TBurks: I don't think your first beta was low at all. Check out the website betabase.info You had your first beta 15 days after ER which is the same thing as 15dpo. The average beta for 15dpo is 135. Yours was higher than that!!! I know it's hard, but try not to worry!!!! Good luck with beta #2 tomorrow!! I have my 2nd beta tomorrow too!!!

Rosario: Congrats on the BFP on your HPT! Hope things work out with your DH!!

To Have Fun- I am wishing you lots of baby dust this weekend when you POAS!

Roasrio- Yes HPT test are evil but so tempting. I am glad you are getting a postive line, and I hope everything works out with your DH.

Tburks- Don't worry so much. LOL like I am one to talk. Your beta is great and I am sure your numbers will double or triple in the next few days. When do you go back for your 2nd beta?

Rosario- Congrats! I told you not to lose hope just yet!

Tburks- with my first pregnancy, my first beta was only 44 at 12dp3dt, so your number is definitely not too low.

For everyone going for beta #2, Everyone says it is supposed to double, but the actual numbers should double every 2-3 days, so don;t be alarmed if in 48 hrs, they don't double. It is perfectly normal for the number to only increase by 1.5 times in 48 hrs, that's how it was with me. As long as it goes up, you should be good.

Ok OK i promise I am done for the day but 3rd HPT and its a BFP again!!!! It does take time to show but its definitely there. This is so surreal. Its funny because I left the Nurse a message asking what my next step is after I get a BFN on the beta. She laughed and said "where's the PMA?!?!" Thanx to all who said congrats. We will confirm on Friday though!

Holly BFPs!! I have been super busy and haven't had a chance to get online in a couple of days. Big mistake.

CONGRATS to Tburks & Shelley

Waiting - I am so sorry for your BFN, but it sounds like you are headed in a positive direction.

Rosario - Sorry for your DH troubles. It isn't like you are going through enough right now. I hope to hear an official BFP soon!

There is a lot of activity around here - so much so that it is hard to keep up with! It appears that all of you who are on stims right now are producing plenty of potential eggs!! Keep it up and good luck.

As for me, I have been trying to keep myself busy so that I don't have the urge to POAS. I obvious don't know what it feels like to be pregnant myself, so I can't say if I am having any symptoms. The only thing that is really different is I now have boobs! DH is loving them, but I know they might be growing because of the PIO shots. Friday seems like a decade away. Just be here already!! :x

So I took another HPT and it came up BFP right away!!! My Dh and I are going crazy. The nurse said if it is a positive then believe it. I think he has told the world in the last couple hours. We are nervous too, we have been waiting almost 10 years for this day and we dont want it to be to good to be true. I don't go for my beta until sat but i am going to ask if i can go friday which is when it seems everyone else that had the same day transfer is going.

Congrats to that latest BFPs Shelley and Tburks!! You did it! You are going to be Mums.

Rosario~I am so sorry your DH is giving you trouble. I hope that you two get that worked out soon. I am thrilled about your BFP on the HPT! Maybe the news will knock some sense into the DH.

Waiting for 4~I was sad to read about your BFN--my heart goes out to you. And you are going through such a tough time now with the DH losing his job too. It's great that you are staying strong and already have a plan of action. You go, Girl. big hug for you!

Chris~How are you feeling? When will you POAS? I hope all is well.

I had my transfer this morning. One 8-cell and one 9-cell embryo with no fragmentation are safely back inside! I am thrilled to have such good quality embryos in the end as I was really freaking out after only getting 3 eggs! shew. I am hopeful. And eating tons of pineapple--they say it helps implantation (the core especially.)

sue- congrats on transferring 2 good embies!

As far as the pineapple goes, this is a topic up for debate all over the internet and ivf forums. I have read that the bromelain in the stem of fresh pineapple can aid in implantation, but I have also read that large doses can cause uterine contractions and spontaneous abortions, so I would read everything I could about it, and I guess it comes down to personal choice, some people swear by it, others avoid it at all costs.

Hello Ladies... well it is Wednesday night. I am just checking in... and I see alot of u ladies keeping busy :P Thanks for making this forum so great. As for myself, i went for another US this morning. They kept me on 200 follistim still, they say my estrogen still looks good, and my uterus is up to 10mm...Yipee!!! I go in again on Friday for another US and for my IVF exam. They told me that tomorrow night should be the last night my DH ejaculates cuz I may be looking at Sun or Tuesday ER. I have about 13 follies. Some are 10, 11, 9... this is so exciting. I am finally bruising on my belly from the Heparin injections, but it's ok.

Rosario... Sorry about your H infidelity. I hope you will work it out, there is no one here to judge, you do what is best for you. As for the HPT, I think u r going to be ruled as the #1 POAS Queen... :P 3 in a day!!! LoL... well, I am glad that u r getting the results back positive. Now u can breathe and keep your mind on the upsoming Beta when it is official. Congrats hun and Good luck.

Rosario: I am so sorry you have to deal with this right now. Poor thing :( Oh and Congratualtions on the hpt!!!

Waiting for 4: I just pm'd you about Follistim and then I finished reading down and you asked about Femera. I've had that and it gave me lots of follicles. I didn't have any side effects either. I think If I remember correctly I started the pills on the 3rd day of my period and took one each day for 5 days. Our doc followed up with IUI. We did 4 cycles of that. I don't know why my doc didn't give me clomid because they didn't see any female factor for me. He just went straight to that one. Everyone else I see starts with clomid. Well I hope that helps you. I just read kt's response we had white blood cells too.

For everyone else on Follistims. Have you'all had any trouble with cramping. I've been cramping almost nonstop with the follistim. It's worse about 20 minutes after the shot and sometimes it gets better. Is this a good sign or bad sign? It also feels kind of funny when I cross my leggs. Is this just in my head?
I'm 26 -DH 27
We just found out we have an egg quality issue
Low count, motility
4 insem
Our First IVF with ICSI
FEB/MARCH- BFN :(

Forgive me I don't know all the lingo on here yet :)

Hey! Good Morning everyone...

I have a question for the ladies who have gone through IVF before. I am of course waiting for my 1st ultrasound, and I am wondering when they do that if they check to see if your cervix is closed? I have also read that if they hear a heartbeat your chance of miscarriage goes down to 3%. Have any of you heard this before.

Have a great day everyone. Congrats to the BFP from POAS. :D

Molly- I dont think my RE checked for my cervix being closed but yet, if you hear a heartbeat the chances of m/c go down. We heard a heartbeat at 6 weeks though and still lost the baby but your numbers are strong and if the HB is strong, its a great sign. My RE told me all along the little guy was a little behind where he should be, so there are definite signs beforehand. If your dr is comfortable with the way things are going, just relax and enjoy it. In less than 9 months you'll have your little one in your arms. Good luck with everything. I am definitely excited for you!
