new here and saying my hellos

Post by aspotofTea »

Hi everyone. I'm Tea, (like the drink), which has been a nickname of mine forever, so that is what I go by.

I'm so glad to find a community filled with supportive people who understand the journey of IVF.

I am just starting my first IVF cycle, so I am scared silly, but ready to face the challenges.

Making it more difficult is that I have two sister in laws. One of them is four months pregnant. The other one just told me her period is 16 days late. It's so difficult, I'm very happy but at the same time, it's so bittersweet.

Anyhow, once again, hi, and I look forward to making friends here.

Welcome, I'm new here myself. Just went through my first IVF cycle with a BFN. I am going for FET on Sunday morning.

I know how you feel. Neither of my sil or sister had any problems getting pregnant and I always wonder why me?

Good luck on your journey and ask lots of questions not only with your RE but here. I have learned so much just reading posts.

Hi Tea:

I'm new here as well.

If it makes you feel any better, and I hope it does, my two younger sisters are both pregnant. In fact one is having her baby shower this weekend, as she's due in Feb.

I won't be going...

I will be starting my first IVF cycle in Feb.

Thank you all for the warm welcome.

Scout, I think I too will be starting my first IVF cycle in Feb. I'm scared, and just from reading the posts on here I know that there are so many strong women who I can learn from. If you need a newbie buddy, I'm here for you!

Hi Tea,

I wanted to welcome you to the site. I'm new here too and I also completely understand the sister-in-law difficulties. Both of the mine are also pregnant along with my best friend and I'm actually hosting the baby shower for one! I try and stay tough about it, but it gets to me sometimes. I just try and remind myself that someday it will be my turn.

Best of luck with your upcoming IVF cycle!

IVF in FEb.

Hi Tea:

I would love to continue to correspond with you.

I saw my new doctor yesterday, and I'll actually be doing something called the "Clomid Challenge" before IVF, so the entire process will take about two months.

I was already on Clomid, but this is something that measures levels beforehand.

It's kind of hard to explain.

Here's a link: http://www.ivf1.com/Clomid-Challenge-Test/

If it's easier, my e-mail address is jenniferckirby@comcast.net

All the best!

Hi and my support is offered also. Try to surround yourself with those that make you feel good and don't harp on you about things that you may not want to hear. I know it can be easier said than done but sometimes people just don't know when not to talk. I have 2 wonderful boys and have been through miscarriage, losses and ectopics. This is my first cycle and completely can relate to your feelings. When they ask you why they haven't seen you tell them because you really need to hear from positive, non-pregnant, interesting people right now. It can be so hard, hang in there--I'm glad you found this forum. :)

kiaora from new zealand! haha its my first cycle too, i had four children previously when i was young and my eggs werent green lol. i have remarried and although he has children also, we would like one together and cant because of medical misadventure. sooooo i understand your fears and yup it always seems like everyones pregnant around you !! and what doesnt help is that they all say dumb ass things !! lol for us its the comment that we already have kids blah blah how unhelpful, we love them and we are grateful but like any new couple we would like a chance to have one of our own !! all the best, chick!!
