Anyone have ET today?

Post by hoping4success »

Hello,
Anyone else have their ET today? Would love to have some people to talk to. I just had 3 embies transferred (2 day transfer). Am freaking out b/c I had to go to the bathroom immediately after transfer and hope I didn't lose them!! Am getting my first progesterone shot tonight (dh is preparing right now). All so scary!

Hi hoping4success – I had my ET today. I had 2 embies transferred (5dt). I was hurting so bad after the transfer because I had to go to the bathroom! Nurse told me to wait 30 and then I could go. I waited and then when the time came I actually pushed myself to stay in bed for the full hr. I don’t know how I made it but I did. Did the nurse say anything when you went to the bathroom? I started Progesterone 2 days after Retrieval so I am now on 4th day of Progesterone. I have my 1st beta on 3/3. I have been in bed all day and I am getting very restless. DH is very strict on me and wants me to be in bed laying flat. When I get up or sit up in bed, DH reminds me that I need to be laying down. He actually is starting to get upset when I get up or sit up. Praying we get that BFP!

Baby dust to you!

Hi ctran,

Thanks for your reply! My clinic said I could go immediately after the transfer since the embryos were in a different place and they also don't advocate bed rest (though they do say take it easy day of and then back to normal activities - but no strenuous exercise, lifting, etc.). They also have everyone start progesterone 2 days post retrieval no matter when the transfer date. I guess I just have to trust! Thats great that you were able to have 5 day transfers - I think your chances are better for a BFP b/c they are of better quality. I only had 3 embryos fertilize and since they were transferring all 3 (b/c of my age - 38) they said it was best not to wait till day 3 since they would be better off where they belong. They were very high quality though so we're happy about that. I can't help but keeping feeling neurotic about going to the bathroom though! oh well! I'm glad we're on the same cycle we can keep each other company through this. When are you going in for your beta test? I'm 3/9.

Yes every doctor is different but just make sure you take it easy until beta test! I am sure you are fine even though you went to the restroom right after but we can't help think but what if... That's awesome that all 3 were great quality. I have my beta on 3/3. Today is Day 6 and I got a call from the embryologist and we didn't have any to freeze. They said the grading of the ICM which makes the baby was low. A little sad but I am more focusing on the 2 embies that were implanted.

I am confused. How are you day 6 and have a pregnancy test on the 3rd... that would be only 9 days past transfer. I had my transfer on Friday, Feb 20, and they are making me wait 14 days, don't get tested until the 6th. It may have to do with the fact that they have supplmented me with HCG. Good luck to both of you!!!

My doctor does it 14 days post retrieval. So since I had a 5 day transfer, I only need to wait 9 more days. I always wondered why people had to wait 9 days as opposed to 14 days. I finally asked the doctor the day of the retrieval and that is what he told me.

ctran: I don't know what ICM is but I agree with you - don't be sad!! Focus on your two embies that you had transferred. From everything I've read a 5 day transfer is fantastic - that means they were really good quality and now you don't have too long to wait!!

lilmd: I think every clinic is different. I had my transfer yesterday and I have to wait a full two weeks!!! So I don't have my test until 3/9. Oh well, I think the key is to keep as occupied as possible.

Thanks so much for the words of encouragement. I've gotten over my "peeing" freak out stage. I ended up emailing my nurse last night b/c I was driving dh crazy! Anyway she wrote back first thing this morning and said there is absolutely no way you can flush out the embryos. Intellectually this makes sense since it takes a few days for them to implant and there is now way any of us will hold it that long :P

Hi :)

I had my retrieval on the 23rd and my transfer on the 26th. I'm so excited to find people on almost the same schedule! :)

My doc. got 4 eggs and 3 fertilized and they transferred all 3. My test is on the 10th and it seems like a lifetime away!!!!

I had some mild cramping yesterday and last night my right ovary felt like it was on fire but today everything feels normal.

I'm on progesterone suppositories and estrogen patches. I only had to rest 10 min. after the transfer and they told me 48 hrs. of being a couch potato. I'm a teacher and have tomorrow off for Pulaski day so I really haven't done anything since Thurs. so I'm hoping all my rest, prayers, and visualizing are helping everything along!

Baby dust to everyone!!!!

Hi,

I also had my ER on the 23rd. My ET was on the 28th. I ended up with 4 blasts in the end. I transferred 2 and froze 2. My beta is on 3/9 which is also my husband's birthday-- must be a good sign. :D
