NY~congrats on your 4 blasts transferred!! That is super news. Wow--I am impressed you produced such great embryos--and so many. 6 blasts is tremendous for us older gals! Congratulations. I think you have a really good chance. Now take it easy and be good to yourself--you are knocked up!

Renee~do you have any symptoms yet? How are you feeling? Did you tell Rocco yet that he is going to have a little bro/sis yet?

Kelly~I have heard great things about Chinese herbs too. Rinnie from these boards really get me convinced as she totally beleieved in their power--and now she is pregnant! I am just hoping they improve my egg quality and quantiy. (I only had four eggs on both my previous IVFs)

I am going in for a scan in the morning to ensure there are no cysts. Man--I hate to be wanded first thing in the morning--especially on a Monday! oye.

I am 41 and am going on #2. I am in san diego at sdfc. Anyone have any success with accupunture? if so, when did you start? before stim meds or after transfer.

Tammy, Kelly and all ~ I get my herbs from a practicioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine. She adjusts the herbs depending on where i am in my cycle. I have taken all of these at some point in the last 3 months:

Shou Wu
Salvia & Ambia
Growing Jade
Eleuthero 10
Zizyphus
Heavenly Empress
Restorative

I will stop taking them before starting stims as herbs are strong and could interfere with Western medicine. My RE did not want me to take herbs at all--but I have heard such powerful endorsements from ladies on this board that I had to try it. I sure hope they help my eggs!

Renee~I can understand why you are going to wait to tell Rocco until 20 weeks. That will be a very happy day! How old is Rocco anyway?

Blake's Wife~welcome to the board. I have done accupuncture through all my IVFs. I start well before stims as my AP likes to beef up my kidney yang. Then I continue through stims and it is especially important to go on the day of transfer. I find AP to be very therapuetic--my AP is very supportive and kind and helps me prepare mentally too.

My us went smoothly--no cysts! Hooray! So I will take my last pill on Sunday and start stims next week. I wish I had more PMA this time around--I feel a bit beat up by the process and still trying to bounce back from the BFNs. I think it is really tough this time as I was so positive last time and really thought it worked. I barely believed the nurse when she told me it was BFN. I think I am scared to get my hopes up again. But I need to muster up some positive energy somehow, cause being down is not going to help!

ok so my new protocol is a BC free antagonist protocol, with gonal-F and orgalutran? Does anyone know that? How and when do I take that?

I know I will get all those questions answered when I go meet with my nurse but that will not happen for a while now since my cycle is not until March and they don't want you to get the training until closer to the time.

Hello Ladies:

I hope this post finds everyone doing well. Sorry I have not been around much, I have been very busy getting my house ready for sale. DH decided we needed a bigger house for these 3 little ladies.

I had my Nucal scan 2 weeks ago doctor informed me yesterday all is normal and I had another US yesterday as well, they girls are growing well and moving around alot. I cannot wait to start feeling them.

NY I am so thrilled for your transfer, please know my thoughts are with you and DH.

Renee, thanks for asking about me. I hope you are doing wonderful and completly understand your choice not to tell Rocco just yet.

I cannot hide being pregnant since I am the size of a 6 month pregnant women, maybe even bigger, so everyone that sees me knows. Dr said my size is normal since my uterus has been stretched before with my 3 other children. but it is in for even more with 3 in there.
