Heart beats in the 8th week

Post by San926 »

Ladies,

i just started my 8th week and had my fisrt sono! i was enthralled to see two tiny heart beats beating away furiously!!! It just sunk in that i will be having Twins!!! :D

But, my Doctor said, soemtimes, especially in twins, we still have to wait 4 weeks and might not always be twins etc etc!!! was a little upset, but was also wondering if anyone has had a similar experience!

my heart will break if i see any heart beat stop!!! :(

Twins size is each 10 mm and heart beat of upto 154 steady rate!

San

That isn't just true for twins, it is true for every baby. The first trimester poses the greatest risk for a miscarriage. Congrats on having twins. I am having twins too. I wouldn't worry at all. You got this far! Congrats!

You have every reason to be positive. You're gonna be a mom! Yay :)

It is exciting to be pregnant with twins. You have a lot to look forward to. Just curious if they are fraternal or identical.

San,

My wife is 7 1/2 weeks along with twins as well and we go in next Thursday for our second ultrasound. Our doctor did explain to us that their is a 25% chance that my wife could "naturally" reduce down to one over the next few weeks, but with the measurements that she had and the heartrates he thought that percentage would be even lower.

Baby A measured 6 weeks 4 days
Baby B measured 6 weeks 4 days
Baby A heartrate 123
Baby B heartrate 128

I've heard that if they have a higher heartrate, i.e. yours, that it may be a girl and the lower heartrates, i.e. ours, may be boys. Don't know how much truth is in that and I don't really care. I'll take two healthy whatever!
Destiny is not a matter of chance, it's a matter of choice.
