Update on me and my wife.

Post by BIGREDIOWAN »

My wife and I went to the doctor yesterday for our first ultrasound and got great news. She is pregnant with twins! Baby A measured 6 weeks 4 days as did Baby B. Baby A's heartrate was 123 and Baby B's heartrate was 128. The doctor did say that their is a 25% chance that she could lose one of them over the next couple weeks as he has seen this is many cases. He did say though that given how they measure, their heartrates, and how everything looks he thinks there is a smaller chance of that happening with my wife.
Just so you all know her Beta numbers:
IVF transfer done Dec. 11th.
First test Dec. 22nd 681
Second test Dec. 24th 1691

So give me your professional opinions now ladies. lol :D

I'd say bust out the sparkling cider! As a mommy of twins myself I can say it's the best thing ever!!!! Having twins has kept me busy to say the least but we were destined for the dynamic duo for sure.
It sounds like your wife is doing great. Mine measured off from one another at first and had very different hb's and they are both healthy and thriving. Good luck and I'm so happy for you! Come join Double Trouble now!

My wife and I went back to the fertility doctor for our second ultrasound today. Baby A measured 8 weeks 4 days and Baby B measured 8 weeks 6 days. Baby A's heartrate was 175 and Baby B's heartrate 178. We are officially graduated or released from the fertility specialist and go for another ultrasound in a few weeks with a regular OB. I'm pretty excited! :D

Thanks, I'm trying my best to prepare myself, but I don't think me or my wife can be prepared no matter what we do. I'm going through our budget now and cutting out the fat so I'm as prepared as I can be.
