I have a question. My RE called and said I need to order more PIO shots. I was told I need to take them for 12 weeks!!! Do you guys have to take them that long??? I HATE those shots. They have been hurting worse and worse these last few days. I was told I have to take them until April 8th!!
Thanks again ladies!! It's still hard to believe at times.

YAY Tburks I am so happy for you. I knew you would get a BFP. How did you get your results so early in the day?
Jenna- I think all of us are in the same boat and have to take the shots for 12 weeks. I am kind of use to them now even though my butt is sore. While on the topic do any of you guys have real sore breast within a couple hours of the shot. I do, but it always seems to ease up some by morning, but I have a dull ache all day. Not sure if it is the shots or a pregnancy symptom.
ionlywant1- Thanks for the list!! That is so helpful. Congrats on your numbers, they are looking great.
Labstoo- Great number!!!! How many days post transfer are you?
Molly- I think it is good that they wait. If you go too early and don't see the heartbeat, you would be wondering if there is something wrong. I know I would anyway. I'm sure mine will be early so I will need to expect just a sac, so I don't get worried.
siouxsie- Good luck with the beta tomorrow, hope is has more than doubled!! Did you have a relaxing trip?
June bug- I know what you mean, mine is in two days and it still feels like it is taking forever!!!
Barbd- I would call, just so you don't have any added stress.
tburks- number sounds great!!! Congrats!
Jennlb- I think I have to be on them until 10 or 12 weeks can't remember which. I think it is pretty normal. I hate them also, my whole leg is sore right now, so I have been going in the same side for a few days in a row!
As for me, I have 2 days left until beta!! I am so anxious to hear my numbers. Starting at about 6dp5dt I became sick at my stomach, and it last for about four days. To me this was a really positive sign, but I have been feeling better since. I don't know if that is normal or I should be worried about it. It seems to be too early to have morning sickness anyway, but I did for a few days. Anyone had anything similar?
After 7 attempts (2 negatives/3 miscarriages), we have TWO miracle boys!! If you would like to hear our story, please visit http://www.ivfsuccessstories.info. Never give up, it can happen for you!!
tburksCONGRATS!!!LOL, this is too funny. I was also 130 when I started all of this and am also 148 now. I was just weighed yesterday by my DH's aunt so that she could weight my purse. LOL She said it is TOO big and insists that I downsize. Wow, again, congrats!!!!

Hi Ladies. I thought I would join this board as well....I originally joined the Jan/Feb board but since I'm officially in the dreaded 2 week wait - I thought I'd join this group as well.
Congrats to everyone with the BFP!! That is great news and definately keeps me motivated!
As for me, this is our 1st IVF. We had ER last Monday (2/9) and they retrieved 22 eggs - 12 fertilized and they transferred 2 great looking eggs on Day 3. They froze 4 others and the other 6 were stilling going strong so they were waiting to see if they could freeze more on Day 5 or 6. Hopefully they will (they said I will get a letter in the mail so I don't know for sure yet!!).
Anyway - my BETA is on 2/28 and this wait is driving me crazy!! How did you all make it?? Haha!! Did anyone have any symptoms before the BFP?? I feel like my breasts were sore and I was more bloated right after the transfer so I'm a little worried. Should I have any symptoms this early??
Hi girls! Wow, I've been glued to the computer screen like I'm watching my fav soap opera (Young and the Restless by the way)....ya'll are so fun to keep up with and the BFP's have been AWESOME! I have been watching (aka....reading) ya'll, calling ya'll the BFP sorority!
I posted originally last summer when i went through a fresh cycle, but it ended up in a chemical . So on February 13th, I did a FET and transfered 3. I swear nothing is more freaking stressful! Two weeks of waiting, stink! I just thought I would join in hopes of getting a little bit of this sticky baby dust to STICK ON ME for a change! I've been so crazed worrying I've done something wrong after the transfer....to much stress on us for sure!
Quick history: Me: Bad endo, 32 yrs old-3 surgeries. Hubby is perfect no issues 37 yrs old. TTC for 4 years. 2 Failed IUI's and 1 failed Fresh IVF attempt July 08 (3d3T).
Hopefully this will be our time...we used all the remaining frostbabies this time...I wasn't a stellar producers to begin with, only 8, with 7 fertilizing.
Love reading everyone's post....they get me through a boring day at work! Good luck to everyone!
I still hope to have some good news to share later today, but I wanted to take the time to catch up with everyone.

Way to go!

Don’t worry about not spotting. It definitely doesn’t happen to everyone. I think it gets a lot of air play since it presses an instant panic button when it happens.
BarbD
I agree with bdantonio, if it relaxes you, ask for the second beta. But, they’re moving so quickly on your U/S so I imagine there’s using that as an alternate method to ensure everything’s progressing smoothly.
JennLB25
Like Missy said, the progesterone suppositories ARE a lot easier to deal with.
brit1612
I agree with you about the early u/s. Last time I did one early, but didn’t see the heartbeats. (We did see that it was twins.) I was a bundle of nerves until he next one.
Don’t worry about your nausea. It’s normal. I’ve had a few waves, but no actual vomiting (Sorry, don’t visualize.) Someone here was getting it badly, Barb I think?
I’m still confused about what’s a pregnancy symptom and what’s a drug side effect. Mainly, I’m having, sore breasts on and off, occasional slight nasusea, bloating and super keen sense of smell.
kt257
Welcome. It does feel like forever. Then, you get there, and you’re just waiting for more things – a beta, an u/s, a new cycle. If I was inclined towards karma, I’d conclude that I probably needed to go through this to build my patience because it’s definitely not one of my virtues. (But, enough already! I learned my lesson. Really.)
I can’t believe they make you wait for mail for your frosties! At this price, you deserve a call – or at least an e-mail.
Some people on this board had symptoms early, inc. many which seemed pre-menstrual.
floridagirl1
Welcome. You’re right, it is sort of soap opera-esque. I sure wish there were no tragedies, though.
When’s your beta?

08 IVF: lost twins 1 MC/1 anencephaly
1/30/09 FET: BFP!
9/21/09 She's here! born 5 weeks early, 4lb. 6 oz., 17-1/2 in.
I am worried because I feel almost like I have no symptoms yet. My breast hurt but I think that is from the progesterone shots. They hurt really bad a few hours after the shot, and hurt some throughout the day. I don't feel sick to my stomachyet, but I guess I am tired sometimes, but I am not sure if that is because I am worn out. When should I feel symptoms?
tburks!! Congratulations!!!! You know what they say.... Good things come to (s)he who waits. The level sounds great. As for the weight thing, I actually don't have the courage to jump on a scale. But its a nice bonding ritual to see how fast and how much we can all pork up. But to me, its always been my dream to be a pudgy lil mama.
It's funny that we all come up with the worst case scenario whenever we do or don't feel symptoms. Guilty as charged. BarbD if it makes stress less, you should call for a second beta. Junebug just take it a day at a time. I think most of us didn't spot and if I'm not mistaken a majority of our sisterhood have BFPs
BarbD I spotted and took 2 days off work and when the bleeding went away I went back and within 1/2 a day began bleeding again. That was Thursday last week. Sunday no more bleeding but felt like I was having contractions (I don't really know what those feel like) so I took a week off and am slowly increasing activity now that I know that betas are climbing. In truth... I'm scared. I know bedrest hasn't been proven. I've never ever ever been this pregnant before. I feel like the dream is almost a reality and I don't want to do anything that would jeopardize things. I don't want to bleed again. I know I can work up the courage to return. I just need a little time. However I kinda like that DH brings me breakfast in bed.
kt257 and Floridagirl1. Welcome to the BFP sorority. We're the beta beta betas But I personally think that the baby dust in this room is extra sticky. Reading the posts definitely makes the day go by faster.
Sorry to say JennLB those hurtful shots are a reality of your pregnancy for the first trimester. If they stress you out you can ask RE for suppositories like missygirl is doing. What gauge needle are you using? I have my DH give it to me with 1 1/2" 25 gauge needles. He has to push extra hard but I think it causes less tissue damage. Can't really tell much coz I ice the booty for about 20-30 min prior.

Hi everyone! Thought I would join the 2ww with you. I've got 5 days to go until my beta. Sounds like there are so many positive things happening for people I hope it is contagious.
Here are my stats so far ME-31 DH-35. We are in IVF #3. We have had one ectopic, resulting in the loss of my right ovary and tube. We decided to try IVF after that. Since then I have had one pregnancy from an FET after IVF #2 but we lost at 7 weeks.
Here is where we are today...ER 2/8 - 9 Mature & 7 Fertilized
ET 2/11 - 1-8 cell and 2-6 cell
BETA 2/22
Fighting the urge to POAS. How early did y'all see anything if you did?
I meant my friend Steph at the clinic at the start of our very first invitro process. It was really nice to have a friend who was experiencing the same thing as I was. We both were pretty much on the same exact schedule. We called each other everyday to give each other positive support. We each had 2 grade 1 embryos implanted 3 days apart and unfortunately they didn't take but our friendship has be remained strong and we are going through the journey together once again.
There is nothing like having a friend to support you during this time! Good luck to you! All the best wishes for you!!!!
