So the Australia wildfires are all over the news here. You Aussies okay? Fee, Angie? I figure Australia is a big country so I'm sure you're not in the fire zone, but just wanted to check!

Hi Meg - thanks for checking. The nearest fire is only just over 1 hour from us but we live in the inner part of the city so it would have to burn through alot of suburbs before it reached us. DH has been mountain biking in the fire ravaged area and we have been away for the weekend in the cute little holiday town of Marysville which was completely wiped out. It is really awful to think of all those poor people who died in the houses.

But we are fine here - we can't even smell the smoke which seems unbelievable.

Hope everyone is well - I am just feeling grateful for everything I have this week.

Angie- Glad you are ok!! I was thinking about you and Fee the other day. Stay safe!

Anna will be one tomorrow!! I can't believe it! This has been the most amazing year, and it flew by too fast. I find myself getting emotional about it! Maybe it is the hormones her little brother is sending me!

Hey Girls!

Happy birthday to Anna! Hope she has a great day and wow that year has gone fast. Still loving your blog Jenn, such cute pics! Thank goodness that you had good news about your little boy, you must be relieved!! I have been checking in to make sure all is OK!

Mego, I am thousands of kms away from the fires, they are absolutely awful, I can't imagin being in that situation. On the grooming downstairs issues, congrats on keeping all that in order due to swimming. I am so lazy that I just swim in shorts.

Tina and Mego, I also love Facebook I will PM u with my name and then we can all be mates. It is quite addictive.

Nickster glad to hear that you appear to be sailing through the pregnancy albeit with some itching probs. Can't remember exactly but I think I may have gone through an itchy phase as well.. Really can't remember though...

Tina how did you go with being away from Noah?? I have mates that go away on holidays without their babies. I just can't imagine doing it, I can hardly stand being away for a full day at work...having said that I bet those holidays are relaxing! Congrats on your husband getting a job, no mean feat with the economy in the mess that it is. That is great news...

Angie, how are you going in Melbourne, there must be stuff about the fires everywhere! There is over hear so it must be 10 X worse over there. Are you heading back to work any time soon???

Robbo! good to read ya, how are you going, have you come to a decision about whether to continue with ART?

I am still undecided about further fertility treatment for a few reasons. One I now appear to have a cycle so I could keep trying naturally! Two I am still very fat and need to lose weight and Three I just don't wanna do IVF again, I hated it! Four not to mention the flippin cost of it!

I'm off now! Byee have an early start tomorrow. Fee

Glad to hear that you guys are both out of the fires way, Angie and Fee!

Fee--I hear you on the weight thing. I'm really trying hard to lose these last 15-20 lbs. I started a new diet this week which I'm actually excited about, so we'll see. I have mixed feelings on the 2nd baby issue, too. I keep telling myself that I"m not ready, that I have too much going on this year, that I"m too fat and that I'd really like to be able to focus just on Lucy for at least another year. But then it seems like everyone around me is pregnant and I can't help but feel jealous. In Lucy's swim class, for instance, all 4 of the other moms are pregnant. All 4! So I don't know if I'm feeling jealous because I really want another baby or if it's still lingering from when I didn't have Lucy. I've decided that I'm giving myself this year to just take things as they come. We're not trying to conceive, but we're also not trying to not conceive. If things haven't happened by 2010, then we do have 7 frozen embryos so maybe we'll give that a shot. It's so depressing to even think about having to go through it all again. Ugh. Oh, and I think I added you on FB so hopefully will see you on there!

Jenn--Hope you had a great 1st birthday! My birthday is coming up in March and I was just thinking about how much more excited I was for Lucy's birthday than I am for mine. I planned hers months in advance and for mine I'll be lucky if I get a cake! I guess the 1st birthday is just more exciting than the 32nd!

Well, off to take a bath with Lucy. We just got out of swim lessons and are covered in chlorine. She was up most of the night with a fever...scary! It was the first time since she was 3 months old that we had to take her temperature and let me tell you she did not like that thermometer up her butt!

Hey girls! Hope everyone had a great Valentine's Day & weekend!

Angie & Fee~ Glad to hear you guys are away from the fires. I was thinking about you girls every time I saw something on the news about them. That is just awful. Those poor people that have lost so much, how devastating.

Jenn~ Give Anna a Hppy Belated B-day hug for me! I know I say this all the time but I can't believe how old these children already are! They really do grow up too fast!

Meg~ Is Lucy feeling better? We have some kind of flu or something going around here in Missouri and unfortuantely it seems like the kids are getting the worst of it, not sure why. I always feel so sorry for the little one's to be so sick. I hope she's better.
Good luck with your "not trying to not conceive"... It worked the first time for you! I would imagine getting back on the IVF train (like Fee said) would be so tough. It is such an emotional roller coaster and you haven;t even had to think about it for all this time. I would imagine the thought of going back there would not be a good feeling!
Well I hope both of you girls end up preggo real soon...all on your own.

Well girls...I have officially made it....12 weeks!
You would think that would make me feel better but oh no!
Is it normal after IVF to obsess about EVERYTHING? I worry about everything, and I do mean everything. It's terrible. Please tell me I'm not some wierdo freak and you guys all did this a little bit. I just hate it. I try to remind myself of all the people who I see on a daily basis that drink, smoke or/and do drugs throughout their entire pregnancies and their babies are fine. Or, the people who didn't know they were pregnant and did whatever the whole time.
Sorry, I just had to vent. The sistas are the only people I would share this with because I figured you guys would know where I was coming from and the rest of the world would think I was nuts!
Talk to everyone soon.

Hey girls!

Nickster- congrats on your 12 week anniversary! I don't think you are weird at all for worrying all the time. I haven't stopped since I found out I was pregnant with Anna! It never ends!

Anna had a great birthday. We are having a party in a couple of weeks, and then we will go home and celebrate with family and friends there.

Today was a bit of a scary day. I woke up bleeding. So I have spent most of the day at the dr. getting checked out and I got an ultrasound. Everything is fine though. She said just a spot on cervix, and it should stop. I can't wait for the next 15 weeks or so to fly by so I can get this baby out and not worry about the pregnancy!

Ahh- she woke up from her nap early. Not good! Gotta run.
Jenn

Hi Nickster - just wanting to reassure you that I worried all the time too! Worried about the scan results, worried if she was moving enough, worried my ankles were swelling, worried about the birth... the list goes on. The I worried if she was eating enough, weeing enough, pooing enought, sleeping enough and it still goes on!

But my maternal and child nurse put it all into perspective and she says as a mother you'll always worry - she still worries about her 20 year old son!

So worry away but try not let it take over. You are doing brilliantly - 12 weeks for the twinnies now - great news.

I have my date confirmed for returning to work - beginning of May so I am going to make the most of my time with Little Ams. I am going back 3 days a week and she will be in a child care centre close to work which will be nice - I can go and visit.

She is doing well - not really moving much yet- just swivveling around on her back. She is doing lots of ab crunchies and trying to sit up. - it is very cute. I think I should do some with her to firm up my jelly belly!

Have a good day/night girls.
