That is amazing! Congratulations! How lucky are you?

Did you choose to go for more progesterone?

Hope you have a boring (unadventful) and healthy pregnancy!

You are truly blessed!

Renee:

You go girl!!!!! Congrats on your BFP!! I bet you and DH are excited. I have been using ovulation predictors this cycle. I used the clear blue easy digital ovulation predictor and got a smiley face on Wed. How does it compare to what you are using? This was a 7 day kit for $29.99 at Target. Poor DH has been under the gun to perform since last Thursday. If this month's egg is a "good egg", it does not stand a chance of remaining unfertilized  .

Sis1: Your case sounds like there should not be any problems. I got pregnant when I was 42 for the first time. I had 2 failed IUI's, 2 failed IVF's and then got pregnant naturally with my DS.

Take care all,
Tammy

GO RENEE! That is so awesome. We have two women here who got pg naturally in December! I am so excited for you all!

Sis -- The only thing that is different between you and me is your estrogen is higher. I make around 6 follies too (well at most). I think its just getting the right one. Yep, its expensive, but when it works, its all worth it.

Renee,

I did read up on the fertility monitor and can see an advantage of yours. I have also checked out the OV watch. You wear it on your wrist and it measures chloride (I believe).

Kelly: How are you?

It looks like the new year is bringing us good fortune.

Hil, again i am sorry. BIG HUGS

Another big congrats to Rhonda and Renee!!!! Give me your EDC when you know them.

Rhonda, of coarse we remember you. I just dropped you from the list because i had not heard from you in awhile. But you are back on now so please keep us updated on how your pregnancy progresses. Thanks for the encouraging update. Congrats!!

Renee, Rocco is a doll. I think he is going to grow up and look like the "Rock". NICE.... I am sorry your family is having some major issues right now but i am sure it is fairly common given the circumstances. I bet the military offers free counseling for such things. If i were you i would get into counseling somewhere ASAP.

Lynnie, what is new with your butter bean?

Hil and Tammy don't give up. You guys will be numbers 3 & 4 in the natural BFP group. If you do not know how to read your fertility signs to predict when you will ovulate and temp to confirm ovulation i suggest you sign up on fertility friend. Do the free membership that teaches you all you need to know and lets you do free online charting etc.

Sisi1, will the cysts delay your cycle? I hope not. As far as stats you are still in the 40-42 age group. Once you hit 42.5 things get a lot worse due to egg quality. I wish i had listened to my doc and did ivf a lot sooner. You still have a good shot so don't delay.

Hilary, have you been evaluated for immune and clotting abnormalities? Early recurrent losses or pregnancy failures like you are having are often related to issued other than bad eggs. I suggest a SIRM clinic for that type of evaluation. They are the leaders in evaluating and treating those issues. I would say if you have not had extensive testing that takes priority before you spend more on ivf. Schedule a free phone or in person consult with a SIRM doctor near you and see what they have to say. You can also go to their website haveababy.com and register to post on the discussion boards. You can ask the docs questions even though you are not one of their patients. Take advantage of it while trying to decide what to do. It is all free with no pressure to become a SIRM patient. Most posters are not their patients.

Kris and Mitch any new plans in the works?

NYfthtry, Natasha, dcu97, SunMoon&Stars any news?

You will see my update below. Sorry if i missed anybody. Is it normal to be bloated and uncomfortable?

Kris 41, m/c twins 1/09, regrouping, GIANT HUGS!!

MOVING ON TO PLAN B BUT NOT GIVING UP!!!!

Tammy 44, 12/08 IVF#3 BFN, going forward with adoption from China or possibly embryo adoption. But in the mean time ttc the old fashion way.

Hil, 12/08 ivf converted to iui BFN, trying naturally for the time being but may cycle again.

I am trying to only count the number of cycles for the baby you are currently working on. I know some have other children via ivf but i didn't count those tries. I want to have a clear picture of how many tries it is taking for us older gals to be succesful.

Please correct me, tell me what you want me to add....... and update when appropriate. I have dropped some ladies off the roster because they have not checked in for a long time. If i dropped you off and you want to be added just post and i will put you back on. I am just trying to make this as easy for me as possible. I know its all about me

Supersonic fast update....my progesterone is too high 18 and I am to downregg for 5 more days! Can you belive it?
Also because of the cysts I suppose.

Estrogen is fine at 185(/3.27 for american numbers=56)
LH fine at 3

How is that even possible at the age of 41 not to be downregulated enough?????

Has this happened to anyone this age range?

Sorry Sisi, i don't know enough about all of this to help you. I do know that depending on what kind of cysts they are they can potentially ruin your cycle. They will suck up all the FSH so no other follies will grow. Sorry no real help.

Kelly,

Good luck on your 5 little embies. Are you freezing all 5 and then doing a FET?

Sis1: I can't help you either. It seemed that I would have a cyst every other cycle and had to take BC pills to get rid of it before stimming.

Tammy, any embryos still alive on day 3 will be biopsied for CGH. Then any that make it to blast will be frozen and the biopsy samples from those sent for the actual CGH testing. It will take several weeks to get the CGH results. I will only do a FET if i have an normals to transfer after three retrievals/CGH banking cycles. So i have several months to go before i do a transfer. If i ever do a transfer. I am so afraid none will make it to blast. What a kick in the teeth.

Kelly,

I'm sure you will have some embies to transfer. I like the idea of finding out ahead of time if you have an abnormal embie before transfer. Many times an embie will not make it to blast if it is abnormal. I did not have the CGH testing with my IVF's. You will know in a few days how many made it to blast.

Take care,
Tammy
