Welcome SunMoon&Stars! That is so exciting that you start stimming tomorrow. :D I can't blame you for being nervous! This sounds like a good place for you. We have a few ladies using DE's, too. Is this your first time throught IVF?

Sisi - I'm so excited that you like the books too. None of my friends have read them. I just read the baby one when we went to Vegas in October so it's still fairly fresh in my mind. Every time someone talks about strollers I want to comment about 'pram world' and the pram room, but nobody would know what I was talking about!

Well, happy Family Day to Sisi tomorrow and happy just plain old Monday to the rest of us!

Hi Guys

Lots of posts to read....

Welcome SunMoon&Stars you came to the right thread there are a few of us using DE, me included. We are a very talkative bunch and are getting to know each other, we have all told a little bit about ourselves so if you feel you would like to then we would love to hear.

Carolyn I think at the moment I am the first for ET on 10th March but all depends on AF of course last time she came late and we were put back a couple of weeks so you never know..........

Kim you were certainly put through a hard time to get to where you are now, I must say I was shocked reading how you have been treated.........
That is so amazing you are a true childhood sweetheart!! So romantic.....

Well done Michele for doing so well on your stress test.

Sisi did you get the work thing sorted out??

Hi to Sari and Sprouthaus how was your weekends??

We had a quiet one, stayed in with a take away :)
Got houseful of various children in and out for day care and respite this week so another busy week ahead, but more in the way of parks, play areas and fun rather than long drives, long days working etc!!!

Have a good day
Catch you later
Lee xxx
Finally I am a mummy, we are about to adopt our beautiful little girl xxxxx

Hello:

I've been reading all the post, and truly can say, is helping me a lot. I had a good weekend, went to a wedding, and to the beach at night. My DH was very romantic, even breakfast in bed.

Today is my 5 day in BCP, I know is just starting, but reading all the post help me erase a little bit all my negativity. But, even though it was my DH idea to do the IVF, now he says he had a dream were I told him "If I get pregnant before treatment I get off the pills". I explained to him I couldn't get preagnant with the pills. I know this process is difficult for him too, and it make me very sad.

Thank you guys for write your histories in this site. Congratulations to the BFP, and to the others don't give up.

Kimbob - That was quite a fight you had to did. But, finally you found someone who heard you. Keep on fighting

Can I join? This is my first IVF/ICSI and really am flying kind of blind. I am supposed to start BCP on Saturday (if my cycle is on time). Planned week of transfer is first week of April or last week in March.

We are paying out of pocket so its kind of a one shot kind of deal. I have no idea how I am going to get through this. I hate shots!

My 38, and Dh is 36 with low sperm count. WE have been TTCing for 5 years with no pregnancies. We have done Clomid and IUI.

Hi Latino - welcome to the thread - it is a scary journey - i used to be petrified of needles and my first cycle DH did every injection, lasy cycle he was away with work and I did everyone myself - the first was the scariest ever - think it is all psychological and sticking needle in yourself is not normal - it is just one of the many hurdles you have to overcome in this crazy world of infertility  Ask away with any questions - there are several that have cyceld before and some that are also on first attempt like you - you will be fine - postiive mental attitude (PMA)- goes along way in this game !!

Whats your story - where you from ??

Sari - how wonderfully romantic that sounds walk onthe beach and brakfast in bed - god in the Uk a walk on the beach in january you would need six layers of thermals !!!

Hows everyone elses monday ??

I am from DC orginally but I consider myself a NYCer since I lived there since 1988. We moved to San Antonio, TX two years ago.

Since my cycles were so normal and everything was good, we assumed we could have children at any point so we waited until my mid 30s to start trying. I think if this doesnt work, we might adopt or do FET if we have any left over. I dont know.

Just wanted to pop in and say hello to everyone. Welcome to the new ladies.

Kimbob- your journey has been quite a struggle. It's one thing to deal with the infertility part of it, but to get roadblocks put up by your doctors, whom you look to for help and advice just makes it that much harder. Good for you for not backing down.

We all have to be our own advocates with this stuff. I know I am an endless googler over every little thing. I feel like I could get my medical degree when this is all over :-)

Hope everyone is having a nice monday. Nothing much going on. I have an HSS tomorrow morning and I am hoping everything comes back normal so I can start the Lupron next week.

Hope every one is feeling good. PMA to all.

A quick welcome to our newbies- I will catch up with you tomorrow.

I know kimbob was having trouble viewing ella's pics, and I know a lot of you enjoyed seeing them, and I was posting a new youtibe video of her tonight and thought, "hey, maybe my ivf friends would like to see." There are a few videos of ella, and some ultrasound videos too, which are neat. Just copy and paste:

Personals to come tomorrow, and I also just want to say again, I am really happy with the way this thread is building, I have been a part of many threads on these boards and it is rare to come across such a gem, I am truly excited to share with all of you and to learn about all of the amazing ladies here. Ok, nighty night for me!

Hi latino trust me by the end of your cycle you will be doing the shots like you have always been doing them!!! They are ok, hope AF comes on time for you, this month you will be waiting for her with anticipation rather than dread!!

Sari how romantic, as Carolyn said over here in the UK we would be freeeeezing right now on the beach and probably wet with the rain!!!
People often have wierd or starnge dreams during this process, I have certainly had a few as has DH, our minds way of coping with what we go through I guess.

Sun have you started your meds today? Another one of us on the count down now!!!

Michele I had a look at your pics and videos she really is a cutie :)

I can't remember who asked but the study I am doing is an advanced skills in foster care, its online and modules and assignments relating to the children we have looked after and the needs they have etc etc. Trying to learn more insight into why some of the children behave as they do, and I guess the biggest thing I have learnt is most of the children we have live with us have brain damage due to the trauma they have suffered. (We tend to have the 'more difficult to manage' children placed with us) But because you can't physically see they are damaged it is hard to get that accross to other people. So we do a lot of baby attachment work with these kids to try and build bonds with them so they may have a better chance at an adult life. Can be difficult getting your head round doing the baby soothing stuff with a nine yr old, have had to let go of all my preconcieved ideas of what is appropriate to do with children at what age!!!

Hello to sprouthaus, Kim, Wishing, Carolyn, Sisi theres getting to be lots of us, sorry if I missed anyone

See you
Lee xx

Still waiting to start BC pills. Im trying to not think about this cycle too much, get lost in work and such. Thank goodness this is going to be a very busy time at work. My mind is a dangerous thing. LOL.

Sun, how are the stims?

Sara30, I hope you are right about the shots. Im such a wimp. Are you a psychologist? I noticed the study on foster care.

Wishful, thanks for the encouraging words.

March/April cycle buddies??

Just to Recap. Who's on BCP's? My Dr. Didn't tell me when to buy the meds. Also, I'm a little worry because I have flu symptoms and don't want to be sick when I finish my pills.

Sari- I am on bcp's. I have been for over 5 weeks now. I was supposed to take my last pill this past monday, but because of the upcoming polyp surgery, they told me to stay on them.

Welcome to our thread latinosunshine, what a cute username. I bet by the end of all this you will be a pro, we will guide you through.

Wishing- I am a googler too. It is so smart and tells me everything. Like today, I googled, how do I make toast without a toaster? I haven't had bread in my house in a while and my toaster is stored away, so I did it in the frying pan, just like google told me! Just becareful not to become a cyber-condriac (one who googles medical stuff and then worries they are sick). I love that term, learned it a few months ago.

kimbob, carolyn, sisi, sara- hope you are all doing well. We are getting awfully close to march, it is creeping up on us, I can't wait until we all start cycling.

Talk to you all later!
