Hi Ladies...Happy Valentines Day!!

LynnieC--Huggs coming your way!

I have my US monday and blood draw to see how I am doing, that is day 8 of my cycle. I dont feel my ovaries "grinding" SusiQ...my breasts dont even hurt. Unlike with the Flare protocol, my breasts felt so puffy and pained easily, i felt bloated like AF was goin to come any minute, and had some cramping. This cycle, i am not feeling the cramps or breast tenderness. Makes me fearful that it isnt progressing... My headaches are constant, and DH says i am doing well with my moods. Which I have been really trying. NOT saying that I was crazy, just a little more emotional.

Shots are going fine...as can be expected I am anxiously awaiting my U/S on monday.

L8r L8dies!

KAT

PS. Alaska is a very beautiful place. We had our engagement photos done at the same place as the picture, it is Valdez. It was near this hidden waterfall it was so picture perfect the background looked surreal

Hiya Ladies~
I am so scared--i have my egg retrieval in the morning. I'm afraid I won't get very many eggs! But what can i do? i get what I get and that is all there is to it. We are just going to have to do the best with what I have. I just hope the Doc is gentle--I hate this part of the process! I am asking for extra drugs this time! last time I didn't have enough and it was quite painful and too memorable. I like it better when I can't remember it!

Kat~You are just lovely and your husband is adorable! You did marry one young hunk--you go Girl!
I am sure your ovaries are doing just fine. I think mine are hurting cause they are just working overtime cause I dont have many eggs left! I think you are going to get tons of eggs--don't worry.

Lynnie
~I really feel for you and hope these 12 days go by quickly so you can finally enjoy your pregnancy. You have been through so much and it is so unfair to have yet another hurdle.

Suzanne
~congrats on your preganacy.

Hi girls,

I am 41 and currently in my two week wait....they retrieved 5 eggs two of which were 8 cell grade 4 eggs which is excellent...they are both residing in my uterus now.....although last night I had some dark red clumps come out which is odd (not dark brown which is a sign of implantation...I had that on Wednesday night so I'm worried it has now failed).

I went thru my first IVF just before my 40th birthday and we had a beautiful baby girl!

Good luck to all!

WELCOME MISSY and CONGRATS on being PUPO!!!!! I don't know what to make of the clots other than to say same women have slight spotting to out right full on AF type bleeding after implantation or around AF time but they have a healthy pregnancy. So lets just go with that for now. I do think you should call your RE though.

Sue, remember quality not quantity!!!!!! One good egg will get you a lot closer to success than 20 craptastic eggs. Keep the faith and keep us posted.

Lynnie, how are you holding up? Did you ever hear from the geneticist or get an US scheduled? HUGS

Kat, i am so excited to hear the results miss mega egg making machine. Let us know what is going on ASAP.

I really will get the list done today and add the new 2WW girls. FX you are both pregnant and we can add you to the success list soon. My husband has been getting on my tail about spending so much time on the computer. I will try to do it when DS goes down for a nap later. If not i will do it tomorrow when DH is at work. When the cat is away..................

Waving HELLO to everybody!!

Hey there!

SusiQ-----yikes. I am so nervous for you and I know I will be in the same spot soon, I am so so anxious and so scared at the same time! I am thankful that you are goin thru the steps before me so I am better prepared. Thanks!! My fingers are crossed for you.

LynnieC, how are you you sweet lady?

Welcome Suez14 and Missy girl (you are an inspiration!) !

Kelly, dont get a bonk on the head from your dear husband, we love you tho and NEED you. I am always excited to read your posts.

My DH is a firefighter/paramedic. He is a breath of fresh air! I did not date much after my divorce, (we met 5 years later) those that I did were pretty much pontificating A$$holes...comes with the oil and gas biz I guess, who'da thunk that my mr. right now would have become my Mr. RIGHT! Yahoo. hee hee. He is wonderful and patient.

Do any of you ladies have restless sleep? Is it the meds or is it nerves and worry??? Maybe a little of both, I guess, however, I usually sleep well even when I am worried or stress....you should see me before a depo/trial. I sleep like a baby! What's wrong with me?

My thoughts are with you ALL!

Hey,

Thanks for the note....I'll keep hoping the clumps were a one off and the brown spotting everyday is just the way it is this time....with my first one, I just had a bright red spotting one time only and nothing after that and it was successful! I can't help but worry this is not good. I plan to take a pregnancy test on Saturday as that is the day before my period is to start.

Thanks also for saying I'm an inspiration....that's nice to hear. I'm sure every 40 year old body is different. My only problem is blocked tubes so IVF was our only option.

Missy -- Hi and congrats. Do not worry about the dark red clumps. I have had ALL kinds of stuff fall out of me with this pg. First red little clots right after the transfer, then dark brown bleeding and brown clots for days 13 to 19 DPO. Then pink, then yellowm then brown, then bright red like AF, then brown.......

And guess what the baby is still growing just fine (she might have a chromosome issue but that has nothing to do with the bleeding).

THe bleeding could be from a polyp, your cervix if it got irritated in the transfer, a fibroid, or just old blood from your last cycle that has been hanging around.

The one thing of have learned is many women have bleeding of one kind or an other and even clots can be totally harmless. I do not even flinch when I see the TP has color to it.

I am just trying to reassure you that whether it worked (and I hope it did) probably has nothing to do with your dark red clumps! So keep the faith!

Fingers crossed for you!

I just got back from retrieval. They got 3 eggs. It's not very many as I suspected. I just hope they are strong! I think i was already prepared for minimal egggs so i wasnt devastated or anything (I already freaked out when they were still follies!) We will ust do the best we can cause this is what I got. On the brighter side, it was much less painful this time with minamal bleeding--thank goodness. He upped my drug dose too so i am still pretty giddy! Maybe I will stil freak out aboout oly getting 3 eggs when these drugs wear off. k--gonna sleep now. thanks for all your kind words and support.

Lynnie - thanks very much for your note...that is good to know. I just worry as it didn't happen the first time and we were successful then! But, what good is worrying at this point....nothing I can do! Thanks very much though.

Sue....3 eggs is very, very good! For my first retrieval, they only got 4 and then only 3 survived....one was 8 cell, grade 4 (excellent), one was 6 cell, grade 4 and one was 5 cell, grade 2. They put all three back in and I have a beautiful daughter to show for it. Nothing wrong with 3 eggs at all!! hang in there and good luck the next few days. Keep the faith!

Sue, 3 is great for our age. IVF 1 got me 5 and two implanted, one being genetically normal! So if not for lupus, I would have had a baby from that! IVF 2 was a bust due to meds, IVF 3 got me two eggs and both were good quality, but I had a difficult transfer. IVF 4 got me THREE eggs and I am 14 weeks pregnant. It really only takes one!

Do not panic, we are not 25 anymore! We can not expect 10+ eggs and even just a couple is better than some women who can not even get that! So three is awesome!

 SueQ... remember, it takes just one - and you have three!... many prayers that your three eggs are soon three beautiful Grade A embryos... I have a good feeling about this cycle for you... three's a charm... IVF #3 with three eggs... this is it, girl

 AKMom... thanks for the welcome, Kat... let's just say I hope I continue to inspire... it's difficult not to worry that the good luck is going to run out... but I'm praying for myself as well as everyone in our situation(s).

 missy... I was excited to read about your beautiful baby girl... lots of luck this time, as well... if you don't mind my asking, did you do any genetic testing the last time around? (I'm about a year older than you - I turned 41 on the day of my first beta)... if so, what testing did you choose to do?... I'm new to all this and unsure which route to take.

 Renee... your son is too cute... congrats on #2.

good night, girls... early morning ultrasound to see what's going on in there... I'll fill you in.

Sue, it is your turn now. Listen to Missy. PMA, PMA, PMA. Praying for 100% fertilization for you and your little eggs. Keep us posted.

Kat and Suzanne, have fun today/tomorrow (i don't know everybody's time zones) with the banana cams. Keep us posted.

Lynnie, i scanned a couple of sites about the marker. So do you know for sure it is that and not the other? In either case, the odds are very favorable. I wish you had answers. I am so sorry you are going through this hell.

Renee, that is a great pic. Have a great time with your sister and nephew. That is going to be a blast. Check in if you get a chance. If not we will talk to you later sister.

Missy, when is your beta?

Tammy, how far are you into your 2 week wait?

Sisi, did you ever tell me if your ER is early or late March?

What's new Hil?

NY, still thinking about you.

Sorry, i missed anybody. HUGS
