Stopping seen on and off

Post by San926 »

Anyone experiencing spotting on an on and off basis?
i noticed pinkich-brownish spots 2 weeks back and it lasted for 3 days , the tests were normal, i was in my 10th week.

i am completing my 12 weeks tomorrow and i again noticed some spotting when i wipe myself.
my nurse told me that its no cause of concern as IVF patients show more symptons of spotting than regular conception.unless the spotting is accompanied by reddish bleeding, nothing to worry.
But i am as usual a little scared, so waiting to see my Doc on Monday, the 23rd for all the tests.

has anyone experienced this?

It is VERY common with IVF,some people even bleed for a while during the first trimester.I did, they never found the reason.Sometimes it's subhorionic bleed or slight placenta separation. There is a whole topic on this forum about spotting, just look further down.Good luck!

Thanks Marina and bdantonio,

i am a little more than freaked, as i went to the bathroom and a clot of blood fell and i had blood on the tissue when i wiped myself. i have immediately called my nurse again and waiting for her call. i did read about a lot of stuff in the other topics ( thanks Marina for the suggestion).

i was hoping that things will be better when the second trimester starts, but this anxiety never seems to be ending! :(

San,it's always the best if you can go for u/s,because it could be nothing or a sign of something serious.Insist on seeing you on u/s.

hey MArina and bdAntonio,

so, finally my nurse calls me and she immediately asks me to come for an u/s.
the u/s showed the babies doing fine, so thats a relief,
but apprently i have a low lying placenta ( placenta previa) and fibroids ( 2, but thankfully they are not coming in the babies way),. so all these are the trigger points for my spotting, at least i have not seen the clots since yesterday, but reddish-pinkish streaks when i wipe myself!!!

The crampings on my right side are because of my uterine wall expanding and stuff, so at least thats understandable!

Crayyy times! i just completed my 12 weeks, was hoping to enjoy my second trimester without any issues, just keeping my fingers crossed!!!

Thanks Marina and bdantonio,

yes, the placenta moves as the pregnancy progresses! i am hoping that happens to me! but anyways, because of my previous uterine surgical history, i cannot anyways have a vaginal delivery, so it will be a planned c-Section! so i am hoping whatever is the case, the Spotting Should STOPPPP!!!!its getting stressy! :(

is working ok? i dont have a very stressful job, i drive like 10 min to work, and i sit in fron to the laptop!, i have a little stool below my desk, so i can keep my feet up!
