NY, congrats on being PUPO. Sending lots of "STICKY VIBES" your way. By the way, did the other 2 make it to freeze?

Elida, glad things are going well with your 3 little ones

Sue, no cysts. That is fantastic. Let the games begin. Okay, maybe i won't do the herbs. It sounds like something you can't just do on your own.

Sisi, i have not heard of that drug sorry. Let us know what you find out.

Blake'sWife, do you have any clue when you will start your cycle.

Hello everybody. I hope you are all doing well!!!

Okay Sisi1, it is the brand name for ganirelix. So you are doing an antagonist cycle like Lynnie and i did. The only difference is our included estrogen priming as well. I hope you have awesome results.

Brand Name
Orgalutran
Common Name
ganirelix injection

DIN (Drug Identification Number)

02245641 ORGALUTRAN

How does this medication work? What will it do for me?

Ganirelix belongs to the class of medications known as gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) antagonists. It is used to prevent premature ovulation in women undergoing ovarian stimulation as part of fertility treatment. It blocks the effects of gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH). GnRH controls the secretion of another hormone, called luteinizing hormone (LH), a hormone that starts ovulation (release of an egg) during the menstrual cycle. Ganirelix allows the release of an egg to be controlled so it is released at the best time for pregnancy to occur.

NY, sorry no frosties but i have a feeling it is your turn. I can't wait for the announcement.

Sisi, in a straight antagonist cycle i am not sure. I will have to look around. But within every protocol category there are many versions. Lynnie and i had very different protocols.

This is how mine goes. I just resumed estrace after i got my first post ER period. I will be on it for about a month before adding provera for 10 days. Then stop both estrace and provera which brings on your period. I have day 3 E2 and ultrasound. If no cysts the next day i start the Ganirelix. I take it for 3 days then on day four i add follistim. I continue to take ganirelix and follistim everyday until the day i trigger. I also take some luveris here and there. But i have no idea how you will do it.

I started having bleeding like you described with Liam at about this time. It was a subchorionic hemorrhage. Yes, bleeding is very common. Try not to worry too much.

NY, thanks for the compliment but i would not go that far. I just know how to google. LOL

Renee~ I've got my fingers crossed for your ultrasound today. Please let us know what you see! I hope it is all good. Also--I notice from being on these boards that most IVF pregnancies seem to have their share of bleeding. So keep the faith, Girl.

NY~ Your blasts sound amazing. Don't worry about loosing the frosties as you won't need them! I am thinking of you and hoping for your BFP.

Kelly~ How old is Liam? Is he an IVF baby?

I am counting down the days to my last BFP this Sunday. I really hate what they do to me--I am all kinds of crazzy being on the pill. I have not been on the pill since college days cause it affects my personality too much! At least my boobs are nice and big--big change for a flat-chested girl like me!

Renee: Do not worry. I had some spotting during the first trimester of my pregnancy with Andrew. I went to my RE and had an ultrasound. He said that brown blood is old blood. He thought that it was due to having intercourse.

SueQiwi: Good luck on your testing this Sunday. Let's hope for a BFP!

Hello to Kelly, NY4thtry, Sis1, Blakeswife, Elida and anyone else that I may have missed.

chuckle--oops. I meant to say BCP in my post, not BFP! The BCPs are what make me crazy! A BFP would make me HAPPY!!
