Blood around placenta

Not sure how to word it as I've already forgotten how the dr worded it. I think subchronic bleeding is what is wrote on my paper. It was a dark area between the placenta & the cervix. She said it was nothing to worry about & will either go away or I may have minor spotting at some point which would be my bodies way of getting rid of it. She said they see if quite often & 90% of the time it's nothing & if I was going to miscarry or whatever from it I would have done so before now. She said no worry but of course now I am!! Anyone had this before or know anything more about it?

She said it could be caused from the uterus stretching, etc.

The baby's hearbeat was 107 3 weeks ago & is now 166. It's 1 inch long & we could see it's little body. It was so cool!! I have now been released & go to see my ob friday. I only have 7 more oil shots & we are done with that, thank God!!

Hi, I really don't know anything about subchronic bleeding, BUT I do remember somebody posting a thread a little bit ago about it, you should look for it in older posts, I believe they named it "subchronic bleeding" or something like that.

I'll do a search & look it up. I did some internet searching last night on it & almost everything I found said for most cases, it's nothing to worry about so I'm going to go with that. I have had no cramping or spotting this whole time so according to the dr that is a great sign. She said most dissolve inside & you never see any spotting. I'll talk with my reg. ob friday at my first appt with her.

Hi, I had bleeding between weeks 6 and 8, it showed as a clot between the twins and was twice the size of the embies at that time. I did pass this clot at around 7 weeks as it had gone at my 8 week US, i saw the clot i passed in tissue. It is very scary, but most of the time all is fine.

Hi ,I had this happen to me last pregnancy at 7 weeks.I also formed a clot that went away 3weeks later.My doctor told me then that sometimes they go away and sometimes not.If they don't go away,it might cause some problems later in pregnancy and if it doesn't resolve itself soon,they might put you on blood thiners like baby aspirin or lovenox.

Well I'm still on low dose aspirin till the 12th so I don't know if that would help or not. My reg. ob wants to do any us on friday to check things out so I guess we'll see what she has to say then. The ivf dr said no worry at all & if anything was going to happen because of it it would have before now so I'm hanging onto that.

I had a sub C bleed from weeks 14-17 - Just had an ultrasound the other day and didn't see much that was concerning (I'm coming up on week 19).
I was scared to death every day! The doctor put me on lovenox, baby aspirin and a multitude of supliments.
Like you , mine was brown old blood with no real cramping or other symptoms besides the fact that I would spot every other day. Over time the spotting lightened up, then went away.

YES, i had a subchorionic hematoma (clot), this causes bleeding too. i passed the clot and a large amount of bright red blood at 9 weeks, scared the crap out of me.

since, i had more bleeding that week. then spotting red-brown, and in the last 10 days, it's been dark brown sludge everyday. yuck. i had an u/s 10 days ago that was perfect and showed the area 'resolving', but still this daily spotting 3 weeks later! i'm so frustrated as it took so long to get pg, and this SCH apparently only happens to 1% of women! WTF!

my OBGYN is not overly concerned..he's cautiously optimistic this will not cause more problems. the concern is that if a clot builds again, and bleeds out severely- it can wash out the pregnancy. also when the clot releases from the uterine wall, it can take part of the placenta with it too (which the placenta doesn't like and can just decide to release completely).

so i don't know if you had a clot too...or just bleeding. and i don't know about the 'just bleeding' scenario. but i know what it's like to be freaked out and not have peace of mind. it sucks. overall being distracted with work and life helps, as it just buys time.

i'm seeing my OB again on monday and hopefully hear the h/b by doppler. that will be reassuring.

well i had my first ob appt with my reg. dr yesterday & they did another ultrasound. The bleed had gotten smaller & she wasn't worried with it at all. The baby looked great so everything is good.

I had a emergency csection with my first then my second was vaginal. Evidentally where I live now doesn't do vbacs so unless I want to drive almost 2 hours to go to the dr & have the baby, I will be having a scheduled c section with this one. I was disappointed but I guess it doesn't matter how the baby gets here as long as it's safe & healthy.

I can't breath right now, I blead on Saturday and went to the Hosp for my RH shot and had a u/s I am terrified because I lost my twins 5 months ago at this stage. I don't know what it is or how to get my mind to bounce back from that scare. Any advice?

I don't know if I have any good advice for getting your mind off of the worry. It will be there in the back of your mind, no matter what!
I have been using the "keep busy" approach, along with simply goaling myself to the next week. "Okay, all I have to do is get to week 11." Okay, made it to week 11. "All I have to do is make it to week 12..." If you try to think in terms of 40 weeks, you will go nuts with anxiety!
I hate to say it, but so much of this process is out of our control. All you can do is wait, eat right and pray.
I spent quite a few nights crying in frustration, so I can totally understand where you are coming from. Hang in there!

i'm so sorry babyhope- but hang in there. bleeding is so scary, but it can be a part of a healthy pregnancy.

so, me for example, i've gone from lots of bright red blood at 9 weeks, then spotting, then brown-sludge for 2 weeks, and FINALLY the last 4 days, my spotting is minimal. i heard the heartbeat on doppler yesterday as i entered the 2nd trimester.

my OB says he has NO CONCERNS about me m/c'ing in 2nd trimester due to this. despite what i read elsewhere- he said this is NOT correlated to a 2nd tri m/c. i trust him, he's very competent.

so what happened at your u/s? i believe you'll follow suit as i have and get through this. i'm planning the baby room too, which seems a bit bold to me, but it'll make me happy.

Thanks Karen and Fluffypuppygal. I have calmed a bit and know it is out of my control it just hurts to think that God would do this to me again. I can't loose four babies and be left with empty arms. I believe it may have been the miscarriage of one possibly a third baby, my betas were off the charts 615 and 1727 at days 16 and 18DPO. I have researched other women's beta numbers with twins and they are around 400s, last time I was prego with twins it was 235 then 532...anyway the ultrasound the next day was promising, showing two beating hearts. However, I know better than to get attached to that. It means nothing afterall.

I have had a loss of symptoms and have come to terms that I may have lost the pregnancy...then its less of a fall when I find out the truth next week. The advice is good, one day at a time, I am at one hour at a time right now. Sorry to be negative but I bet I wouldn't even buy a crib until I had a live baby in my arms.
