Drug Interactions?

Hi everyone...

Just have a question....

I'm on my 14th day of Lupron and I'm injecting 20units each evening. I've been sick with a bad bad cough and cold and my regular doctor prescribed an antibiotic Cephalexin and an albuterol inhaler. I didn't even think of calling my IVF coordinator to ask about taking these and I was on them for about 5 days before I realized that they could be adversely affecting me. I stopped immediately.

My question is.... should I be worried?

I'm not a doctor, but I don't think it would affect how it works. Lupron just controls your cycle. It should be ok.

Make sure you tell you RE about it though.

Don't worry..there is no problem taking lupron with the other two meds you are taking.

I had to do this a few weeks ago with my ear infection and my dr and the pharmacist said the only thing you cant take when you are preparing for IVF is anything that would hurt a baby if you were already pregnant. I dont think lupron or the stims interact with any medication.

Thanks.... does the Lupron affect your immune system? I've never had a cough/cold for 12 days in my life!

I'm starting to feel better though. Hope your ear infection has gone away completely.
