Hiya

Summer - more PMA and have you stocked up on the HPT yet ?? Yes let linic know that DH will be armed with questions !!

Pauline - have you heard from Gennet yet - they usually respond within 24 hours - ooo and 2 holidays to look forward to am soo jealous - thats what I hate about IF you cannot plan ahead and I am such a control freak like to plan and be prepared - so as you can imagine it takes me well outside my comfort zone!!!

Chris /Kelly - hope both ok

hi Pauline, your trips sound great. May is a wonderful time to be in the US - enjoy!
In regard to DE, do you know your donor? I am confused as to how you know that your donor isn't scheduled till October. What information has reprofit given you so far? Sounds like they work differently than where I am. Regardless, sounds like you are working at your own pace, which is really good.

Carolyn, I am stocked up and ready! :D  Really ready, that I am not sure about -- but I really hope for something positive on Friday -- to see 2 strong lines on that test would be a first for me...DH said that he won't believe anything those tests have to say and won't believe anything till we hear from the doctor on Wednesday evening -- But still, he wants to see what they say...

chriss and kelly - hope you are both well!

OOO summer - only 3 more sleeps till testing - 14 days from transfer is when would test in UK - I know some clinics in Uk have you test with HPT and if positive go for Beta - my clinic always just does a Beta - not sure about Gennet - though tried not to think that far ahead yet !! more PMA on its way - My DH would be exactly the same reaction as yours though

oooo how great is this - as you know DH off to Prague to leave his little sample on Thursday - leaves on 7am flight - but only one flight back at 9.30pm - so you can imagine he is not best impressed at having to hang around all day to get back - our new bestest friends from Prague are going to finish work early on Thursday and take him for dinner before taking him to he airport ... we are just so lucky to have met these good people ... I really believe it was all fate .... and last three nights I have had dreams about being pregnant .. when went for accupuncture last week she asked me if had any strange dreams at which point I had not ... hope its just another positive sign ????

carolyn, you are getting closer - step by step! How exciting for you both and how great of your friends in Prague to take care of DH before he flies back to you -- like a little mini break...

My clinic wants you to wait a minimum of 17-19 days, so then (they say) the test is 100% reliable (probably because they only ask for the results of a urine test and not a beta, which they ask you to take when the urine test is positive) and then you only have about a week to wait till the u/s scan... Guess they take into consideration all the late implanters and have everyone covered by waiting so long for you to test -- as it is, I have to wait anyway!!! Really can't believe how the timing worked out for this with carnivale and all...

I am sure you will only have to wait 14 days and the long wait is just a quirk of my clinic...I am surprised at how many clinics seem to have women testing after 10 or 11 days, then they have these betas which might not really be "mature" -- I don't know, they seem to offer more uncertainty than comfort --

Anyway, I am rambling -- sorry for that. Have a great evening.

the carnival/fasnacht time is the time before lent starts -- In my town the parade and costumes date back to the 15th century -- quite a sight to see. Carnivale in Rio or Mardi Gras in New Orleans are a bit more over the top than here -- but all are celebrating the same thing...

Hello. I am new to the board. This is my first IVF and I will be going in April to Prague.
Carolyn, I noticed you are going to Gennet, that is where I am going. Have you been there before? I haven't found others who have gone there.

Summer, congratulations, thanks for starting 2009 with a BFP  Good luck with your beta on Wednesday.

Carolyn, haven't heard from Gennet yet but have figured out that it is because I didn't use the international email address, so have just forwarded my email to them. Hope to hear from them early next week.

Hi Biancajb & welcome.

Hi to everyone else.

Have a great weekend everyone.
