Need to vent...

Post by momwant2b »

On Sunday the 11th I had FET. RE's office gave me order to have half time labs done. I live 4 hours away from RE so I went to my GYN's office for labs. These labs were STAT, they assured me this morning that they would fax them by noon and when I called RE this afternoon GYN's office had not sent them and of course GYN's office closes early on Friday's. I have no clue what my levels are and freakin out. Nurse told me not to worry that she would get them first thing Monday morning.

Is it just me or do people not understand the importance of these labs. I even had a conversation with the tech about my IVF cycles. I am supposed to have my Beta next Friday needless to say I have been on the phone trying to find someone close who can do these STAT labs and get them to my RE. I know that I am not the only person they saw today but they should have told me if they were not able to do the orders......

Just needed to vent....

hi momwant2b~ no, you are not alone in this department. What I was able to quickly figure out after going through IVF, is that for most women, this is their last hope for pregnancy. We place all of our eggs (no pun intended) into one basket, and we follow everything we are supposed to do right down to the wire. We have to consume ourselves with the IVF world. Injections, medications, doctors visits, blood work, sonograms, surgeries, bedrest....and on and on and on. It becomes our life. Sadly, the healthcare providers in this field are just "doing their job" day after day, and oops if the blood didn't come in by Friday, they'll just get it on Monday. Meanwhile you're ripping your hair out because ALL you wanted was the darn lab results. You are not alone sweetie. We have all been there in one way or another. Hang in there. I hope you get the results promptly, and I hope even more so to hear that you got a BFP!!!!!!!!!
1st IVF~DD 2004
2nd IVF~ 2008 BFP
Thank you Lord for this blessing
love and miss you gram and baby b
