Sonu- Congrats on your little boy. If I am not mistaken, we cycled together the first time around on dec/jan 08 buddies along with esperanza. I am so happy you finally can hold your little miracle in your arms!

I saw you guys talking about lists for the hospital. All the lists you find online are pretty good, but I wanted to add a couple I am so glad I had or wish I had brought. I read somewhere to bring a boppy pillow if you were getting one, and I am so glad I brought it. My incision was kind of sore from c-sec, and I just wanted to hold her all the time and the boppy helped alot. Also, I wish I had newborn or premie clothes with me, but I could have never predicted I would have needed that. She was born at 6lbs3oz and all the hospital stuff was way big on her, even the 0-3 month stuff I had brought was too big. One of my aunts ended up knitting her a hat that would fit her head.

Romi- So I see you finally registered. I know you were torn with if you should, when you should and where you should, so where did you end of going? I am glad you were able to enjoy the experience. Your shower must be coming up soon...and you must be getting excited! I can;t wait for your little princess to get here already!

To everyone else here, good luck on your upcoming deliveries, I will check in on you agiain soon.

Esperanza - I registered a few weeks ago. Glad to have had the Baby Bargains book to know what was necessary and what was just more crap the stores want you to buy. Also wanted to let you know that I've been to Las Cruces too. Went to college in Albuquerque but plenty of friends were down in LC so I visited a few times. Are you or DH employed by the university?

I'm officially in my third trimester now. Woohoo!

I'm a little concerned about some cramps I've had yesterday and today. They feel like menstrual cramps, which is on my checklist of symptoms of preterm labor. But, they seem to mostly happen when I'm standing, and seem like they would be a normal occurence as baby starts to get this big. Anyone else experience them? I haven't had any of the other preterm symptoms.

My best to all the rest of you ladies.

Hi everyone, Sonu in special,

Now I have Internet in my hospital room! Happy to share the joy of Sonu's baby boy!!! May he grow under your loving eyesight and your wise guidance. May he learn to wait and strive for things he wants, just as you did on your journey through parenthood. And, most importantly, may he restore his faith in goodness and love by remembering all the nice moments you have provided to him in this early time of his long life.

I am doing OK on my bedrest (pre-eclampsia), ready to deliver - however, the doctors are trying to push for a little more. Tomorrow I have a bit test, will keep you posted. Babyloves, are you still able to use shoes? I can't...my double ankles are in style now, inside a funny Shreck pair of sandals.

Alreadyblessed, you've crossed such an important line at 32 weeks! I am working on it (a few days behind you, I think). There is a lot less risk of brain hemorragy from now on :) Hope you've enjoyed your babyshower.

Esperanza, how is the ballerina doing? She will be born with the rythym and the melody in her heart, following her bi-cultural heritage...Let me tell you...moments of passage like birth, marriage, etc...change roles and bring more of the role/gender/class conflicts to the marital table. We should not stay much focused on it, and try to make each one of us more in tune with the baby - hope that is possible...

I am still laughing with Esperanza's request of having the "bush" trimmed by DH :)...I would feel kind of shy doing that but....some find it erotic. I went to my Brazilian wax lady a few weeks before getting into bedrest. after a couple of times (and pain), the growth slows down so I am still doing fine. The problem is, I can't see it due to humongous belly and DH is much more interested in the full house right upstairs of my crotch...

thank you all thinking of me and my 3 beannie babies! And I hope everyone is ok!

Hello ladies,
I know it's a little late but would you all mind if I joined your board? I'm currently 33 weeks pregnant with twin boys. My due date is april 14th but who knows with twins. Especially mine which are big for their age.

It kind of just occured to me that I've been exclusivly on the twin board and haven't joined a month club. So I'm hoping you ladies will accept a newbe who's pregnancy is almost over.

Hi Ladies,
Welcome SilverAngel! Glad to have you on board. I am due April 7th, but with a singleton, so you may actually go before me. You never know with these little ones.
Lit~ So glad you are still hanging in there. You are my hero. I laughed when I read about your shoes b/c my mother bought me two new pairs of boots for Christmas as my old boots are beginning to get very scraggly. Long story short, the "old boots" are the only things I can wear these days, and I am wearing a hole in them. I get some crazy looks, but they are so cumfy. I figure there is always time for fashion AFTER I give birth.
I have been having on and off bouts with insomnia that are making me crazy! On a happy note, I had another ultra sound, and the placenta has FINALLY decided to move to the Northern part of my uterus, so the placenta acretta is not longer a concern. Unfortunately, my B.P. was slightly elevated during my last doctors visit, and I had protein in my urine, so they will be monitoring me for preeclampsia.
I can't believe that March is this weekend. It is sooooo real to me. I have moments of elation, and moments where I am freaking out!
Yes, my baby shower was this past weekend, and it was lovely. So nice to have friends and family around just to celebrate your baby. It is truly heartwarming.
I have a friend who is due April 28th, and we have planned a huge surprise baby shower for her on March 1st. We have totally thrown her off, and she swears it is the 8th. She thinks we are all going to brunch on the first, so I am soooo excited to see her reaction after all the hard work. It is those moments that make it all worth while.
How is everyone feeling? I hope you are all doing well. Hang in there ladies............we are really in the home stretch!!!!! SO EXCITING!!!!!!

alreadyblessed - I know what you mean about comfy shoes. I only have a few pairs I'm wearing right now. Congrats on your placenta moving - I'm jealous!

SilverAngel - welcome! I'm actually due in May but if she decides to come early I could join you ladies in April.

Had an U/S today and my placenta previa has not moved. OB says to plan for a C-Section and I have to go get steroid shots next week to mature baby's lungs in case I start bleeding and we have to deliver early. Good news is that my cervix is still a nice long 4.5 cm. She said that if I do have bleeding it probably won't happen until 34-36 weeks. I'm now on the 2-week interval for appointments myself.

We did get some cute pictures of our little girl today. In one she has her foot right up next to her head. To be that flexible again! Everything else looks good - weight is 2.5 pounds and she only measures a few days off her due date.

Thank you ladies for your warm welcomes.

Alreadyblessed: My doctor actually schedualed me for a c-section on april 7th. I'll be 39 weeks but he said that he would be the most shocked man in the world if I made it that far. He says he really see me going into labor with in the next 3 weeks or so.

He also said that the chances of a vaginal birth are slim to none since my Tommy (baby A) has never been in th right position and is unlikely to get into it now that room is limited.

I'm kinda freaking out that I'm going most likely going to have a c-section. It's really hitting me now that the boys will be here really soon.
I don't know if I'm crazy or not, if it was just gas or not, but I could swear I felt a contraction a little while ago in my kitchen.

It felt like a period cramp, which is what I hear labor feels like for the most part, and lasted about a minute. Definately not a braxton hicks, which had been my friend every now and then.

Could this be it???

Hi ladies,

My NST and amniotic fluid were okay, but the nurses tortured me that day...i waited for the apt for 1 hr, and then the RN put on the monitor to measure the Hbs and was only getting one HB for about 45 min, she didn't bother to check before or change the positions of the monitors....lying on my back. Then, the RN director came and found the HB quickly by u/s and monitored for about 15 min, and at that point i'd had enough...they made me late to my ob apt, and i was so furious, that i started having lots of contractions and had to take my medication....anyway, i don't know why they do sooo much monitoring...is it b/c of twins or my preterm contractions? the cervix is okay so why do this every darn week??? ugghhh...

anyway, thanks for letting me vent.

literatriz: have they had trouble finding all the different HB's on your trips? how are you feeling on bedrest in the hospital..i'm surprised that you had a brazilian wax during ur pg...that's pretty cool. i went and had my first pampering session of a full face threading - figured my face would be all smooth for my babies, plus good photos in the hospital - every little bit helps...:)

kerpupples: sorry about ur previa..hopefully it will move. I've had the steroids, and its not so bad...just another butt shot.

alreadyblessed...i have the same due date as you too, but i'm sure i'll go first at this rate. i too have insomnia really bad...i tell DH that nighttime is the worst time for me...glad u had a nice baby shower

silverangel: i too will most likely end up with a c-section as baby A is always breech and B is always tranverse, doubt they will move now. To tell u the truth, i'd rather have the cs than vaginal - i'm afraid of the pain of pushing out two...plus if one is out, and the other can't come out, they do a cs, and then u're recovering from 2 procedures which is the worst situation. Don't be too alarmed about a few stronger contractions now...i've ended up in the L&D twice without it being the real thing...so false alarms to happen, but always best to call the ob :) Hope they hang on longer!

Sonu: ahhh..u must be in heaven...or maybe already a little sleep deprived...hope ur doing well!

esperanza, jennywit, CTmichelle: how u doing? hope all is well

My dear Friends

Sorry for taking so long in replying!! Life has never been like this... :)

Thanks a million for all your wishes. We both are doing great so far.
We have named him ANAY which means god answered!!

So here's my delievery story in short. while I was with doc's regular visit on 17th, I was told that I am effaced and hence since i had opted for c-sec. I was told to select a day within the next two three days for the surgery. I was more than ready the same day... :D and the docs also managed the same evening. So, Anay was born the on 17th Feb at 15.18 hrs (IST). He was immediately brought to me for breast feeding, altough I wasn't successful with feeding the first day but my son sucked like a champion. :) I start getting some milk the next day. Now, he is completely on my feed and is doing great. He also got his first vaccination. We will again go for his weight check after two days.

My recovery has been tremendous, thanks to my mom and my family here, they have been a great help.

Life is so beautiful with him, he is so tiny and I am waiting for him to gain some weight quickly!!!
