hi all,
I just tested positive after a frozen ivf cycle yesterday. The nurse said that the hcg levels are normal.I was bleeding 3 days after my blastocyst embryos were transferred....i am still bleeding a little and am paranoid....they are going to test the hcg levels every two days to check if they are increasing or not but i am really scared.

History-Age 25 dh-27
Severe male factor infertility
IVF #1-fresh cycle-failed-nov/dec-2003
Ivf # 2 -frozen cycle -++++ but i am bleeding...

Sorry for being so naive..

wELCOME mIRACLE!
Many many people bleed throughtout pregnancy. I did at 8 weeks but all was fine. Loads of girls on here have bled but been fine. Try and be optimistic, after all you are pregnant!! Get plenty of rest and the scna etc will come before you know it.

congratulations, helen :D

Congratulations on your +++! I know how scared you must be feeling as I had bleeding for quite a while during 2ww and beyond, I went to my Acupuncturist who gave me the foulest tasting herbs to boil up and drink twice a day to keep the baby safe etc, and stop my body from rejecting, and I am 38 weeks now!

REST is the key thing to do at the moment, so if you are currently working, get your doc to sign you off for a week or two and completely chill out.

All the very very best Miracle, you will be fine.

Lots of Love

Miracle

Congrats of your positive. :D
After my 2ww I had a blood test that confirmed and then had to have another 2 days later as was bleeding (probably implantation bleed) - this was to check hcg levels which proved to be ok. I bled quite a lot right up until about 19wks - sometimes it was spotting and on 1 occasion I had a clot. Apparently it could have been due to af, erosion anything.
I am now 33wk and 2 days. I still get the odd tiny bit of spotting but it still shakes me even though I know I've not got long before b/day. I have to say that the likkle one keeps me on my toes - he/she certainly likes me to know that he/she is definately there!!
Take good care of yourself and your likkle bundle(s).
luv Bertie x

Hi Miracle.

welcome to this side of the boards! The worrying never stops really, I bled quite heavily during my 2ww. So much so that I was convinced it was af and didn't even bother testing on my test date. It was only after a week or so and felt "funny" that my mum convinced me to test and it was positive!! I am now 18wks with one baby.

Try to stay calm and relaxed.

take care

love Julie xx

Hi Miracle

Congratulations on your +ve result. Try not to worry about the bleeding as the rest of the girls have said it is common.

I am only 26 so i know what it is like i found out when i was 22 that i would need ivf and its a shock i still can not believe it sometimes that i have been through it all and i am pg.
