Faith ~ I am curious as to what general area you live in CA? I grew up in Tulare and just moved to AZ from Visalia. I wasn't technically a farm girl, but farm land was all around me. I miss it there - smaller town. Now I live outside of Phoenix and it is crazy here. I am a small town girl. So when you get busy with your FET will you keep it a secret also???

Laura ~ How you doing lady? Ditto on how is the house coming along? I would love to have some land.

Barbarella ~ What happened to you? We want to know how the PG is going.

I got a letter from my RE. They need us to decide what to do with the embies we have frozen and we are supposed to send paperwork back with our decision. I am not sure but I think we have 3 good and I don't know how many fair to good and 1 fair embie left. I told my DH to call them tomorrow and find out the deets on them. When DH and I talked about it we both agreed, Addy came from one of my frozen embies, how can we just let them go or donate them??? They are potentially our babies.

Donni we have some great family friends that live in Visalia! They moved there a few years ago, it's about 3 hours from where we live. You ever heard of Jackson? Well we live about 15 miles in the mountains above it. It's all farmlands. Not stinky cow farmlands thank goodness! lol. My father in law and his wife just moved to Phoenix a few months ago. They love it because of the good weather. Oh when I have another FET, you'll know, I need someone to complain too I agree what you and DH decided with your embies, maybe you'll use them in the future??

Thinking of you too Barbarella! How's that lil' boy of yours doing? Dylan right?

Oh Beth, Congratulations!!!!!!! I'm so excited for you! You must be so thrilled- I hope all went well with the ultrasound and I hope you are feeling good.

Donni- Love all your Addy pictures- she is so precious! I think I took and still take about a million pics of my ds- they are such blessings- how can we help it??!! I would totally agree with you about keeping your embies. I always knew we'd use the 3 we had for sure cuz if one had taken, it would have been my son's twin born years later- kinda weird but cool. But guess in my case, it wasn't meant to be.

Faith- Sounds like you enjoy living on your ranch and it sounds like you live in a beautiful place. I for sure stayed on these boards when I did my FETs cuz it's so nice to have the support- I just kept it a secret from most of our family instead.

Barbarella- Hope all is going well and that you are feeling good. When are you due again?

As for us, the closing on our house went well. We are going to get slowly moved in and maybe won't be fully in there till February. Now we have to think about selling our current house- no fun! But I just love where we are moving and love the land- we also back to about 300 acres of conservation land that we can use too so that's great.

Hi Everyone!

How are we doing?

I am doing just fine, I have been sleeping a lot, A LOT!
I had another ultrasound today and got to measure babies' heart rates.
pretty cool stuff.

I am still freaking out about it all, HOW am I going to do this with two babies and a 2 year old???

But then I get excited, and I figure it will all work out. somehow!

Laura, good to hear from you. Glad your closing went well. That will be so nice to live on so much land. Good luck selling your house!

Faith, what are you up to? Your home sounds beautiful. We live on a quarter acre and have neighbors practically up our behinds when we are outside...no privacy. so I envy you.

Donni, keep pics coming! How is Addison doing? Is she sleeping thru the night yet? I was lucky, my DD learned to sleep thru the night at 3 months!

Anyone have any plans for new years? I will probably be sleeping, no big surprise.

BETH!!!! I am so happy for you. I can only imagine how sleepy you are. I need details though. What are the babies hearbeats, when you go to the doctor next, did you do PGD and do you know what they are? You know....that sort of thing.

They are the right size for where I am in the pregnancy.

We did not to PGD testing (Is that the genetic testing?).
Right now I don't know what they are, but I will find out!

Did you have to have an amnio with Addison?
That scares me a lot.
I had one with my DD, and it worked out fine, but there is more of a risk doing an amnio with twins.

I am done with my RE, they officially released me today, I have to set up my appt with OB next.

I am still sooo sleepy. My 1st trimester ends the first week of Feb.
and I am due mid-August, but apparently it will be sooner than that!

Beth the heart rates sound perfect! I'm so excited for you to have twins!!! Now I can't wait until you find out what they are. I've heard that ivf results usually are one of each...usually, but that may be a myth!

Oops almost forgot!! This is TOTALLY unrelated to ivf, but just a question, lol. Do any of you know of any good face cream? My face has been dry because of the weather I think, I can't have any perfume lotion or anything in it. Any ideas, LOL

Donni- I bet that is a hard decision about the little frozen embies. That reason alone almost kept me from even trying IVF in the first place but I found a wonderful alternative. Instead of donating them to whoever your RE feels is suitable, there are organizations that adopt out your eggs/embies just like the were children. You get to pick the couple, you get their histroy and full background checks just like a normal adoption. This way you know even though you couldn't raise the baby yourself, you hand picked the perfect family to watch over them for you. The organization will take/use ANY egg or embryo given, despite it not being top quality bc they believe each of them deserves the chance to grow. I found it very comforting knowing that was always there for me if I need that.

Well... back to my Jan/Feb/Mar board- I am off BCP tonight! Can't wait to start over.

Well Hello there everyone, Hope everyone had a fab Chrimbo & New Year!! Apologies for not being in touch. Have been tired and loads of aches and pains...the pains got so bad I ended up in hospital for 2 weeks due to Kidney stones, but I am back and feeling lots better, and Dylan is fine growing fast, my belly is getting quite big now!! I am getting so excited to see him. March 10th my due date not that far away now.

Donni - Addison - Is a babe!! How quickly she has changed.

Beth - Amazing! I had a tear reading your messages, It was so lovely to hear your news and twins too!!

Faith...hope you ok, I bet your sisters wedding was lovely!!

Laura - 5 Acres !! I cannot imagine what you have bought but it sounds massive!

Baby Baby - I had the same as you and on my next Fresh Cycle I got Dylan and I did nothing on the fresh cycle because I thought I had done everything that I was supposed to on the first two, that I sort of felt myself giving up....I even said to myself that this will be my last time...and suprise it worked...Thinking of you and Good Luck!!

Our house has its roof and windows DH doesnt think it will be ready in time but we can stay where we are for a while.
