espinozal - Good luck tomorrow on your ER! Keep us posted on how you feel.

london - I'm praying for you girl! I sure hope your cycle doesn't get cancelled.

ann d. - Your betas look great! Allow yourself some smiles about this - your baby is here :D :D

tburks - Thx for the info on Ganarelix - that sounds exactly like what I need! During the long lupron protocol, I had a fair amount of follicles, but only 2 out of 10 eggs were mature enough to grow. I'm going to be watching you! Will you take BCPs first? I speak with my RE tomorrow so I will hopefully know more then. We were hoping to get a month or two of trying naturally, but due to business travel, January is out. I wonder if we want to try IVF in march, do we have to do BCP in Feb? argh.

When do you start stimming? Or have you already?

ann d. - Congrats on your 2nd beta! That is so exciting. I'm sure you can't wait for your next ultrasound and you get to see how many little babies there are!

tburks and london - I hope both your cycles go well and you get your BFP!

Hey everyone,

Just a quick update on me and my wife's baby situation. She went in for the ultrasound yesterday, obviously I was with her, and the ultrasound showed two little one's in there. Baby A measured at 6 weeks 4 days as did Baby B. Baby A's heartrate was 123 and Baby B's heartrate was 128. We are happy and excited, but trying to remain calm because last time we got so excited, but went in for the ultrasound only for her to have a miscarriage. That ultrasound didn't show anything though. Her first beta number was 681 and her second was 1691. Obviously we did these a few weeks earlier. Just wanted to give all of you an update and good luck with everything. 6 more weeks and we're hopefully in the clear.

Hi Gang,

Had my appt with RE today - I started crying in the meeting, so things didn't go as good as I had hoped. Illinois insurance generally covers 3 cycles of IVF, since I've had 2 failed cycles and have demonstrated severe diminished ovarian reserve for someone my age (34) - the clinic feels it is the appropriate time to consider donor eggs.

However, RE did say that she feels we can still get pregnant with my eggs. It is a matter of how we want to use the last cycle covered by insurance. She is hopeful that the ganirelix cycle will produce more eggs than the other two protocols. She feels we have a good shot at getting pregnant because of my young age - we just need more eggs of good quality (duh!).

I haven't discussed with DH yet and I am still taking it in. On some level, I knew this was coming - but that didn't stop the tears from coming. She doesn't want us to wait too long to try again though, so we'll probably go in Feb or March.

Sprouthaus - sorry the meeting made you feel crummy. The good news is she still thinks there is a chance for you to get pregnant. Although donor eggs isn't what any of us want to hear, it sounds like there are a lot of positives to what she said. Also, it might not hurt to get second opinions. Doesn't mean you won't go back to her, but it would make you feel better if you had a consensus among drs.

I will be thinking of you.

To all you other ladies, I am keeping up with your progress and rooting for you all. :-)

Hi everyone!

Long time haven`t been in here,I cheated on you with "ivf connections", hehe!!

Well, not sure where you all are in your cycle but I`m on lupron for about a month and started Estrace a week ago, will start PIO shots Jan` 18th,twice a day for 10 weeks, yuk!

I feel nauseted and tired...

I have a final u/s Jan` 16th and my FET is in Jan` 20th and I`m excited beyond me!

We ended up getting 4 embies donated from our clinic, they`re from a 24y.o proven egg donor.

Write back all so I know where you all stand.

Baby dust to all!

Natasha.

espinozal23 - sounds good so far. When will you do your transfer?

Sprouthaus - sorry the meeting didn't go as planned but you are still young and I would definately get a second opinion. There's nothing wrong with getting other's thoughts, one doctor might see something that your RE might of missed... There is hope and I'm praying it works out for you. I thought IL covered 4 cycles??

BIGREDIOWAN - twins is exciting. I am 7 weeks 1 day with twins right now and I can't wait. My DH and I are very excited.

Ann D - Congrats on that second beta! Great numbers!!

AFM - we went in and heard both babies heartbeats on Wednesday. They were 123 and 126. Doc said everything looked right on schedule and we were released to our regular OB. I have my first appt with him next Wed the 14th... Hope everyone is doing well!!

Sprouthaus - Sorry to hear that your RE appt didn't go exactly as planned and about the tears. I am sure I will spring a leak at my RE appt on Monday.
It sounds like your RE is hopeful and that you have options aside from the donor. Did you change up the cycle much between cycle 1 and cycle 2? It sounds like she has a new idea/protocol for cycle #3 and maybe that is just what is needed. The great news is that you can get started sooner rather than later. Your body will be ready when the time comes... you've been doing accu, yoga & meditation. Your body has everything that it needs to support a healthy pregnancy.
I know that someone else had mentioned getting a 2nd opinion. I have an appt set up for March (that was the earliest that I could get) with one of the top RE's in my area. I am not necessarily planning on changing RE's but I do feel that I need another RE to take a look at our situation.

Sorry guys, I have been gone. Hearing about other BFP's would have sent me over the edge. I don't mean to sound nasty, just dealing with the loss. I'm ok now, researching my a@# off to figure out how to proceed.

KMHTTC and sprouthaus - I am so sorry to hear, I had my fingers crossed. for you guys. Glad to atleast hear you are drinking.

I have been really chilling on sugar and alcohol becase I read that too much sugar whacks out your hormones. I'm usually ok with not having much sugar (I LOVE SUGAR AND ALCOHOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!) every now and then I get really pissed that I have to be careful.

Our plans are to take a few months off and maybe try in March. I am doing acupuncture. I am a stress case and hold my stress in my tummy, so the acp want to get me to relax So...I quit my job :D

So at least there is some good news from the BFN:
  • I got an ATV for xmas and now I can ride it - I was giggling out loud
  • I can drink if I want
  • I quit my job
  • I am 90% focused on relieving my stress and doing a great job
DH is gong to see an infertility urologist. His name is Philip Werthman at www.malereproduction.com. Our acupuncturist says that he is awesome and finds things that other urologists can't find. The acupuncturist thinks maybe we both have some type of infection which is why we got implantation and then it didn't go anywhere.

Finally, I am seriously considering writing a book on folks like us that have tried forever unsucessfully and then got a baby naturally. I thoughtI would interview them and see what if anything they did differently. I have a girll friend that did 4 IVF's, was a month away from adoption and then got pregnant on her own.

What do you guys think? If you know of someone that tried for over 4 year and got pregnant nuturally, I'd love to hear it.

Hey guys still catching up.

Ann D. - YEAH!!! Congrats. I've also had a m/c at 6 weeks. Do be excited and relish the moment.

London - the yelling thing makes me laugh. DH and I have been married for 11 years. About 5 years ago, I learned to say 'FOff' and lo a behold, our marriage got better. Mostly becuase instead of stewing on something I'd just tell him off and let it go. It really works, we are tighter than ever :) My thought are with you on the lupus.

sprouthaus & KMHTTC - I also feel that we can do this naturally. Things things that we will try is scary & hilarious. I am trying grapfruit juice and red raspberries to help thin my mucus. Also, I didn't know this, but more sex helps my hormone and his sperm. So one om my resolutions is sex every other day. Why not, we might have more fun and get a baby for FREE!!!!

NHY - so sorry to hear about the crappy AF. I totally agree that it would be really special to have a baby from both of us. My DHis my best friend and I couldn't think of something more special to share. However, we are not going to go broke on IVF. I think will try once more and then try to adopt. I am definitely curious about IVF vacations. Ther is one in Chech that is cheap.

espinozal23 - yeah on the good stimming. Congrats on the nubmer of follies!!!!!

tburks - the cost for us is roughly $9,300 for IVF, I bought unused meds for $2000 and the acupuncture was $1200. Ca

BIGREDIOWAN - congrats on a great u/s.

Sprouthaus... I'm sorry you've had an emotionally draining day. And I'm sorry you cried. It's such a natural reaction. I agree with the others and maybe you should get a 2nd opinion, but it sounds like your RE has hope for you doing this with your own eggs. That's definitely a positive. Let us know what your next move will be when you get a chance.

W4B... How are you doing? When is your next appointment with the RE? Have you been researching?

Dagnymichelle... It sounds like you're ready to get back on the IVF horse. That's great! BFNs can really kick us down and I can understand the need to stay away from the boards for awhile. I was the same way. And it sounds like you're trying good things to help you next time around. BTW- Thanks you for saying "relish the moment." You're right. I need to do that.

Natasha... How exciting that you're FET is coming up!! How many are you planning on transferring?

Espinoza... Good luck with your ET! You've got a lot of eggs so it sounds like you'll have some good embies to choose from.

Gigi...Looks like your twins are doing great!! And now you get to see your regular OB... can't believe how fast time flew! How many weeks are you now??

AFM...I had my u/s and it looks like I'm still really swollen from the ER. The RN (since my RE was out of town) had a hard time finding my uterus. She found the sac (yay!) but couldn't tell if there was another one. She seemed pretty sure there was only one. I'm 5 weeks today and my next U/S is next Friday. Maybe we'll see more by then. Fingers crossed!

Natasha - Good luck with your FET!!

Dagnymichelle - Good for you to quit your job! I think the less stressed everyone can be the better results they will have. Good Luck.

Sprouthaus - I'm glad to see your RE is still hopeful that you can get pregnant with your own eggs. I'm sure your next cycle will go better!
