Hello,
I hop you have a smooth and healthy ET. Try to relax and eat healthy food after your transfer. I am sure you will have some good embies.
I had exactly 15 egg and 10 were fertilized and I put back five wich three of them were 8cell-good and I am now 12 weeks pregnant with Twins :)
I wish you the best honey

new to IVF

Post by anip2008 »

Hi everybody!

I am also very new to IVF!
I just found out that I will have to do IVF with ICSI if I want to have a baby! I am very nervous about it and scared especially about all the inkections!
I would appreciate opinions and listen to people who went through it already!
Thanks!

faith - Good luck at your transfer tomorrow. All clinics grade their embies differently so i can't comment on the grade. I am sure you have some good ones in there. So how many are you going to transfer?

My clinic grades from 1-5 with 1 being the best. If your clinic grades like mine sounds like you have some good embies...

Good luck!

Believe it or not, you get used to the injections (and I did up to 5 a day plus all the blood draws). It goes by pretty fast and in some ways gives you some sense of control. You will be a little bruised but using ice first helps a lot.

We also did ICSI. The good part is, it really increases your likelihood of fertilization.

Did you have any to be frozen for backup just in case?

The best thing to do during the two week wait is to relax and enjoy yourself within the limits of what the doctor recommends. Make sure you get your medicine on time. There's a temptation to stress about every little symptom, which it's best to avoid if you can.

Hi!

I do have six that are now frozen......... I don't have my report with me but out of the 6 I believe 3 of them were still at good quality. :D
Do you feel anything within the 2ww?

Thanks, Faith.

I had absolutely no signs or symptoms during the 2ww with my last fresh cycle and I was sure it was a no go. It turned out to be positive. Don’t over think the symptoms. It’s too early. It’s sort of funny – I never would have thought I’d want to throw up so badly.

Sounds like you are in a great position! I didn't have any symptoms during the 2ww. In fact, I didn't have much of anything the whole 1st trimester, except some cramping later on and also some major heartburn! Don't read into a lack of symptoms!

I also had 2 embryos put back in that were graded an "A" and a "B" (similar to a 1 and 2) and now have the most wonderful little boy who is 5 mos old today! It was my 1st IVF and we were very lucky to have it work the 1st time! So, good luck!
