Hello ladies,

NY, thinking about you.

Renee, you are in a tough spot. Single mom and trying to get ready for the move. I HATE moving. It is the pits. Due date 9/20/09. Got it.

Kat, i use IVPCare as well. They have been awesome. Congrats on getting started on stims soon. I want all the details. Watching the active cyclers really makes the time tick by quicker. What was your AFC? Working out while on stims is fine. I don't know about after the ER. I was planning on ER without fresh ET so i didn't even ask.

Sue, glad those ovaries are rocking. You have not been on stims that long. I hope you have a ton of follies cooking at you next US. I can't wait to see if the herbs made a difference. Same goes for you, i want all the details. What was your AFC? I think the beach would be fine a couple of days after ET. I think you will be bloated and miserable for the first few days anyway. I know i was. People that live in places that are hot year round get pregnant. I think swimming in the ocean would be fine after a few days too but ask your doc. I would be interested to know what they say.

Tammy, i think clomid or femara is a good idea. Multiple targets per cycle ups your chances. Femara is a new alternative. It does the same thing clomid does but through a different mechanism. It has a short half life. Clomid has a long half life so you can have endometrial lining problems and hostile CM on clomid. Not so on femara. Also, i had no side effects from the femara. You can not trust an opk for 3 days after your last dose of clomid. I don't know if it would throw off the watch too. Also, if you are going to do either one i would do it with a trigger shot. No sense making extra follies unless you have a way to induce them all to ovulate. Usually no ultrasound monitoring is required. I think you trigger when you get a peak reading then have sex that day and the day after.

Hello to everybody else. I hope all the pregnant ladies are doing well. I will update the list again soon. You know me. I am a little slow at it.

SueQiwi: I have not totally given up the coffee. DH makes a pot in the AM with 1/2 caff/1/2 decaf. I drink one cup (10oz). I'm getting about 5% of caffeinated coffee a day. I should probably stick to straight decaf. I am on "Fertile Day 2" according to my OV watch, so DH and I will have plans after DS is down for bed

Renee: Sorry to hear that you have been overwhelmed. How is the pregnancy going?

Kat: You are too funny  "Practice Husband"..............I call DH's ex-wife his "Starter Wife".

Kelly: Thanks so much for the information. It looks like Femara might be a good choice for me. Since I did conceive naturally once, I'm guessing as long as there are a few good eggs left I have a shot at getting pregnant. The trigger shot is a good idea. Hopefully, I would get more than one follicle to increase my chances.

DH and I just refinanced our house tonight and the closer from the title company said she got pregnant naturally with her last son at the age of 45............an inspiration to us all.

Hello to NY, Hil, Sis1, Natasha and anyone else that I may have missed.

Take care all,
Tammy

Lynnie, thanks for the offer. If you can't find another taker for the ganirelix i can use it. I am self pay but money may be tighter for somebody else. I would rather somebody who really needs a break have first dibs. KWIM?

Tammy, i hope you got busy the other night. You little

Kat, now were have you run off to?

Waving a big hello to everybody else.

Kat~ wow--your first cycle sounds like a horrible experience! You poor thing! Between the discomfort and weight gain and then having it all canceled--you are a trooper. Here's hoping this one goes much better for you. I will probably have egg envy for all your glorious eggs! I'm used to it--everybody always has more eggs than me!

Tammy~ Fingers crossed you get knocked up the old-fashioned way! That would be so awesome.

Kelly
~ yep--it is quite early for me to feel my ovaries--but they are definitley grinding away! This actually happened to me on both my previous cycles too--I called my Doc on my first cycle cause i thought something must be wrong. But apparently I just have a super sensitive system. And I am also on the top dose of Puregon at 300 units, since I am a low responder.

It's day 4 of stims and I am feeling my ovaries strong. I hope I get more eggs this time around. But I worry that I am that much older this time aroud and could get even less! I just need to chill out and wait and see. I have been super cranky lately--snapping at poor DH. He is annoying me cause he is addicted to World of Warcraft and I really need his support right now!

Hello Ladies.

I am so excited to start my stims on Wed. I didnt mean to drop off the radar we went to Fairbanks (Gosh it cold there! like -30 in some outer areas). My daughter Emily is a competition gymnast. She place 1s all around! She is wonderful to watch.

Anyway, if one more person asks me when i am going to give my DH a baby i think i punch them in the face! Is that mean? I usually have a great attitude and a smile on my face, but really, I mean I am 41, is it any of your business? and get this....one would expect a 20 (something) year old to kinda shrug it off, but a woman in her late 30's to 40's is really a force to be reckoned with. Oh well. I will keep smilin for a couple more IVF, I am not wanting be presumptuous about it all, and then I will more than likely speak my mind...

SueQ..you can actually feel your ovaries doing something? I have a g/f who can do that as well, I dont know what it feels like, i do know cramps, but that comes later. I wish I was more in tune with my body...

Good Luck Tammy! and Kelly---How are YOU?? Anyone heard from Ms. NY?

Good baby vibes to all!

I am soooo frustrated as I can feel my period creeping upon my again after 11 days, my third one in 6 weeks. My cycle is soooo f------ messed up so that I don't know what to do next. Arrrgh.

I can't start my next cycle now cause I am going away on vacation at the end of Feb, in a normal cycle I should have gone and just be starting my IVF once I return.

The other thing is that now I have no idea which ovaries turn it is to ovulate (if any) but there is a WAST difference in their response every other month and I want to be sure I place my bets rights.

I am just so mad at that stupid Lupron and the effects it is having on my body weeks after I stopped taking it!

I HATE LUPRON! And that is not just PMS talking!

When can I expect my system to get back to normal?

I realize I am overreacting, I just can't take any more delays!

Hey guys, I have takers for the ganerelix! Sorry, Kelly, you were a bit too late as I already promised it to others. (Man, I wish I had more for everyone! I like the idea of helping those who really need the help financially. I know if I had not had the insurance and a generous brother, we would not be pg right now)!

BUT... I will have gonal f. I have 600 units x 9 boxes. 1800 units are promised to someone and potentially others are promised to another person, but I still think there could be some left. I will let you know. The one lady is on follistim, but has to pay out of pocket. If she can use gonal, I will send some her way.

Lynnie, i am glad the meds will go to somebody that is in a pinch.

Sisi and Kat i have never taken Lupron/luprolide so i can't help much. However, Kat you are suppose to have a period before you start stims so i think it is all good.

NY is doing okay. She is regrouping and will be back on the boards when she feels better.

Hi everybody else. It is 11 pm here. Going to bed now. Will talk to you tomorrow.
