This is my first time on this board. My DH and I have been TTC for 8 years now. After TTC for one year, we went to the local OB/GYN for some assistance. After tracking my BBT he decided to put me on Clomid. I don't remember the dose or exact information as it has been 4.5 years since then. After 3 cycles on Clomid the NP called me at work and told me I had PCOS. I was terrified and began seeing a RE. My RE was very upset at my OB/GYN and the way they tested my levels and the diagnosis. They tested my DH and everything was clear. I was told I didn't have PCOS but two weeks later they said they that I might have it. I started Metformin but became very sick on it so had to discontinue. We were told the next step for us were the injectable drugs and they were very expensive and our insurance did not cover them. We left discouraged and vowed not to do anymore "treatment". 4 months later I got my first BFP(July 2004). Shortly after I began spotting. Needless to say at 6 weeks I m/c. The doctor was literally scratching his head since my levels were still climbing the day I m/c. We decided to adopt and got a DD in April 2005. I got my second BFP in January 2007 only to lose it that same week. So now here we are, 2009 and have decided to "start the process again". We found a new doctor and he checked my progest. on cd21. My level was 5.7 I began Clomid (50 mg) on day 5-9 of my next cycle. Several hot flashes and mood swings later I had my progest checked again on cd 21. It was 8. Today is cd1 and I will take (100 mg) Clomid again on days 5-9. It is a very emotional ride and very hard to make friends and family understand. I guess I am here because I needed some serious moral support! LOL
