Hello -
I am 43 with 1 ovary and a blocked tube on the side of the ovary. My only shot at conceiving is through IVF. My first IVF experience ended today sad results.
I had 5 follicles on Saturday - sizes ranged from 20mm to 14mm. ER was today. Only 3 follicles identified today which measured about 25mm - too big!
They found no eggs. My RE practice rotates the docs for 2 wk cycles so the RE who identified the 5 follicles and planned my trigger is not the same person who performed the ER today. The RE today thought perhaps they waited too long to trigger and I may have ovulated early, but couldn't confirm. Has anyone else experienced such a thing? Is there a chance my follicles never grew eggs?
Go to haveababy.com and register to post on those boards. You can ask the SIRM REs in each region about it. You should gain some insight. You do not have to be a SIRM patient to post questions. After you get some answers from them you can discussed what you were told with your doc. Sorry i couldn't be more helpful.
