Tburks- congrats on the pos. test. Good luck on your beta! I am in the same boat, pos ept, but waiting for beta.

ERT- That is VERY normal. I have lumps the size of baseballs on both cheeks! The longer you do the shots the bigger it gets. It is nothing to be concerned about, but it is not very comfortable.

Good luck to everyone getting betas today!!! Three more days until my first beta!
After 7 attempts (2 negatives/3 miscarriages), we have TWO miracle boys!! If you would like to hear our story, please visit http://www.ivfsuccessstories.info. Never give up, it can happen for you!!

I don't have any lumps or anything from the PIO shots. Are you all putting them to low?? Measure the center of your butt cheek and stay on the outer-upper side of that - above your crack. It's almost the love handle area. DH gave one of mine to low and it really hurt. If you put them in the right place you shouldn't have any problems. Also a moist warm compress should help with the lumps. Where it is an oil it takes a while for it to absorb.

when we went to injection class the nurse told DH to rub the area a little after shot cause it is so thick. He did and I didn't get any lumps.

Are these progesterone shots you are taking? Wow....I'm taking progesterone but in a suppository form...either rectally or vaginally!

Well ladies, we can add one more BFP to our list. I just got the call and my BETA which is 14dp5dt is 830. :D

I can't believe after 11 years of TTC I finally got a BFP!!!

But is 830 a high number for 14 days past a 5dt? Or is it an average number? Could it possibly be twins?

Lets get a bunch more BFPs here!!! Good luck everyone.

I am new to this site and am going through IVF for the first time. I do have a beautiful 2 1/2 year old that is helping make this whole process a little easier. I just had my 3dt Feb 14 so my Beta is schedule for 2/25. They recovered only 5 eggs at retrieval but all 5 fertilized. My husband said still groggy from anesthesia, I was drilling the doctor about where the 6th egg went. We had been following 6 dominant follicles and 4-5 smaller ones, so I was very disappointed we didn't get more than 5. We transferred 2 embryos (B7 and B8). I just got a call today that 2 (B9 and B10 on D3) made it to freezing and 1 did not (C5 on D3).

Does this bloated feeling ever go away? It started the day of the retrieval and was very painful and now it is just uncomfortable.

I am thinking about taking a hpt a few days befor the Beta with the understanding that it may not be accurate. My MIL (who is a RE) told my husband jokingly (I think) not to let me take one, but he responded he just does what he is told.

Good luck to all you guys waiting and congrats to all those with BFPs!

By the way - what does BFP stand for?? I get B is either blood or beta and P is positive but what is F?

... Congrats on your BFP!!!!! :D :D :D and the GREAT high Beta!!! You asked if 830 was high for 14dp5dt... I would say that your Beta is very strong and can indicate one maybe two... my Beta at 14dp5dt was 4636 and I have B/G twins... anything is possible...

Anyway... Yeay!!! You're pregnant!!!! God Bless...
