PIO in sesame oil versus olive oil?...

Post by natashamom »

Ladies,I have a question, did you ever try the progesterone in sesame oil or the olive oil or both and how was your experience?

I`m debating between the sesame oil and the olive oil injections, the olive oil ones are $30 more but my nurse told me they are better since they make less lumps, any one has any idea?

Thank you,baby dust,

Natasha.

I have had some allergic reactions to the sesame depending on where I inject.

My friend used something like Oleate? That is the best supposedly, but not sure what it is...

from wikipedia: Ethyl oleate is the ester formed by the condensation of the fatty acid oleic acid and ethanol. It is a colorless to light yellow liquid. Ethyl oleate is produced by the body during ethanol intoxication.

Progesterone with ethyl oleate is what my RE gave me to use....he said its easier to inject and you can use a smaller needle because it is not as thick as oil. I haven't tried it yet because I am not that far along in my cycle!

olive oil

I used both the last cycle. The first three cycles we used something that looked like the stuff you used when you have a yeast infection. This time we started with olive oil and ended with the sesame oil. The olive oil was thicker and I started to itch from it. I used the sesame with a smaller needle and had no more problems!

I was PIO (Sesame) but unfortunately after stopping the PIO shots I developed a rash and boy was it itchy and lasted a little over a month. My new RE PIO again but pharm made sure they did not give me Sesame oil.

Thanks so much for the info,I`m in so much pain, have lumps on both side of my hips and all red and blue and green...

I`m glad I only bought 4 vials of the olive oil so now I`ll go to Target and order the sesame one, they have the best price.

Again thanks!

Did you ever get pregnant?
