My first beta was a 6 so they wanted me to go for the second beta since "technically" it was a positive. My second beta today did double to a 12. I go for another test on Sat. However, I am bleeding pretty good. My reality in my brain says there is no way, but I still have that false sense of hope. I was just wondering if anyone has had anything similar. All the nurse told me was if it doubled again Sat, they would schedule me for a 6 week ultrasound. She did say, however, it more than likely will go down since I am bleeding. Any thoughts?
Thanks so much...

I have been in your shoes. In my experience it was a chemical pregnancy and not viable. I would say that the bleeding isn't a very good sign, I'm sorry. However, I have heard of people who had really low numbers and went on to have babies.
Unfortunately I think Amanda is right.. i too have been in your shoes.. and it was a chemical...especially if you are on supplemental progesterone >>>what day aftet ET was your beta??
so sorry...

Hi! last year I tried IVF twice and both got BFP with low HCG...one was a 7 and both were ectopics....I also bled and my HCG kept rising but not normally so this was when I knew it was more than a chemical, or BFN...not to scare just to share an experience...and because it ws at least detected early since we did IVF, there was no danger...Ive been on a break for 3 months now since the last IVF and am waiting to see what I want to do next...the last was my 5th IVF by the way...so am tired for now
So I hope you are fine...there are still many miracles...many many! Just believe in them...low HCGs that turn out to be healthy babies!!! Good luck!
