Really high BETA?

Post by mandeekins »

We got our BFP :D and now I have some questions! The nurse said my level was really high and they were having to dilute it :?: Has anyone heard of this? When she called back later, she said my level was 893  , but said that was a fabulous number. My clinic won't test my levels again, and they'll only say it's multiples after the u/s confirms. I have another 2ww for that now!

The internet is the devil right now. I've read some articles that now have me totally worried that the number is too high. Some research suggests down syndrome, molar pregnancies, all kinds of things...I'm getting freaked out now!

My BETA was exactly 14 days after my 3dt and we put back 2. Anyone with numbers like this? Could it be that my emby implanted really early and that's why the number is so high?

Thanks for any feedback...I appreciate it!

So from you stats it looks like you beta was 17 DPO. 893 is high, but not crazy. On my twin pg, my number was 500 at 16 DPO and 1200 at 18 DPO. But the numbers can vary a lot. So my guess its twins, but it could be a singleton.

Not sure who many you put back of if you are hoping for twins or a singleton. I hope it works out to be what you are hoping for!!!

Congrats!

Reports so widely vary that it's just crazy to even guess what is going on. My first beta was 14 dpt and it was only 62 but I went on to have healthy twins? See what I mean?

I'd say sit back, relax, rub your pg belly and enjoy the next 9 months! :D Congrats on the pg!!! What a great feeling huh? Hugs to you and dh!

I dont think your #'s are that high. They ARE great numbers though. My first beta was 446 at 10dpt and 1752 at 13dpt. I also first freaked out that they might be too high and did all kinds of research. My little girl seems to be just fine. I cant wait to meet her in just a few weeks.

congrats!!

Just chiming in. My # was in the 900's at 14dp2dt. They retested 2 days later and it was in the 2700's. I was pg with twins (saw both heartbeats at 8 weeks). Your number is great. I would not be concerned at all! That being said, I too freaked at my number and was convinced it was molar so I totally get where you are coming from. Try to enjoy the great news! :D
