Hello ladies...sorry to be MIA but it's been a busy couple of days. My dad is coming into town from Texas and my guest bedroom was completely full of my craft stuff! Needless to say, the cleaning bug has made it's way into my house.

I had my suppression check today and got to start stims tonight!!!!! It was a touch confusing mixing the meds at first, but I think I got the right amount in my arm The nurse did tell me about a good book called "The Fertility Diet" when I asked about the high protein. I've got a copy on hold at B&N right now! Anyone read it? We were also asking about our schedules and some other stuff and the nurse told us to send lots of positive energy to my ovaries! I got what she's saying, but i think my husband almost laughed out loud...he's such a goof!

waiting for 4 - I am SO completely jealous you got to go the game!!! I'm originally from Texas and miss home like crazy! I settled for watching the game on the big screen at home and singing the fight song to the dog..he had a good time...lol I know what you mean about taking the BCP's. When I first started talking to my friends about the process, everyone was really confused that I was on BCP's! And don't worry about the weight. I was doing weight watchers when we started this, but quickly realized I would have to stop going to weigh-ins. I'm watching what I eat, but not stressing about it at this point.

Tkat and Espinozal23 - It's too late to say Good luck, but I'm glad everything turned out good!

Brown01 - Welcome if I haven't said so already! I am also doing ICSI. My clinic monitors the embryos and lets us make the decision when we get to that point based on how the embies look. Also, I started a Prenatal vitamin when I first started the BCP's and they had me add a folic acid pill to get at least 1000 mcg of folic.

to_have_fun08 - It's been several days and you might have your answer already, but my AF has always stopped on the second day completely and then picked up again on the third day...frustrating! Just wanted you know it may not be abnormal!

Sorry for the absence and long post, but I'm off to bed now. I'll probably be missing until wednesday, and I have several u/s and b/w appts next week. I'll keep you updated!

Well Ladies

Its 2:07 a.m. and I a sitting in front of the computer I am having so much pain I called the nurse today and she said that its from my ovaries because they were so big but its only on the right side although she did say that I should feel better tomorrow I hope so because I have so much in the house to do the weekends is when I usually do all my cleaning and well I want to get it done before ET because I just want to be lazy during that time I have like a ton of laundry since my DH works two jobs and well my nine year old likes to change two or three times a day she doesnt know it but her little butt is going to help me this weekend.

Hi Ladies!!

Update on me- I went in for u/s today and my follie is 17mm the doc didnt let me trigger because he said the follie is too small to trigger too small?!?!? i though anything over 16 is good. I have a feeling I'll ovulate on my own since I'm having lots of pain on the side where the egg is... I'm going back for another u/s on monday because of the storm I cant go in tomorrow... what do you guys think???? I dont want my follie to get too big by monday let me know what you guys think (BTW my e2 level were 95 when my follie was 14mm so I'm guessing its in the mids 100's-200 now ) I'm just concered that in 2 days my follie could be like 21mm, or that I'll ovulate tomorrow without knowing it, anyone had that happen?

I hope everyone is doing good, and congrats espinzola thats a great # of follies !!!! I had some pain from my ovaries too after ER but I had a mild case of OHSS but it definetely subsided after 2 days.

So Ladies

The clinic called me this morning to let me know how everything was going and we have 12 that have fertilized wow we only had 5 last time so we are very excited about that they said that they would call back in the morning to let me know what they had divided at so far and when to come in for transfer we are hoping that we have alot to make it to fifth day so that we can freeze them

As for me still having pain in the lower part of my stomach but have been drinking plenty of water and powerade since I dont really like gatorade

So Tkat how have you been and have you heard an update from your clinic yet?

Will check back in later need to go to the store wanting osmething to eat but just dont know what

Mandeekins - Congrats on starting stims!! You are on your way to a BFP in 2009!! Let me know how you like The Fertility Diet book. I researched it online and it sounds wonderful.

Tkat & Espinozal23 - WOW, back to work right after your ER. Mentally I have already blocked two days after my ER for bedtime...Thanks for making me feel like a wuss. I am praying for you and can't wait to hear updates!!

Lady J - With luck AF finally came to visit you this weekend so you can get going with your BCP. Waiting sucks, but b/f you know it you will be starting stims.

Jenn - Sorry to hear about your persistent cyst. A lot can happen in a week...stay positive and hopefully your RE will provide good news!!

Michele - I never get tired of seeing beautiful babies!!! I hope you are doing well and studying hard!

Rasario - When my meds came I was so overwhelmed. The fact that they were all for me and that I had my own sharps container, blew my mind. It is amazing how quickly you get over that feeling and how eager you get to inject all of those meds into your body!!

Speaking of injecting meds, I gave myself my very first shot of Lupron about an hour ago! It took me 10 minutes to build up enough courage to poke myself in the belly, but I did it!! Now I just hope that the side effects will stay far far away. I am so excited to finally be progressing in a positive direction!!!

Good Morning Ladies

Well the clinic just called me for my morning update and we have a total of 12 that have fertilized and 6 of them are dividing a little more faster and the other 6 are right at the dividing point that they should be the lady at the clinic said that the shot of starbucks she gave my husband sperm this time done them wonders(actually we done the ICSI this time and have had better fertilization) I go in the morning at 9:00 to have my ET and I am so excited and Brown I have found out that working actually keeps my mind off of it and gives me some relief from thinking about everything because last time it just about drove me crazy

Hello Everyone

I am 31 years old, so reading your answers I doubt they will let me transfer 3. I got most of my meds yesterday, and I should be starting Gonal F before the week is over. Looks like I will also be on Ganirelix around the 6th day, and then of course Ovidrel. I see on my sheet after they do the transfer they want me on Baby aspirin. I guess that is to thin my blood or something like that. I am pretty sure we are doing ICSI, but I want to confirm with the nurse tomorrow.
I kind of counted out the days yesterday, and looks like we would do the transfer after the 1st of February, and maybe know by Valentines day if it was successful or not.

Is anyone else on the same cycle?

Hey Everyone,
I really don't feel like doing personals right now. I am just blah. Should be studying for a certification test I have to take next week but don't feel like studying. I hate studying. I also start a new class towards my bachelors degree tomorrow so that will add to more stress before I take this test next week. Maybe I am just depressed and just don't want to do anything but veggitate in front of my TV.

I hope everyone is doing well. Espinozal and Tkat - congrats on your ER. Sounds like both of you have some good little embies.

Sorry about venting and being a downer. I also want to say sorry that i am not being very supportive on this board. I feel like I am letting everyone down. i have been so involved on the Aug/Sep board and the Oct/nov/Dec board and now I am not as supportive in this board. I guess my heart is just not in this anymore. I still wish you all the best of luck. Hopefully my little pitty party will end soon and I can get back to my same crazy self.

Hello ladies, sorry that I too have been MIA, I have been working so hard at work that when I finally got a couple of days of I just slept and relaxed without even getting on the computer Update on me I went to RE on 1/9 and started the lupron, just finished my last pill of provera and still no AF. The Nurse told me we should be looking at 24 days from friday for FET. So I extimate either 1/30 or 2/2 for FET. I have another appt on Thurs-so keep you updated.

Espinozal and Tkat congrats on your ER good luck with ET. How many are you guys transferring?

to_have_fun08, I understand about feeling down and not wanting to post but it will be ok. We all have those days. I sometimes just get on to read all the good things that the women here are doing(stimming, ER/ET) and even though I am still waiting for my turn to start I get really happy and excited for everyone else. So you just keep that PMA and we will be here when you need us.

molly- i am starting to think too, that because of my age they will stick with only putting 2 back in. i think I am ok with it, just hope atleast one takes. Realistically, we could never handle triplets, and even twins will be extrememly difficult with a newborn already at home, i just pray this works, since this is our only and last shot at a sibling for ella. Your cycle sounds a little before mine, I will be starting stims around feb 20 i think, will find out soon.

Espinozal- Numbers still sound good, i am glad to here it. Good luck with ET...and you better not be going back to work after that one! Get some rest....let those embies settle in! Sticky dust to you!

KB- Congrats on that first shot! You will be a pro in no time. I only had to give myself a shot once the first time around cuz dh was working, and it took my a couple attempts before i could actually stab myself too. I hope this time, dh can do them all, I hate needles.

Well, I think af is just about here. With any luck, it will be tonight or tomorrow, and i can call the clinic for an appt for my first scan. My guess is that will be tues, wed or thurs, depends on af and schedule at the office. To anyone i missed in personals, hope you are all doing well...

I just wanted to make a few suggestions that I hope meet with all of your approval. I feel this journey is difficult enough that we use this forum as much as possible for support and avoid all pressure.

This means we don't "have to" do personal updates for everyone.

Not every post has to be upbeat and positive, sometimes we just need to share.

Sometimes we just post because we feel like it and sometimes we prefer to just stay in the backround and read up.

Also, because we are so many perhaps individualize your signature?

Some of you may feel this is all common sense but I just figured I would put it in writing to give everyone the freedom to get the most out of the tread as possible.

Kcraven… Good Luck with your dh SA tomorrow. Hope u enjoyed your Saturday. As for the BCPs, they usually tell u when to take your last one. Which is usually the active ones or is it the in-active? I always get them wrong… but usually all but the last 7 pills.

Waitingfor4… Hope u r enjoying NY. As for the weight thing. I am one that is overweight myself. I need to lose a few pounds, quite a few pounds, but I already told myself… if it doesn’t work again then I am going to take about a 6 month break and try again, hopefully I can lose a few pounds by then. The RE had told me before, but didn’t see it as a big deal, but who knows, maybe it is. But we should not add that stress to ourselves. I feel if the RE really thought of it being an issue then he wouldn’t even let us proceed.

JennLB25… I hope that the cyst subsides before your next US this week. And good luck.

Tkat & Espinoza… Congratulations with ER. I am so happy u had all those eggs this time. But u r certainly brave to have gone back to work that same day. I was in too much pain last time, I don’t know how u ladies did it. I would probably go back the next day and then be off an extra day after ET. We’ll see. Hope u ladies are feeling better. Espinoza.. Good Luck tomorrow at ET. I will be praying for a great outcome. How many are you putting back? Lots of Sticky Dust headed your way!!! And you TKat? Any news on ET?

Chris… I am so sorry you are feeling so bad right now. I understand that this whole IVF thing is finally taking it’s toll on you. But listen, you have to be strong for yourself and for you DH. I wish there was something I could do to make you feel better. As for being supportive, U R so supportive. You always find time to respond to our questions and posts even though u r working hard on earning that Degree. Good Luck and I really hope u feel better soon.

Well as for me… I had my RE appointment on Friday. The good news is that he told me I can start a new cycle. We are going to start with BFPs and I am doing the same protocol as last time. He just has to put the med order thru with the INS co, and once approved, I will be getting my meds. The bad news is that I have no AF yet … he had a blood test done to see if I am PG, and if not where is my AF at. Well, I got the results today. As of Friday I am not PG (tell me something new). According to my estro/progesterone levels were kind of high, turns out I have ovulated later than usual this month or within the last few days. She told me that I should be expecting AF within the next few days but if I have not gotten AF by Monday the 19th, then I need to go back for another PG test. Well, then, I guess, if AF is going to show up then she better find me soon. And if she doesn’t find me soon then I hope and pray that it is because I am PG. How great would that be. Well, I went and got my BCPs filled just in case my AF would have started this weekend. Also asked my RE that If everything goes well with ER, can I get 3 tranferred back. He said looking at my history, he doesn’t see why not, but he will have to advise with the other Embryologist, but it looks as if they may let me. I hope so… but first I hope that I am successful like Tkat and Espinoza and get all those eggs this time. So once again… it is Sunday night and I sit here and wait for my AF… aaarrrrrg.

Was starting to wry about you seeing as how I havnt seenu on in a while as for wrking the day of the ER it was at home and i was in PJ sitting in a chair and I talked to the nurse at the clinic today and she says that we have 6 embryos that at 5 to 6 cell right now and the other 6 are at 2 to 3 which is where they are suppose to be and according to what I have looked online at if the embryos are dividing faster than normal that means they stand a better chance at implanting I am hoping that to be the case

And as for an answer to your question DH and I are planning on putting back three and if we get one we are thankful and if we get more than that we are truly blessed Sorry to hear that you havny gotten your PG yet

We are so excited for tomorrow dont think I will close my eyes tonight planning on going into wrk at three in the morning to get a little extra wrk done so that I dont have so much when I go back in for a full shift on tuesday

And we get a pic tomorrow of the embys that we put back going to ask if we can have a pic of all 12 and of the ones that we are putting back my daughter wants to take it to school to show it off she already is so excited she had me go on babies r us website so that she could look at cribs she is determined that if we have a girl its going to sleep in her room dont think that would last too long with the nightly feedings
