AFTER RETRIEVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER

Post by okandtxdr »

Hello all,

I had my retrieval on Friday, 1/30/2009 (19 eggs total). I am still bloated feeling... I haven't had any fever, chills, weight gain, nausea, shortness of breath etc... is it normal to feel bloated 4 days after retrieval??

thanks,
AD

hi Ad, if you aren't doing so already, make sure you are drinking at least 3 liters of water/day. that helps with the bloating, but if you are worried, check in with your RE.
best of luck and baby dust for your upcoming transfer! xx summer

I went through the same thing...drink plenty of fluids especially Gatorade. I started urinating all that fluid out and most of my bloating is gone 5 days after my retrieval!

I had 3 eggs taken and was so bloated I thought I would die. It was hard to lay on table at transfer cause of the pain. Nothing was wrong, I was just bloated from then squishing things to look for all the eggs and make sure they did not miss ANYTHING!
