Hello ladies- I am new here and to IVF. I had my first visit with my RE on Christmas eve and I completed my checklist by Jan 6th. AF showed up on Jan 13th, I did my CD3 testing on the 15th and started BCP on the 16th. Today I went to my protocol appt and was told to stop my BCP on Tuesday 1/27 after only 12 days. Then I will wait 3 days and start stimming with Follistim for 10 to 12 days then ER!!! Dont get me wrong I am not complaining because patients is not one of my many wonderful qualities but I have been sifting through these post and I havent seen anyone who has had a protocol that was this short. what do you think? Any input would be greatly appreciated and I look foward to getting to know all of you- Jodi

Jodi - They probably only putting you on BCP's so they can get you into their calender. Some RE's only do ER and ET, 1 week out of the month. I have heard of some ladies only being on BCP's for 14 days. As far the rest of your cycle, it seems right on target with stimming for 10 to 12 days. Just feel lucky because you don't have to worry about a wait. Are they doing a baseline u/s and b/w? If they are at this appointment they will make sure that you are down regulated enough, that is the main point before you start stims. Good luck!

Chris-
Thanks for replying. I guess my concern is that most people start simming on CD1. I will start stimming on CD15?I hate not fully understanding what is going on. Any way they will be doing u/s and b/w on CD15 so I guess I am just going to have to trusr my RE.
i saw that you are doing a January/feb cycle also. Do you have a protocol?
