hi carolyn, thanks for the good wishes and PMA! With my other IVF tmts, I didn't have a lining problem -- hoping for the same thing this time around. Just let me knock on some wood here...:D

It hasn't quite sunk in yet, that a week from Friday I just might have a couple of embies on board...Do hope to start us off with a BFP in a few weeks time! wow, wouldn't that be just great? Just have to keep believing it really can and will happen --

I must say tmt without needles and only pills to take (at this point) makes this whole process a lot less stressful.

Sending lots of positive vibes also to chriss that she too will soon get her call that a donor match has been found!

Best wishes to all the egg-heads and to everyone reading.
xx summer

hi girls,
thanks for all the good wishes! Unfortunately, I failed my lining test today and have to retake it on Monday -- :(
my doctor was nice and will squeeze me in 1st thing in the morning...
they have upped my dosage of meds and told me to increase my intake of water by 1 liter--so now 3 liters/day...hope all this does the trick..
They wanted the 1st lining check to be between day 10 and day 12. I started with the meds on day 1. Today was day 11 of my cycle and my lining was 5,5 mm -- Monday will be day 14 and then the transfer would/might happen on day 18 (Friday).
I've never had this trouble with my previous IVF cycles, not sure what the difference is -- Going back to read my Zita West book for some ideas...oh man, what a day....

Interesting Carolyn that your clinic does the 1st lining check on day 14 -- hopefully that day will be good for me as well..

hi to everyone reading and hope your Friday was better than mine!!
xx summer

WOW summer - you see PMA does help!!

I am currently on BCP doing 2 months of those as DH away with work in March so can't have ET then - from my calculations start hormone/ womb lining drugs around 20ish of March and thenlinning scan around 8/9 April - did you leave frozed DH sample already or are you using fresh? - when is ET - just trying to provisionally work my dates out

Am sooo pleased for you

hi carolyn, thanks for all the PMA!
My donor already did her cycle in November, but I couldn't travel then, so they froze all the fertilized embryos -- so I will be having an FET. Your timing might in the end be different, depending on what day they do ER on the donor and if they transfer 3 day or 5 day embryos back to you. But here is how things have gone so far with me:
I didn't take any BCP's and started taking meds to build up the lining & hormones on cycle day 1 ="cd1" (20 Jan). My 1st lining scan was on cd11 and the 2nd on cd14. ET will be on cd18 (6 Feb).
Yes, DH left a sample to freeze back in Sept., as he expected he wouldn't be able to make it back again for ER/ET -- and that was/is indeed true - I'll travel alone on Friday, stay over at the clinic hotel and come back on Saturday. DH is really disappointed, but is looking forward to picking "us" up on Saturday.

Hope the information was helpful to give you an idea - I'm sure Kelly might be able to give more detailed info if she had a fresh cycle.

I've got my fingers crossed that this will be a good year for the egg-heads!
Take good care, everyone!
xx summer

Good Luck Summer - that is awesome! Great news about your lining!!!

Carolyn, if I recall correctly, I arrived in Prague on Sunday, had my lining check on Monday (cycle day 12), the ER was on Wednesday (it was delayed a day because of the ED follicle development), I had a 5-day transfer on Monday and flew home on Tuesday. I also had to do a lining check before leaving Canada on the Friday. Hope that helps!
