bfp... progesterone question / need help

Post by brit1612 »

I posted this question in the pregnant after treatment forum, but I thought I would see if ya'll had any info for me.

I was hoping some of you ladies could help. I just got my bfp yesterday. 14dp5dt and beta was 1225! I am thrilled about the beta but my progesterone was only an 11. I was on 1cc of progesterone, and now I will be on 2cc's. I am glad that they caught it and raised my dose but I don't know if it is something I should be worried about. Will this affect the baby or babies??

I would love any insight, or similar stories. Thanks!!!

if I'm unerstanding your question, are you asking if the progesterone can harm the baby?

If so, the answer is no. Progesterone is natrually produced by your body in prgenancy and will only serve to support the pregnancy without causing harm to your little one.

Congratulations!

I know that progesterone itself does not harm the baby, but I am worried that my level being too low could harm the baby. Have you heard anything about this??? Thanks.

I don't know for sure but I would highly doubt it. The threat would be to not sustain the pregnancy rather than cause harm to the baby.....but thats just my best guess.

Hi - first of all congratulations! - try not to worry (I know its easier said than done!) They don't even test for levels of progesterone at my clinic! I'm sure if they have increased your dose then everything will be fine.

Good luck
