Hello everyone. I'm new to this forum and have been trying to catch up with everyone's stories. This is my first IVF and my beta is on 2/20. RE retrieved 7 eggs and all 7 fertilzed. Transferred two 1-8cell, 1-7cell on day3. Wanted to cryopreserve the remainder 5 but found out from my nurse today that they did not make it. Anyone with no embryos to freeze? My DH and I had 2 failed IUIs. 6 cycles of clomid prior to the IUIs with my OB. Tomorrow will be a week from transfer. Been feeling crampy after transfer and on and off cramps up to today. Some lower back pain as well. Have read that implantation takes 6-10 days after transfer. Dying of suspense and thinking of taking a HPT. Noticed that my beta is on the same day as some of you. Keep me posted with your results! Worried that since the remaining embryos didn't make it to blasts will be a bad sign that the 2 that were transferred will be the same. Those with BFP, what symptoms did u experience? Congrats to all of those with BFP, hang in there for those with BFN.
My beta is also on the same day. Somehow now i feel empty. PMA has gone way down!!!!!!!! I transferred 3 (perfect) 8cell grade A embryos on day 3. I am currently 7dpo (4dp3dt). 8 DAYS LEFT!!!

yay! There really are others getting the results on 2.20.09
This wait is awful!
For me though, my conversation with the embryologist yesterday was extremely helpful and I'm more relaxed than I have been through this whole process.
The whole IVF process has been under such a microscope lately, I'm so thankful we told no one. Especially given that our doctor's advice was to transfer all four embryos. This seems to be the only safe place to talk without being judged or having one's physician raked over the coals for his decision on the number of embryos transferred. Thankfully, most here seem to understand each situation is different and that good doctors make the choices based upon things like how old the patient is and the likely viability of the embryos.
About the home pregnancy tests -- how accurate would those be given all the injections? My protocal had me injecting hcg, which I think is what home pregnancy tests detect.
I casually asked the nurse the day of transfer if I could take a home pregnancy test and she just said, "alot of times those will give false negatives which won't help to keep you in a positive state of mind"
I did FET Jan`20th and got my bfp Feb`2nd,beta was 189,I did have 4 embies donated to us but only 2 were very good and the 2 other didnt make it,so like you I was scared to death but ended up been prgo!!
Thanks for everyone's support. I feel a lot better knowing that everyone here is going out of their minds waiting for the 20th! My RE had me use prometrium caps vaginally instead of the IM progesterone? Anyone on this as well? Seems like most people are on the IM one. Less injecting is fine with me as long as they are both as effective? Also, my center does not require for me to come in for progesterone testing during this 2ww. It sounds like some centers do and I wonder if that is something that I should inquire about at my center? I thought wait 14 days after hcg shot if you were to do a hpt. Most people discourage this though. Has anyone? 7 more days!
Welcome okandtxdr! Has anyone taken a hpt? I couldn't help it but took a one this AM and it came out positive! I'm afraid that the hcg (10,000u) shot is still in my system though? I took the shot 13.5 days ago? I don't know if I can wait till Friday! Thinking about taking another hpt tomorrow?! I was afraid that it was over because for a while I didn't feel anything and these couple of days, I was getting period like symptoms (no sore bbs though). Feels like my period was coming on for sure. What symptoms have everyone else been getting? 2 more days!
I have not taken a hpt... I wasn't sure when the trigger shot would be out of my system and how early I could take one. As a matter of fact, I didn't even buy any hpt's so I wouldn't be tempted
I am so nervous and wish Friday would get here... I will do my beta around 7:30 that morning and I don't think my RE's office will call until late Friday afternoon - like 4:00 or 5:00pm! Friday will be a long DAY!
I took my trigger on 2/4/2009...
I don't know if I am having symptoms ... sounds weird I know... but I am on 1ml of Progesterone and I don't know what symptoms are created by that. I have mild cramping on occassion, sore and swollen breasts, constipation... not sleeping at night - getting up to pee
I didn't have any spotting after the 5d transfer and still have not spotted.

Hey, you should stay positive. It's not over until the DAY. I have read (from a lot of forums) that a lot of people end up with +beta even though they tested -hpt. Look at bdantonio's post.

A lot of people say it takes 10 days for the hcg to leave your system--no more than 14 days from your shot. Not sure how accurate this is? Reason why I'm still scared and nervous about getting my beta. My husband was really the one who made me take the hpt--I just happen to have 1 left from last cycle. If it wasn't for him, don't think I would have the nerve to do it. I do my beta Fri at 8:30A and probably will not get my results until 3 or 4. It will be a LONG wait!
Honestly, I have never been pg b4 and not sure what to expect (sxs, signs). I really don't have many sxs. I may break down and take another hpt tom. We need to all stay positive!
I had gshawful cramping today and my doc wanted me back in to once again rule out ohss.
GOOD NEWS! (sorta!) he did u/s said everything looks fine ovaries are a bit enlarged but he ruled out OHSS. AND he sent me to the lab for bloodwrk -- the results will be back in the morning!
