Jess didnt open her little presents until boxing day, i tink she just had too many to take it all in on Christmas day.

must dash off for a little drink.

ALL THE BEST FOR 2009, REALLY HOPING MANY DREAMS COME TRUE!!

Love

Hi all!

Yes, we had a fab time too! And in fact we were also still opening pressies until the day after Boxing Day! Have finally "reclaimed" my lounge (i.e. taken the tree down!) and am now looking for space to put all the new toys!

Hope all is well! all the best for 2009!

Hi ALL

A VERY BELATED MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!

Wasn't it great fun this year with the 2 year old gang!

Sorry i have not been on for so long but life has been rahter full on with getting my head around the BFN - didn't think it would hurt so much  and tryin got sell our house. I know i know bad timing with the whole credit crunch but long story.

Anyway am back on the ivf bandwagon. Am doing an Antagonist cycle this time(had OHSS last fresh cycle). Started those fab injections on Sunday so here we go again. I am much more positive this time so hope that has some bearing on the result and as i was confused about how long this cycle lasts i could have transfer the exact same date - my birthday as Arabella was transferred

Have just moved Arabella into a grown up bed. We bought an adult single and it was not until we put it all together at home that i realised it was so high off the ground! She can get out but not back in - oops. So far no problem wiht her getting out though - i think it helps that as our house is so old (300 yrs +) the door handles are all 4-5 ft off the ground. Once the door is shut she is going nowhere! We ahve strapped the one of her cot sides to the bed though so she can't fall out.

Now on to toilet training!

LOl

Ooo Saraid - back on the rollercoaster! Good luck - keep us posted with important scan dates etc. and we'll cheer you on! How spooky about the transfer date! Well done on moving Arabella to a bed. I wasn't looking forward to it, but it was suprisingly easy! You house sounds very similar to mine - around 300 years and the high latches are fab. I've never had to worry about him being able to open the doors - I can only just reach lol!

We are 2 weeks into potty training and it's actually going very well! We had lots of accidents at first but have had about 3 completely dry days on the trot which is good! He does now tell us when he needs to go (although not EVERY time so we have to be careful!). Have written tedious (lol!) posts about this on my blog so won't go on and on about it now! But I've found you need you need plenty of patience, lots of praise and bucketfuls of dettol and jcloths!!!!!

Hows everyone else doing????!!!!

thanks Cla.

YOu have done really well with potty training. I need to get some consistency for Arabella - different things keep interupting us. I have just taken her in to the duty dr today as she has had an awful fever over the w/end and this morning a rash on her torso. Of course you always think the worst but it is not meningitis (my neighbours brother was siagnosed just b4 xmas so u can imagine!). I have to drop in a urine sample and call in the morning to check there is nothing else going on.

My 1st scan is on friday 16th at 9.40am so grow follies grow! Then one on man and wed with poss ER on 22nd or 23rd. They are doing 3 day transfer this time as opposed to 2 day in 2006. You forget how easy it is to do your injections - sleepless night b4 the 1st one and of course it was no trouble, a few deep slow breaths to calm the nerves anbd away we go.

Right i better go and check on madam as she has now been asleep for 2 hours!

LOL

Helllooooo - all my long lost buddies! I finally got around to tracking down this website again! I moved house, bought a new computer and this site wasn't bookmarked anymore, and got way too caught up in day to day living to get back to my chillout space. But here I am!

I have been reading a few of the preceding pages, and I really need a response strategy. Do you guys take notes as you're reading, or type it into MSWord and then cpy&pst into the response? I have all these comments I want to make when I read about someone, and then go blank when I start typing!

Anyway - Cla & Saraid...umm, your houses are older than European settlement in my country! Wow!
Saraid - how is your cycle going?

Such great progress with all the 2 year olds. Here is a little update on me/Lucy:
Lucy is sleeping in a big girl bed. She started just before Christmas as we were house-sitting and I couldn't bear to put her in the port-a-cot. She is still very tall, and about as long as the p-a-c, so it would be like a coffin for her. We thought we would try her in our nephew's single bed and see how she went. She was fine! No issues at all (they are surprising huh?). So we rushed out a bought a single bed before we went back home to stick with the move, and it's been great.
No development on the toilet training, although I haven't really tried! She finds it interesting to sit on the potty and pretend to go, but doesn't actually do anything. She did manage a number 2 in it on the weekend, and that surprised us all (especially her!).
She is OBSESSED with TV, and it's doing my head in! Every day - "can I watch Dora/Diego/Roary now?" over and over again. Is anyone else's child that obsessed with TV?

Lucy has been in day care 3 days a week for a year now, and she loves it. She struts around there like she is the boss, and waves goodbye to everyone when she leaves and thanks them. It's so cute! I did a post grad degree in teaching last year, so I'm now a qualified teacher, although I'm still at my old job in HR.

I also had a FET last week - from the same cycle as Lucy. I test next week. I'm trying not to obsess over it, but it's amazing how all the old fears creep back.

Cla...I checked out your Blog...I'm so impressed!! Well done ;-)
Kristi - I couldn't find the link to yours....could you post it again?

Mel - I hope you get on and check-in every so often. It would be good to keep up with you and Maia and how your cycle is going.

Now i have this bookmarked again, I promise not to fall off the planet again! It's so good to catch up with all of you, but I'll stopping dribbling on now and go for a swim at the beach (it's been 40+ degrees c here!!).

Hello Everyone!

Yes, I too have fallen off the face of the earth. New job, no computer for awhile, etc. I can't believe how much is going on with all of you. It has been so fun for me to catch up reading everyone's posts.

Kuddos to all of you for getting your wee one's into "big" beds. We are still in the crib, mostly because Hendricks doesn't try to crawl out of it, and it keeps him contained.

We have done a little potty training... he loves to sit on the chair fully dressed, but once the pants come down, he can't seem to focus on what he needs to do. We've tried bribes (chocolate), reading books (to distract) but so far only one success. Funny, he can pee on command when he's in the shower with daddy.

Bella and Saraid - keeping my fingers crossed for you! We are doing an FET at the end of March (frosties from H's cycle). I'm already getting some anxiety about going through it.

So good to catch up! Hope you are all well!

Hi All,

Well...today was test day, and BFP!! Unbelievable! My Doc is a genius!!

My HCG levels were a lot higher than with Lucy - over 400. We only transferred 1 embryo though.

Anyway, now waiting game until 7 week scan, then 12 weeks etc etc. The waiting never stops!

GOOD LUCK SARAID!!!XXXX

Bella - THAT IS FANTASTIC! Congrats! I am soooooo happy for you!

- Julie

P.S. Forgot to mention in my last post that Hendricks too is OBSESSED with tv. Maybe it is because he only watches a little each day. But he constantly asks/whines... "I watch movie/pooh/nemo PLEASE" It is hard not to give in when he asks nicely though.
