Afternoon ladies ... not quite sure where to begin but this is definitely a me.. me... me post !!!

Had excellent vissit with clinic and Re spoke excellent english - he wanted to know when we wanted to start treatment and I was like today why !!! - so can you believe it from friday I started taking drugs for IVF 3

They have found us a ED match - same eye and hair colour, height, weigh and blood group. ET was planned for early March but as DH got to go to Saudi for work in MArch it will be april .. oMG . we were like dancing round the streets of Prague .. lots of pople prob thought mad pissed up english

Got prescription for drugs and it was like £35 for compete cycle drugs .. so cheap - we had to have blood tests re done for Hep a, b, c, HIV and syphlis and in UK we were quoted like £400 - it cost us £200 including consultain! - poor DH managed to pass out when she took his blood - god job all he has to do is produce into a pot for IVF!!!!

So we are oin our way fro IVF 3.. am still in shock and never in my dreams did I think it would be so quick.. at last someone is on our side!!

Take care eveyone and am back home tomorrow so will catch up more then xxx

Carolyn, THAT IS FANTASTIC NEWS!!! I recall that my experience in Prague was very quick as well - fast to match us up and fast to get to the point of transfer. You guys must be thrilled! Can you believe that if it works this time next year your whole life could be different??? I am thrilled for you guys!

We are doing great! The twins are more and more fun every day! So happy and very interactive with us and with each other which is adorable. I still can't believe we've been blessed with such angels!

Hope everyone is doing well! I am rooting for each of you!

hi girls!
Sorry I've been MIA - have been busy at work, away on business and then got the flu...now I am feeling much better and have joined the living once again...thanks for asking about me!

carolyn - fantastic news!! you must be so very, very excited!! you went to the right place at exactly the right time - so happy for you.

chriss- your time will be here as soon as the flowers start to bloom, and I personally can't wait for that time to be here. Do hope you are on the tail end of your waiting period and that you too will be on your way to make your dream come true.

pauline - all the best with your upcoming appt in Brno!!

kelly, thanks for checking up on us and keeping our hopes alive! Sounds like you were writing your post with a great smile on your face, talking about your twins and how much you are enjoying this time with them.

As for me, I have started -- my 1st scan will be on the 30th to check my lining and when all goes well, my transfer should be on Feb 6th. Keep your fingers crossed for me!

big hello to jenb! so nice to see you posting again. do hope you are feeling stronger. thanks so much for supporting all of us from the sidelines -- for now. wherever your journey may take you, we are right there with you.

take care everyone,
xx summer

Carolyn, WOW, I'm so excited for you. :P That is great news and especially not having to wait. Poor DH passing out giving a blood sample, isn't it a good job he doesn't have to go through the regime of drugs for IVF, otherwise he'd be forever passing out on you

I'm re-thinking now and will look into Gennett now as well (due to long waiting times at Reprofit). How did they manage to find a match for you so quickly if you dont mind me asking - did you have to submit information abour yourselves before the actual appt. Can you also give me a rough idea of what it is costing at Gennett (again, if you don't mind). Also, did you have your Blood type & RH factor results with you for the appt in Gennett or would they carry them out there for you too?

Luckily our doctor completed the bloodwork form for us so we can get them done at Kingston hospital for free but we will have to pay for blood type and RH factor tests. We don't have any of our tests done yet as the Dr in Brno suggested waiting until the summer to do them plus DH says we will get the clinic to do all the tests.

In the meantime, I've been looking into flying into Brno for our appt with Reprofit. If we decide on Gennet, Carolyn do you mind if I pester you with more questions on travel & hotels etc.

Summer, how exciting for you too, almost time for your transfer - are you getting excited too?

Jeni, how are you keeping? Thanks for your continued support.

Kelly, so good to hear how the twins are doing. You sound so happy in your texts.

Chris, how are you doing.

Take care everyone, what an exciting time.

Summer - all crossed for linning check - ca't believe it is happening so quick xx

Pauline - we emailed clinic and they sent forms and prices same day virtually - lady called Anastasia is international patient coordinator and english is excellent - we had blood type and rheus done here but all other tests were out of date - HIV and Hep etc - but much cheaper to get done there than UK - did it on day for us -if want to leave DH sample though you have to have HIV result not more than 3 months old. We took notes from previous cycles with us but doc just scanned through them and did not want copies. Then had to fill in form with donor characteristics and level of importasnce and they feed it in to daytabase and came back with match - not sure how !! Treatment is around £4k including drugs (they were only like £40 equivalent! Just PM me wahtever else you need to know or via here! I really liked the clinic and you can walk there from town centre - well its all up hill but we walked back along river into town - its very modern building and clean and has a nice feel about it. They also do appointments on saturdays if that would help with DH and work - we flew easyjet

Take care

Hi Guys,

Glad to see that there is some action here on our thread. Can't believe how quickly things are moving along.

Summer, full speed ahead, pave the way for us. Your lining will be great.

Carolyn, can't believe how quickly things are moving for you too. Excellent.

Pauline, keep looking into things and the right one will show itself.

Hi Jenbabes, always good to hear from you. Hope you are well.

Kelly, keep enjoying those babies. And thanks for cheering us on.

I am just hanging out, could be a few more months till I get the call. That's ok. I've waited this long:) Just wanted to pop in to say hi and to keep this thread going. We need the support from each other. BTW, I am going to try something interesting to help me deal with stress, etc. It is therapeutic hypnosis. I know it may sound strange, but I was referred to this person by a friend who went and she said that it is unbelievable. The therapist makes a special CD for you that you can listen to each night. Supposed to work with the unconscious mind. Ever hear of anything like this? I'm willing to give it a try. I have been feeling a bit stressed lately. I know it's not the "magic" cure to make me pregnant, but it could help me relax in the meantime. I'll let you know. I'm keeping an open mind.

hi chriss - I think jenb also tried something like that -- but I think it was a cd she ordered, not something made for her, but you would have to ask her to be sure. is this a new therapist that you would meet with and then they create a cd just for you? it sounds worth looking into -- relaxation is one of the hardest things to practice during this journey -- our minds are always working and asking questions, both positive and negative...
let me know how it works for you...I have a cd I like from acadia national park, called nature's symphony -- brings back such nice memories of our trip there and is very soothing -- nothing to do with hypnosis, but something I use to fall asleep when my mind is racing or when I want to escape to another place and forget about my day...

speaking of days, is it friday yet?? :D will let you all know how my lining appt. goes --

slowly but surely things are falling into place for all of us -- this is our time.

have a great week everyone,
xx summer
