Stim side effects-when do they start?

Post by Macntuck »

Hi everyone -
Can anyone tell me how long after starting stims I should expect to experience side effects? I started stims yesterday and feel nothing yet.
Thank you, Debbi

Hi Carolyn -
Did your side effects start right away or did they show up a few days in?
Thank you for your reply.

Thank you and you're right - silly to worry, but having trouble avoiding it.

Hi Debbi,

I have been on the stims for 4 days and no side effects yet. The only thing that bothers me is when my husband injects the Menopur it burns a little.
We will see if side effects start in the next couple days because they upped my dosage yesterday.

I wish you lots of luck and less worrying with this cycle!

Both times that I did stims, I started to have the side affects around day 5. I was just really bloated and felt blah. I think taking the antibotic also helped with me feeling like crap. The side effects weren't that bad, i just wasn't up to being my old smiling self. Good luck.

ERT - With the menopure, mix it and then let it sit for about 5 minutes, then inject. Many of us have found that this helps take out the burn.

to_have_fun08,

Thanks for the advise about letting the Menopur sit for 5 minutes. I will try that tonight.

In both cycles that you did stims did they change the dose as you went along?

Thanks for all the replies. Still no side effects on day 5 of stims. No bloating or anything. I'm surprised based on what I have been reading. Of course, I get worried that I'm not responding.....
