

Hey girls I love bachelor too!! I will be delivering with in the next 3 weeks and I am so glad that I have a season pass to record it. I know when the babies get here I won't have time to watch at first. Jason is awesome and I hope he is happy finally.

Well ladies. . . My vote is for Melissa! Although I am worried he may end right back up with Deanna????? Dh and I watched last night and laughed at how that is what we do now since the babies keep us home. At least they go to bed at 7pm!

Kholtan- you might be right. The buz on the internet and bachelor message boards is that abc gave it away during the upcoming scenes that aired at the end, but i really don;t think they would do that. Glad your dh can enjoy it with you. Dh complained all day yesterday about me watching it, but even though he acts uninterested, he makes some comments during the show that makes me think he is just afraid to admit he likes it.

I was suprised that deanna popped up. i knew she made a mistake last season. I still like her and think they would make a good couple, but i don;t think it is fair what she did to him, let him propose, say no, and now go back begging? I don;t think he will take her back.

I was suprised by some of the people he kept and some he let go. I liked the girl that got the first impression rose (nikki?), I think they had a good connection. I like the widower, but don;t think they look like a good match, something weird about her. i think the dental hygentist was weird and stalkerish, and the teacher who quit her job was a little weird too, but seemed down to earth.

There is one girl from CT, Erica who was in a skimpy gold dress. I always hope I will like the hometown girls so I can "route" for them, but I didn;t like her. She got a rose last night. I don;t think she represents us CT girls well! A little too trashy for my taste!

There was one girl who got sent home that i think would have been a really good match for him, Stacia. She was a single mom and a charity accountant, I think they would have gotten along if they got to know each other better, both seem like genuine people.

Well, one thing is for sure, it should be an interesting season, and i am so glad you girls decided to join me. Let me know what all of you thought...

oh, one more thing I forgot to say...

Why are guys always attracted to the exotic south american women who they will most likely have nothing in common with? Don;t get me wrong, I think Raquel is gorgeous, but I just don;t see them lasting as a couple.

Ha I was looking for a forum like this and found one on my IVF forum! YAHOO!! I am a big fan of the show and have seen every episode since Dianna first appeared with Brad...anyway, I don't think he will get back together with her...they wouldn't have had all that footage at the end of the show with all the other girls...besides how can you love someone forever after they dumped you on national tv on one knee? No way...

Hi ladies!
I loved Monday's episode - I'm already hooked on it. But did anyone notice the girl in the sparkly red dress that kept saying she wasn't a stalker but had background-checked him like crazy?! Wouldn't that drive you nuts?!!

I'm kind of surprised that Deanna came back - but in alot of interviews after she and Jesse broke up, people from the show and Jesse were saying that she was getting poor advice from agents and was trying to make it in Hollywood.

Is anyone else hooked on the Biggest Loser? I hate to deviate from the topic - but that's a GREAT show too. I'm way too into reality tv.

Suzanne- I am watching the biggest loser too. I am such a reality tv junkie! We can certainly talk about other shows on here too, we have to talk about something in between bachelor episodes!

I think the weights of the people on the biggest loser are getting out of control. I can't believe how big that 19 year old is. I think one day someone is going to get seriously hurt, but I am glad these people are getting the help they need. I think it was crappy that so many teams had to send one person home last night, I think they all need the trainers help in the beginning. Obviously they came to the show b/c they couldn;t do it at home alone.

I don;t like the crazy stalker dental hygenist from the bachelor. Even if i had looked up all of that stuff about jason, I would have never said any of that to him. Who uses that as an icebreaker? No wonder she is still single, I can't believe he kept her.

I was really surprised by the Bachelor - but maybe he keeps the ones that caught his attention by being slightly crazy and then will weed them out.

My husband had a really good suggestion for the Biggest Loser - keep all of the contestants on the ranch for 30 days and then eliminate like 3 teams who have the lowest percentage of weight loss after that. That way everyone gets a chance to get healthy. Probably not the cut throat TV that they want- but it just makes me incredible sad to see how tough it is for the contestants (especially those that are really young) and how they get their hopes up, only to be sent home in 5 minutes. But it was really exciting how even after a week, people were losing 30+ pounds.

I can't wait for next Monday! Honestly - good TV keeps my mind off of being nauseous.

Suzanne- I like your husbands idea, I think they could all really benefit from 30 days on the ranch, but I am sure the show would never do it, they need the suspense. But maybe now they will all have more motivation at home.

I am sure the bachelor will weed out the crazies. I can't imagine he would propose to one of them.

I love good tv too, keeps my mind occupied. You said keeps your mind off being nauseous? I don;t know what other threads you belong to, but can I assume you may be pregnant if your tummy is nauseous?

I watch both shows...anyway, it helps keep my mind of the pregnancy and gives me something to look forward to. If only I could stay awake to watch the entire show, bless tivo.

babyhopes- yes, thank goodness for tivo, for the nights dh refuses to watch the bachelor!

So last night Jason was on Jimmy Kimmel live, so I tivoed it and just watched it. Of course he says he is in love and will get married and jimmy kimmel pointed out to him that every bachelor has said that and not one has actually gotten married.

Kimmel also pointed out how much Jason says the word amazing. I never noticed that before, now I will have to watch for it.

And of course he asked him about DeAnna. Kimmel says to him, "so deanna returns this season, I guess she broke up with the guy she chose over you and now she wants you back." Jason interrupts him and says,
'whoa, hold on a sec, she does come back, and we will see what happens." To me, that sounded like the producers made it sound like she wants him back, but maybe that is not the case, either way, I don;t think he is taking her back.

I absolutely love both shows. I was so sad when jason didn't win last year. I just knew the other guy (name slipped my mind) was not the one for her. however, it does seem like noone makes it:( That is except for Trista and Ryan.

Biggest loser is one of my favorites. My parents just don't understand why anyone would be interested in a show about obese people. I am already rooting for the old couple. I love it when the older people try to make life changes.

Is anyone watching Mama's Boys?
